    WSU 38
    CAL 49

First, apparently Coach Worgum fired his offensive coordinator during the week, because Coach Worgum had no access to his pistol/air raid offense playbook. This proved to be very detrimental to the Cougars. Who had to play catch up for most of the first half as Cal jumped out to a 14-0 lead. WSU was able to get on the board early in the second quarter when CB Troy McGuire intercepted a pass and took it 80 yards for the score, then with under two minutes to go in the half the WSU receiver Caleb Hill caught an 8 yard TD pass to tie the game. Then Cal responded quickly going the length of the field scoring on a 26 yard TD pass from Kyle Bohem to Treymane Williams. On the first play after the CAL TD, WSU's QB Jimmy Laughrea threw a 71 yard TD pass to Curtis Henderson. However, the WSU defense couldn't stop the Bears' offense who went back down the field to score a touchdown before the end of the half.

In the second half the points came quick and often for the Cougars. WSU score on a 75 yard TD pass from Laughrea to Henderson, then on their next possession Jay Ajayi scored a TD on a 76 yard run to give the Cougars the lead. The Cougs also added a field goal to extend their lead to 10 points. Then in the fourth quarter it was all CAL, the golden bears scored 21 unanswered points, two of their scores came of interceptions by Laughrea. This was truly a disappointing game for the Cougars, who hoped to make a statement with a win against the Bears.

Well my defensive coordinator was fired as well, I had custom defensive pb for this team as well, that I couldn't access, but that wasn't the problem. I will admit it was not my best game defensively. What killed me was my QB threw 5 picks, one was a pick 6. Plus the two in the fourth quarter really hurt. One of the interceptions was quite unreal when you watch the replay, a CB ran over to cover a RB on an angle route and jumped the pass. I don't know how many times I have ran this type of play, and I have never seen a CB do this. In addition, I got burned on a jumped ball in the end zone, and then another deep pass in the end zone. The last thing I will add, Bigelow kid Jayrah had at HB those first few seasons was Marshawn Lynch reincarnated. He could not be tackled.

QB Millard was under distress all day by the USF pass rush. The pass rush made Millard have to make some quick decisions, which wernt good ones. 4 interceptions by the Bulls D helped kill drives by the Mountaineers. Luckily USF could not take advantage of the turnovers. Millard came back from the poor performance and hit a wide open TE Jones for the game clincher.

    #9 West Virginia 27 - #25 USF 22

Kansas capitalizes on 7 OU turnovers to run away with the game in Lawrence. We did little on offense but didnt have to! The Sooner offense decided it didnt want to hang onto the ball so we took full advantage of that.
    Player Stats

KU HB Dreamius Smith 15 Carries, 97 Yards
