It was a combination of a terrible RT, never lining up a TE on the right side of the line, and just a slow QB.... It got ridiculous at one point. I could have had more, but I called off the dogs late in the third.

Cal shutout WSU last year - they are terrible. I could literally toss aside the block every play. On top of that, there was never any blocking help because they run 4/5 WR sets and my end was in unabated to the QB regularly. I didn't realize he had 12 until after the game. I thought he was around 6 or 7. The CPU had half those sacks. Def still on the cheese side, but wasn't intentional. I don't know if this was a result of the the slider change. I've never had that much success getting to the QB.

Didn't Wick used to get ridiculous amounts of sacks in this league? I haven't been consistent at these kind of sack totals.... This was a fluke game.

I'm not the commish, so won't comment other than to say that if I like 4-5 sacks user controlling a player, I wouldn't user control him the rest of the game. But not my place to say anything, so take back my previous comment. And yes, Wick has like 60-70 sacks with a DE one year and that went over like a fart in church

You should no thats unsim and not realistic. You pull your guy out if he is getting stats like that. You just destroyed a record by alot of sacks. That DE needs to be benched the rest of the season.

and this is going easy on you. I am giving you leeway because youve been great so far and good with content. That kind of stat line would get you BOOTED from most leagues.

Really? Once I realized the numbers that were taking place I started playing as a DT, then swapped out the defense in the 4th.

I've always played as a d-lineman as I cause more touchdowns against my team than anything else when I try and play as a LB or safety. You can ask Raidernation & uncleho on that. I honestly did not mean to stack sack numbers like that. I generally don't have the game audio on as I usually have ESPNEWS or something on instead so I didn't know he broke the sack record until after the fact. I knew I was getting good pressure but really didn't know he himself had that many. I thought it was spread through the d-line more-so.

I consider myself flagged and warned.

Is the Cal DE who got 12 sacks still playing? He should be buried in the depth chart for the rest of the season. We are not having a DE break the sack record again.

Should we up the slider? It seems it is too easy to get pressure usering a DE. I just flick the right stick to the right and get a sack with my DE.

Its highly dependent on your DE's abilities, I barely get near the QB most of the time, his has good pass rush attributes.

I agree with uncleho. My DEs have rarely crossed the line of scrimmage against the computer in a pass rush situation in 30+ games. The only times my team gets sacks is when the computer QB pulls the ball down and attempts to run. Mostly, my defensive line stands right in front of the offensive lineman like they have velcro stuck to the front of their jerseys.

Super close game and a tough loss for ASU but a great win by Washington.

We should incorporate Pac-12 Player of the Year (Off & Def) as well into this blog - or at least front runners from each team. We need an almanac spreadsheet created to keep track of all award winners going forward (for all awards, not just pac-12). I am good with excel, but HATE Google spreadsheets. I did see an almanac Google spreadsheet in another OD we could use. I can work on these potential award nominees (they would be user players only for obvious reasons). I have pulled an O&D stud from each team (Cal gets 2 D guys cuz my line is that sick :trophy: ).

    Thoughts?

    Front Runners:

    Colorado
    WR Rich Mayes
    FS Kyle Bowie

    Cal
    RB Danial Lasco
    LE Todd Barr
    RE Puka Lopa

    ASU
    WR Richard Mayes
    SS James Allen

    Washington
    QB Cyler Miles
    FS Tom Davis
