    Lawrence, Kansas

    Baylor Bears - 15
    Kansas Jayhawks - 33

Kansas gets their first win of the season, knocking off Big 12 foe Baylor in Lawrence, 33-15. The game started out terrible for the Jayhawks as starting QB Brock Berglund was knocked out of the game early in the first quarter with an injury. Junior Ron Quinn stepped in a managed the game well enough to come away with the victory. The Kansas defensed forced 3 turnovers and the special teams chipped in, taking the 2nd half kick-off for a TD. Next week, Big 12 play continues as Oklahoma (I think) comes to town. The Jayhawks go to 1-3 on the season, and 1-0 in conference play.

    Kansas Stats
QB Ron Quinn 9/21 159 Yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
HB Dreamius Smith 24 Carries, 142 Yards
WR John Smith 3 Catches, 69 Yards, 1 TD
TE Zach Durbin 3 Catches, 62 Yards
MLB Jason Hensley 11 Tackles, 9 Solo, 5 TFL
DT Sam Edwards 2 Tackles, 2 Solo, 1 TFL, 1.0 Sack, 1 FFUMB

Arizona gets the win but this wont be a typical game recap. Me and gowazzucougs started our game and played well into the third quarter. With the game tied at 7 apiece and me driving at around the WSU 30 the game completely froze. Until that point it had been a back and forth battle where both teams had committed turnovers deep in opposing territory and while 'Zona seemed poised to take the lead, Wazzu had played better if you checked the stat sheet. If it werent for a fumble inside the 10 and a FG missed from 30 some yards the cougars would have led by 10 points easily.

So, after the game froze we decided since it was in the 3rd and tied we would play one half, since I had the ball WSU would kick off to Arizona and whoever led at the half would simply complete the game vs the CPU.

Now, here is where the crazy momentum the game has built into it really hosed Washington State. Arizona marched down the field on the opening possession of the "second half," converting a couple of key third downs and getting a touchdown. On the ensuing posession Wazzu turned it over and Arizona scored again to make it 14-0 (21-7) and clearly capture the momentum. for the rest of the game (half) pretty much everything went wrong for the cougs from super LB picks by 'Zona to dropped balls by their wideouts to 3 guys hitting the Arizona HB at the line of scrimmage and him still somehow breaking free for a first down on 3rd and 5. Suffice to say Arizona won the half 31-0 and therefore the game by an unofficial score of 38-7. The final score on the dynasty wire is 66-0 including the second half vs the CPU.

Good Game cougs, I would have liked to have seen the first game play out, it felt like it was gonna go down to the wire for sure.

Good game, I have decided I need to play you using a regular playbook. Both times that we have played the game has froze when I called an audible. I think I could have taken you both times if the game hadn't froze. Oh well.

Sloppy game, as both teams turned the ball over 3 times apiece. Unfortunately for Navy, their turnovers were a little more costly, as 1 interception was in the end zone and another came after a great interception by a defensive back and during the return he was stripped. That play resulted in about a 10 yard gain for the Bearcats and a first down. A few plays later, HB James Levine punched in a short touchdown to give UC a 21-10 lead. Navy put together a nice drive, but it was cut short by another interception. UC went three and out, but milked the clock down to about 3 minutes. Navy quickly scored, but couldn't convert the 2 point conversion. The Midshipmen recovered the onside kick, but stalled around the Bearcat 35 yardline after consecutive sacks. good game UniQue2Three Thanks for hopping on there and knocking the game out.
