Post your predictions for your team, division, conference, star players, etc.

    Washington Redskins

The Redskins lost a lot of depth to free agency this past off season making them very thin at a lot of positions. The extended play time for the starters may prove to be taxing late in the season. Also, the Redskins are significantly weaker on the D-line, however, their exceptional linebacker corps will have no problem picking up the slack.

Offensively, the Redskins starting receivers are now in their 30s. So look for Heyward-Bey to step up as the go to receiver for RG3.

In order for their success to continue into the future, Washington will need to address the issue of age at many key positions. Nonetheless, this season, the Redskins expect nothing less than to win the division and go deep into the playoffs.

    Philadelphia Eagles

Eagles have tried in previous two seasons using a stop gap at qb without any success, and finally the team drafted a qb #1 overall. While most would say that its a learning season or a building year ...this team finally has expectations after a good offseason. The Eagles have made it clear they expect to make the post season. Injuries have plagued this team in the past, but If healthy this team should sqeek into the playoffs even with a rookie behind center.

    Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals came into the off-season with 1 goal in mind: BEAT S.F. So that planned all their off-season moves around that goal. The best signing this off-season came in the pre-season when they signed WR Wes Welker off of waivers. They got a nice addition to the receiving core in the draft as well. Their plan is to fight as a strong defense with a strong offense. As of Week 2 I would say it worked.

    New York Jets

The Jets made a few key moves this past offseason in order to turn the franchise away from the dire straits it has been in the past few seasons. With two solid drafts in a row, including the key additions this year of rookie OLB Asa Davidson and WR Akia Green, the Jets finally acquired an elite-level QB in Tom Brady. With an improved defense and 2nd year HB Xavier Slaughter looking to improved on his first season, the Jets are poised to make a run at the playoffs.

Worst team in the league the past 2 seasons. There are rumors out there that this may not happen this year. Coach Conforti seems to have found the formula to start getting more consistent games and therefore start winning games. We don't have the best team in the league, but we do have some great group of players in some certain positions. Apart from our well know receivers, this season we have added 1st round rookie Mike Gates. For some people not the best player at his position, however he has done enough to show them wrong. He helped the team to beat the Browns, with 1 tackle, 1 forced fumble, 1 interception and 1 defensive touchdown. Along with M. Gates we have a couple of new rookies starting for this team. Chad Greenway had to be cut this season in order to free up some cap space, we and our fans were afraid about losing a great player. In his position we have found a replacement n LaCraig Middlebrook, that just after 2 games already has 12 tackles.

Our team is young and we have some good rookies this year and from our last season, and they are ready to change this team and this organization.

    Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins had a very quiet offseason with not much cap space available for Free Agency. They did sign quite a few solid depth players on the defensive side of the ball, as well as pickup WR Brandon Lloyd in pre season to go along with an already great group of WRs in Hakeem Nicks, Jeremy Maclin and James Jones. The Dolphins also signed Mikel Leshoure and drafted RB Ronald Whiteside in the 2nd round of the draft to give them good competition at RB with Lamar Miller already in the mix. Dolphins management is unsure if they will be able to stay in the top 5 defense category as the previous 2 seasons with the losses of Kevin Burnett and Paul Soliai and with Cameron Wake and Karlos Dansby much older on the front 7, but the team thinks Tannehill is poised to carry this team with all of the weapons the team now possesses on the offensive side of the ball.

How do you respond to a 15-1 season your first year in the league?? That was the question that the Saints needed to address this offseason. They did so by bringing back their key young players. This team is loaded with talent that went under the radar come draft time. However there were some glaring holes on the defense and offensive lines that were definitely filled this offseason through the NFL Draft.

    3 Impact Draftees

1st round - Zachary Rotenkolber - Coach's take - Zach was an absolute steal at the end of the first round. We figured he was a top 10 pick with top 5 talent. He's a leader on the offensive line and will be a starter from day 1. When he fell to us, we felt we had the steal of the draft.

1st round - Lamel Seawood - Coach's take - We knew the Bucs wanted him at the top of Round 2 so we had to make a move. While he was projected to go later in the draft, we felt he was the best Safety available and with Roman Harper getting older we needed to have him on the field. We look at Lamel as Laron Landry clone that can actually cover. He also will start.

3rd round - Bar'ee Venable - Coach's take - Bar'ee is a guy we expect to be on our O-line for many years to come. He has a chance to learn from one of the best so we expect him at some point to take over our LG spot. He is another steal in the 3rd round.

