With Duke crowned as champion.... we are heading into everyone's favorite time of year... the offseason... with the offseason brings arrivals and departures which lead to Position Battles....

QB-- Its Jason McGee's world for the next 3 seasons, unless something drastic happens...

HB -- Alex Jackson takes over as the man, for his senior season with Maurice Hill coming in to spell him from time to time....

TE -- Still Palmer and Tidwell, the loss of Crowder will be felt, but Palmer is a adequate replacement.

My entire offensive line is up in the air right now... with 4 :4stars: recruits coming into the program and only senior starter... conceivably all four freshman could start, but that is unlikely... more than likely Matt Holden will slide to guard (his natural position) Ostrander will slide outside to tackle... and 3 of the freshman will fight for the center position, with one of the losers slidding to guard and the 3rd getting redshirted...

DT -- Jon Campbell is the starter for the next two years..... unless freshman Marvin Allen is rated higher..

DE -- Kyle Stanford is the senior leader on one side with Junior Corey Sanders manning the other spot...

OLB -- transfer Mike Griffith should come in and be dominate... he has the skillset to thrive in the 3-4... on the other side steady Andrew Armstrong will start for the 3rd season....

MLB -- nothing changing in the middle Adams and Hamilton for one final season....

Secondary -- there is only one position open and thats RCB... there could be a fight among 4 players for the spot though.... that depends on how highly rated my JUco FS come in rated...my FS Coleman was originally a corner, but has play very well at FS... for him to slide back to his natural position for his last two seasons could make our secondary spectular or terrible...

Definitely some spots up in the air depending on how my recruits pan out...

QB - Big decision here. We have incumbent 75 Griffin, who will be a Jr. I also have 74 ovr Jones, who will also be a Jr. Jones has a cannon, but little accuracy. If he can train up his accuracy this offseason, he may get the nod. I also have :4stars:recruit Hodges. He is very slow, but has a B+ arm with B- accuracy. Though Griffin put up some big numbers, he also put up a bunch of ints, and Miss St coach isnt convinced he should come back as starter.

HB - This one will most likely go to this year's backup, and current starter filling in for Griffin, Parker. He will be a Jr and is 75 ovr and we are hoping he makes big strides in offseason. The next guy Parham is 74 ovr and will be a Sr.

WR - Top 2 guys will definitely be Manson and Montgomery, both will be JRs. Slot guy Johnson is graduating, and we have a couple mid 70s guys who will step up. This will be the strength of my team.

TE - Current starter Lee is returning and looks to continue as starter. Freshman Miller is 3 points behind him at 70, so unless he has a spectacular offseason, the position looks to stay the same.

OL - OT Berry is graduating, but other than that no replacements. Have a few young guys who should be able to fill in no problem.

DE - Stud Eulls will be gone. McNamara holds down one side, and he looks to be a mid 80s Jr. The other side will be between redshirt fresh White (who filled in all season for injured McNamara and had 8 sacks) or my :4stars:recruit. Though I think White has the definite edge as we let the recruit redshirt.

DT - All starters returning. We even have stud transfer from last season Higgins becoming available. Should be a solid position with good depth.

LB - A weakness in my D. Though, we are very excited to get to use 87 ovr super fast LB transfer Coker for a season. He should be a star and great stopgap as we try to groom some other guys into molding something that resembles a solid LB group. The other 2 spots are between Townsend (pass rush specialist but thats all), Potts, and current freshman Jones. They are all currently low 70s...

CB - Top 2 guys are returning. Nickel corner Wells is graduating. Another weak position that is about to get old very fast. We hoped to land some of the targets this season, but came up empty. Will be an area of recruit focus next year.

FS - Returning super speedy and coach favorite Lake (hopefully) for another season. This will allow us to redshirt promising :4stars: recruit Robinson.

SS - Impact player Love is graduating. We have high hopes for :4stars: recruit Hollins, as we are expecting him to step in and start. The current backup is a sophmore 73 ovr with 78 spd. That wont cut it.

K/P - Both returning but will be SRs. Recruited a K already, and am working on a P to redshirt and have ready to fill in for next season. This way, I dont have to waste recruiting them from my 22 spots that I will need next year...
