    Boston College Eagles 2015
Summary: The Eagles, after last years .500 season are still getting better on both sides the ball.
    Eagles Offensive Team
QB: Laurence Hawkins will be the starter. He showed promise late last season as an injury relief. Christian Suntrup will back up him on his last season as an Eagle. Freshman quarterback James White will take time to learn the offense as the future qb.
HB: LEWIS LEWIS LEWIS. Lee Lewis returns in the backfield after a good freshman season. Lee is looking to get atleast a 1000 yard and 10 touchdown performance this season. George Craan (SR) and Seth Gray (FR) hope to be the speed for the Eagles in the backfield.
WR: BC looks to gain ground with senior Brian Miller returning. Marvin Nichols made many plays last year when the Eagles need a big play. Look for him to do the same this season. Heavily recruited receiver Brandon Wall will be up high on the depth chart with is speed. Mays and Smith will receive playing time also.
TE: 3 talented tightends are what the Eagles have. Senior Micheal Giacone, junior's Bryon Gunn and Nate Love. Giacone will be mainly used this year to block for Lee Lewis and company. Gunn and Love are balanced so they both will see alot of playing time also.
T: Improvement. That is the main objective this season. Senior Dan Lembke will start on the left side for the 2nd year in a row. Behind him is Jim Cashman. At right tackle, Win Homer (JR) gets named the starter over sophomore Lorenzo Jackson.
G: Youth. At both guard positions they have a junior and freshman. At left guard, Frank Taylor will be starter over freshman Richard Wilson. Wilson was highly recruited. Right Guard we have junior Melvin Spence gets the nod over Bret Carlson.
C: Larry Wright will be starter and be the leader on the o-line.
    Eagles Defensive Team
DE: At left end is senior Kieran Borcich will be the leader on this edge. Blake Smiley will be the back up this season. Right end will consist of Connor Wujciak (starter and senior) and Thomas Williams (freshman).
DT: More youth. The interior of the defensive line is inexperienced. Sophomore Dante Clark and freshman Josh Wallace will be named starters for the season. Jim Ball and Brandon Carter will back up and be on rotation.
OLB: On the left side of this linebacker corpse is Bobby Wolford. His backups will consist of 2nd year freshman Steve Jones and Wade Jones (no relation). Right Side this season is Sophomore David Joseph. Micheal Strizak will not start after disappointing season. Andrew Harper will behind and learn from these talented young men.
MLB: Nick Lifka will be the caption and leader of the defense. Steven Daniels will be Lifka's back up.
CB: Senior's Ameer Richardson and Zach Wolfe will be the starters at corners, both with tons of experience. Sophomore Jeremy Moses will back them up.
FS: David Hobbs, sophomore, will be the starter with Rashaud Gill behind him.
SS: Junior Jesse Kelly will be the starter.
K/P: John Ryan will do double duty for the Eagles this season again.

Best NFL prospect: Nick Lifka, Kieran Borcich, and Brian Miller look like the best NFL prospects.

Newcomer of the year: Brandon Wall. With experience at a premium at wide out. Wall will gain much experience this season.

The season will be a success if...: THE OFFENSE MOVES THE BALL. Like every season the defense is what people talk about the Boston College Eagles. The coaching staff hopes this changes after making a change to the playbook that just wasn't doing the job anymore.

Schedule outlook: The Eagles look to have a mediocre schedule this season. The Eagles open the season home to Rutgers. Then travel to Illinois. Then host Duke for the opener for ACC play. The Tar Heels of North Carolina will host the Eagles and then the Eagles will host the Syracuse Orange. Week 7, Florida State, raining national champs. The first true test for the team. Then at Wake Forest and home against NC State. The Hokies and Tigers of Clemson play before another big test for the Eagles. Norte Dame Fighting Irish. After being embarrassed last season look to get back at them. The Eagles round out the season against the Terps of Maryland.