Predicition - Schedule this year is a lot tougher for the Saints. A 12-4 record would be a great season. Come playoff time in the NFC, they need to beat a good team to be taken seriously. The Saints are close, but I still think they are a year or 2 away.

    Carolina Panthers Draft
To start off the Panthers made a few trades , sending the number 15 pick to the New York Jets for their 2nd, 3rd ,and first round pick next year. Carolina was not done there and moved their own second and third round pick to the Rams for the 20th pick, but then Carolina got greedy and traded the 20th pick to the 49ers for 2 extra 4th rounders and the 27 the selection a move that Carolina regrets for multiple reasons. The first Carolina's player fell to 20 and all the way to Seattle, Willie Burns would of been the dynamic pass rusher Carolina was looking for and they just missed out on him after he was projected to go top 15 and fell.
    1st Round
After letting CB Chris Gamble go the Panthers looked to sure up this position with their first pick taking 6'2 Jimmie Patterson out of Michigan St., this big man coverage corner will step right in and start for the Panthers in place of the departed Gamble.
    2nd Round
The Panthers lacked offensive weapons last year and when the opportunity to take one in the second round they seized the moment and chose TE Ryan Johnson from Cal. The 6'5 blazing speed TE will form with Greg Olson to make one of the best TE tandems in the game, look out for this kid this year to make some noise.
    3rd Round
Coming into the draft the Panthers only had 6 o-linemen on their roster and had to reach in the 3rd round and take the highest rated tackle on the board in Antonio Baker from Wake. The Panthers are going to give Baker the shot to claim a starting position at left or right tackle or he will be the top backup at both positions but eitehr way he will see the field this year for Carolina.
    4th Round
The Panthers had 3 picks going into the 4th round and sent one away picking up a 4th rounder next year and a 5th this year. With the other two choices Carolina went WR and lb by default. Out of ECU the panthers chose Khiry Donaldson who at 6'2 and 98 speed set the tone for the other receivers Carolina would draft in the later rounds of this draft. LB so and so did not wantahim was promptly released after the draft as Carolina ran out of time as they got froze in the menus and the cpu picked a lb they could not use.
    5th Round
The Panthers had 2 picks in the 5th and they were both used on speed taking WR Rich Egnatuk out of Wofford college where Carolina holds their training camps in the offseason, Egnatuk and his 99 speed are what prompted the Panthers to take him. Continuing with the trend of speed DE Kileon Mitchell out of Wisconsin was the very next pick for Carolina , the 6'5 279 pound Mitchell possessed 90 speed and 90 acceleration to good to pass up especially this late in the draft.
    6th Round
In the 6th even after signing P Chaz Henry in the offseason the Panthers took a shot at one of the three Wessling brothers in this draft selecting Bobby out of VT and promptly released Henry after the draft.
    7th Round
Knowing that Steve Smith could possibly retire after the draft Carolina took a shot at Smith by drafting another WR which was the final straw for Smith who faxed his retirement papers in after the selection of a third WR saying it was time for the young guys to have a shot in Carolina. What do you know Carolina took another speedy WR in Dante Davis 97 speed and 99 acceleration , they are gonna need all the help they can get as all of the WR taken in this draft have super low awareness.
    Overall grade B-
Coach King gave himself a B- post draft due to not the players he chose but the decisions made before and the missed pick during the draft. The so called draft trade master regretted making his 3rd move of the day after missing out on Willie Burns whose stock fell in the draft after he refused to convert to OLB , but would have fit right in at DE for Carolina.

Bears off-season Underwhelming after planning for big moves

The expectations for the 2015 season are much higher than other teams would expect from a team coming off a 5-11 record the prior year, but the Bears have the division title in their sights. They didn't make as big a splash in FA as they had planned for, as they missed out on signing TE Vernon Davis, who was their #1 target. They did however manage to sign Camron Howard, a left end, who has come in and played very effectively at the start of the season.
After re-assessing the roster in the offseason GM and head coach Gary Alan has decided to transition to more of a passing game, with more shotgun looks and less fullback formations.

In the Draft, after reeling from missing out on TE V. Davis, the Bears probably reached to secure their TE of the future in Dylan Brown with their 1st round pick. They then proceeded to help the defense out with the selection at OLB (Brad Wiessling) and DT (XXX Cooksey).

Overall, despite the underwhelming moves in the off-season the expectations remain high. Look for the Bears to get to at least 10 wins, with 11 or 12 within reach.

