Coach Cheez expected to lose by 40. Wisconsin sure did make a case for it. After a trade of FGs for both teams, Wisconsin ran away with the game, literally. The Illini D was shredded left, right, and up the middle by the rushing attack of Williams (117 yards, 2 TDs), Bain (60 yards, 2 TDs), and Livingston (44 yards). On defense, except for two big passing plays for Cheez, the Badger D shut down everything and anything Illinois tried. The 2 FGs they had came off the big plays through the air they had. Momentum will have to continue into next week, as we play a top 5 Penn St team in Happy Valley.

    #2 Wisconsin 34 - Illinois 6

Much needed bounce back win for the Wildcats. Franklin passes over 300 and Williams rushes over 100. First balanced attack ballgame i've had so far this season. Next up is ranked and undefeated Washington.

What a wild game in Lubbock for the Aggies, winning the game with 20 seconds left. Lost Howell early for the game and then my top rb McCloud for 3 weeks. I'm already down my starting SS and another starter. Somehow managed the comeback win after a back and forth game. Full write up later tonight as the girlfriend has the cpu.

Iowa goes down fighting. What started as a blowout ended up being a nail bitter. By the end of the 1st quarter Iowa was down 24-0. And with one minute left in the second half Iowa was down 31-7 but scored 2 TD in that time frame as a fumble by Penn St set the 2nd TD up. So I am only down by 10 at the half and I get the ball back.. I score again and folks we have a game. It was a dogfight but in the 4th qtr down by 3 Iowa miss a 33 yard field goal wide left game over Penn St Survives and wins 45-35.

    #21Texas A&M 42 @ #10Texas Tech 38

    Lubbock, TX

In a thrilling, hard hitting and bitter rivalry game Saturday evening, the Texas A&M Aggies prevailed over the hated Red Raiders of Texas Tech. The Aggies were more than tested in this one, they were battered and knocked around, but they hung in and overcame continued adversity throughout the contest to prevail.

In the first qtr, Alfred Howell got rushed and dropped to his back, causing a dislocated shoulder. Then Texas Tech quickly put some doubt into the traveling contingency of A&M fans by firing a long bomb td stike to take a 7-0 lead. Backup Lonnie Dahl came in and was asked to try and hand the ball off. The problem was that Tech had plans of not letting the running game advance the ball against them, and continually sent blitz packages. After 3 possessions of this the Aggies decided to get away from it and gave Dahl a green light, which he promptly used to his advantage. He went 20 of 28 for 358 yards and 3 tds, including 1 int.

Meanwhile Tech's qb Whitfield was very good, going 32-47 for 488 yards and 2 touchdowns. But the game changing drives happened in the first half, when Tech was inside the 10 and had to settle for a FG, and then immediately forced a turnover the get the ball back. They got inside the 10 again, but again got turned away again. This gave A&M a breath of life that they would take advantage of.

Starting RB Johnny McCloud got drilled to begin the second half, after scoring 2 first half touchdowns. The initial report has him sitting for 3 weeks. The backs still combined for 160 rushing and 78 yards receiving, the most crucial of which came with 20 seconds to go by backup Isaac Neil to give the Aggies the lead for good.

Next up: A revisit to Nebraska to face the Huskers