    2015 Gamecocks Football Preview

Summary: Last year the Gamecocks finished in the top-5 in the nation with a 10-3 record. The pollsters have been kind to the Gamecocks and they start out the year with a #7 ranking.

What to look out for on offense: Coach Chance has started implementing a new playbook to take advantage of the numbers at receiver and back. The shoot-bone offense is headed to Columbia! Players have been receptive to the changes and are quickly learning the new system.

What to look out for on defense: The defense took a step back last season and this year doesn't look to be much different. A lot of young talent will be tested in a tough schedule as the new defensive coordinator takes over and starts transitioning the defense.

    Best NFL prospect:

He's a force in the running game and will look to have another great year
anchoring the line before heading to the pros.

    Newcomer of the year:
He's potentially starting at defensive end and is a freak of an athlete.

The season will be a success if...: The defense can make more stops. The offense has taken some major steps forward in the off-season, but the defense is still porous.

    Prediction:

The Gamecocks start the season with games against #1, #20, and #24 in that order and trying to master a new playbook will not help any. If the boys in garnet and black can win two of these three games, it will be a big boost to the program, which has struggled against top-25 competition recently. Another double digit win season is not out of the question and the ultimate goal is to wrap up the east and get an SEC championship.

    2015 Illinois Fighting Illini Preview
    2014 Summary:
Illinois took a giant leap forward in 2014 by finishing the year 13-1. The only loss came in a 3OT game against Minnesota in the Big Ten Championship game. Illinois also had its first ever Heisman award winner in running back Donovonn Young. The senior was the heart and soul of the team, but he is gone to the NFL leaving behind only a legacy.
    Offense:
Illinois returns starting QB Ray Keith after a dynamic freshman season that was cut short by injury. The group of running backs will again be deep, with senior Josh Ferguson and RS sophomore Cory Wood getting the bulk of the carries. Perhaps the biggest surprise was the announcement that freshman Charles Thomas would not redshirt and would be active week 1. The bruising freshman will provide somewhat of a relief role by coming in and punishing defenses in the second half of games. The marginally talented receiving group will have to have a leader step up because last year's passing game was a direct reflection on their lack of production.
The offensive line experienced huge turnover and will be very inexperienced in 2015. The big question is whether or not this unit will be able to match the dominance of last year's O-line.
    Players to watch
QB Ray Keith---RB Cory Wood---TE Calvin Smith
    Defense:
The defense in general didn't experience much turnover. 8 of 11 starters return with a nice infusion of young talent to replace the seniors. The D-line will feature sack specialist Adam Grimes and run stopper Bryan Torres who are both All-American caliber players. The linebackers will be led by junior Gary Fletcher and true freshman Darrin Maxey. The secondary is a year older and, hopefully, a year wiser. The secondary was truly abysmal in both 2013 and 2014, but there are signs that everything is starting to turn around. Sophomore Joey Ball and juco transfer Josh Martin will be the starters at corner along with a slue of young talent behind them.
    Players to watch
DE Adam Grimes---LB Gary Fletcher---CB Joey Ball
    Special Teams:
The kicker will be RS senior Taylor Zalewski after a long wait behind Justin Duvernois who handled both kicking and punting duties. Freshman Leslie Mitchell will redshirt this season before taking over next year. True freshman Dominique Davis will handle the punting game this season. Josh Martin will handle all return duties this season. There is a lot of hype around him because the California native is easily the best athlete on the team and brings elite speed.
    Prediction:
Illinois has experienced massive turnover and it will likely show this season. This author expects a bit of a transition year for the Fighting Illini, but they are certainly good enough to win games. A 9-3 record while contending for the Leaders division title is probably where this team sits in 2015.

    Nebraska Team Preview 2015
    HuskerGenericN.jpg

Coach Shnoogans lead the 24th Ranked huskers to his first full season after taking over the coaching job midway last season. He will be implementing his 3-4 aggressive style defense and is looking to speed up things on offense as well. The Huskers finished the season with some momentum beating Kansas State in their bowl game.