During into the Off-Season the Pats first made noise when they cut WR'S Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd, The decision for Welker was made when the front office said the money wasn't worth the production he was producing. Lloyd was a Cap casualty the Pats wanted to clear up some space for there draft picks and a few needs in Free Agency. During Free Agency they made offers to WR Nate Washington to replace Lloyd and for depth and made offers to Kicker Greg Zuerlein who signed, They wanted to Resign FB Chris Gronkowski But were beat out by the Colts.
Going into the Draft the Pats didnt have any needs, They decided to trade out of the first for Giants 2nd and 3rd round picks:
    2nd Round:
WR Jalen Williams: With their first 2nd round pick they selected WR Jalen Williams who they viewed as the 3rd best WR in the draft he will be put into a system to learn from WR Jamaal Hicks and come in on 3 WR Sets.
DE/DT Malachi Mike: With their second 2nd Round pick they Selected DE/DT Malachi Mike The pats knew that Vince Wilfork was getting old so they went ahead and drafted a big DE/DT hybrid in Mike who can use his strength to collapse the Pocket much like Wilfork Can.
    3rd Round:
TE Adrian Jackson: With their first 3rd Round pick they went with TE Adrian Jackson who stands up at 6'7" and weighs 260, With this system having More TE'S is always a good thing.
CB Lorenzo Hopkins: With the Departure of CB'S Ras'i Dowling and Aaron Berry the Pats decided to Draft CB Lorenzo Hopkins who they view as a fast CB who excels at Man Coverage.
DT Aleon Young: This was a pure depth Pick and they viewed Young as the best DT available at this pick.
    4th Round:
RB Earl Noel: With the losses of RB Jeff Demps and Brandon Bolden they went with a RB in this round.
    6th Round:

    LB Mitch Mcgruder: Depth Pick

    7th Round:

WR Orville Hobby: In the 7th round they Felt that the BPA was WR Orville Hobby, He was brought in to Return Punts and Kicks.

QB Brandon Hankins: Was a Depth Pick who turned out 2 be a gem, He currently Starting for the Pats after he beat out Wilson in preseason.

    Overall Grade: B+

    Season Prediction: 12-4

    49ers 2015 Season Predictions

    Round 1 Zac Foster LT

Foster was the 49ers first choice of the "guy" they wanted in the first round after Joe Staley was cut for cap space. Foster has huge upside but still needs playing time to become a more complete player on the tackle position. Once he learns to pass block better he should be a probowl caliber tackle.

    Round 2 Carson Crosby SS

Crosby is an extremely raw talent by has a high football IQ and adds depth to the 49ers Safety position. He will not see any solid playing time until he know the system better but should be a solid player in years to come.

    Round 3 Karsten Bodenstein QB
Bodenstein adds depth and will serve as a back up role to Colin Kaepernick at the Qb position. Has great intangibles but still lacks the throwing power to work well in coach Westcott's offense. Given time and some strength training he could win games for them if Kaepernick goes down.

    Overall draft grade C+

The 49ers addressed more depth issues more than anything else. They got their LT addressed but nothing that would be eye-popping other than that.

    Prediction: 12-4

The 49ers may not be as good as they were last year all around. But their offense looks explosive with their self titled "Flying Circus" WR core of Lyons, Lipsey and Williams. If they stay healthy and Kaepernick continues to improve they could still contend but may still be a step behind the Redskins in the NFC still.

The Browns return this season as the reigning AFC Champions and 2x AFC North Champs.

This past draft we had a limited amount of picks and really focused in on about 40 players that were scouted heavily. In the 2nd round we drafted WR Reginald Thomas. Thomas was the best route runner in the draft and has a great set of moves to evade tacklers in space. We feel his is going to be a great slot receiver and returner for our team over the next few years. In the 5th round we drafted MLB Dontae Brown and were really hoping he fell into our lap before the draft even started. Brown comes into the league with 98 hit power, and some great skills at MLB. This is just another key into our eventual transition into a 3-4 front. We feel we struck gold with this pick as he has Superstar potential and should be a great pair in the middle with Pro Bowl LB Dqwell Jackson.

This season has started very poorly for us. We are 1-3 right now and the team has been playing very bad football. Bad blocking, nobody getting open, porous defense, and nobody has stepped up to take over a game on either side of the ball. We hoped to get back into the AFC Championship game this year and repeat as division champs again, but it looks like we will be fighting just to win a few games this season. Joe Haden is reportedly on the trading block and might find a new home before the trading deadline or during free agency.