Offensively the Huskers will be showing some new faces. The Left side of the Line will be more experienced and anchored by senior Center Ryne Reeves. However, the Left side of the line will be two new starters that may be a little sluggish to begin the season. QB Brandon Davis and HB Micah Carpenter bring a lot of speed in the backfield but are also lacking in some experience. The Receiving core will be led by All American Brandon Jones, but look for the Red Shirt Freshman Victor McCray to step up with some big plays.

Defensively, the Huskers will be trying to implement an aggressive 3-4 scheme to put pressure on the QB and force some turnovers. The Front 7 will be led by All American David Santos. There is a healthy mix of veterans and rookies up front which should be a good time to install the new style. The Cornerback position is the biggest question mark coming into the season. Nebraska lost some solid starters and are having to play some inexperienced CBs. The Safety position is a different story with Leroy Alexander at FS and the All American Brian Hawkins at SS. Hopefully they will provide enough support to help out the young CBs.

The Huskers, will start off pretty easy with Louisiana Monroe before being tested by Mississippi State and South Carolina. Look for the young guys to improve during those games. Big 10 Play starts with Michigan State, if Nebraska can get at least 1 win from the two SEC games, and a decisive victory of the Spartans, look for a big year in the Big 10 with the title in the Huskers sites. If the Huskers can't win the big games early though look for this young team to make lots of mistakes. The game of the season may come down to the Husker's trip to Minnesota in week 10. The Badgers gave Nebraska their best shot last season and will be looking to do the same this year. They have made some big strides and the winner of that game could very well be the Legends Division.

This years Mississippi State team, the current defending SEC Champions, enter the season with a large amount of uncertainty, as well as a great deal of promise. Following last years Sugar Bowl loss, the Bulldogs lost both their offensive and defensive coordinators ushering in new schemes, that will bring a new look to Coach Broth's team.
    Offense:
Last year the Bulldogs featured a spread look that involved a lot of running plays, and with the speed of true freshman All American QB Daniel Bowen, the offense thrived. This season Coach Broth hired he Offensive Coordinator at Louisiana Tech University to take over the play calling. This offense will involve a lot more passing then we Bulldog fans are used to, but the run will not be abandoned. The offense previously relied on talent at 2 positions, QB and RB. Now that the Bulldogs have had prolonged success they are able to have a more complicated offense that relies on production from multiple players. I expect this offense to lead the country in points as well as total yards all on the back of QB and Heisman hopeful Daniel Bowen.
    Defense:
The Bulldog defense has struggled during Coach Broth's tenure. After the pitiful Bulldog performances in the SEC title game and Sugar Bowl, the previous coordinator was let go. In comes a new look defense that will shake things up. The Bulldogs have switched to a multiple style which allows them to play the 3-4 like they used to, but also allows them to present looks to help them in defending the run where they have really struggled. Expect the Bulldog Defensive Line to be big this year. With 3 lineman rotating in weighing 312, 341, and 354, expect the middle of the formation to be clogged up. The Bulldog secondary looks to be better then ever as the first time since Coach Broth has taken over does he have an entire unti returning.
    Outlook:
This a Bulldog team with 19 redshirt seniors and 9 redshirt juniors. There is experience and talent all up and down this roster. Coach Broth is in his 4th season, the guys he recruited his first year are the leaders on this team, so we should start to see real improvement, and if last year was any indication, we will. I expect the Bulldogs to finish the season between 10 and 12 victories. The key of this season is that 3 of the Bulldogs 4 toughest games, those being: Nebraska, Illinois, LSU and Alabama; take place within the friendly confines of Starkville, MS.
    Key Players:
Daniel Bowen, Daniel Bowen, Daniel Bowen. Since entering campus as a 5 star recruit, Bowen has led this team. As an All American his freshman season and now starting off his sophmore year as a Heisman hopeful, the Bulldogs hope rise and fall with him. Fortunately he has an incredibly talented surrounding cast, with 3 redshirt senior runningbacks, as well as an experienced o line and recieveing corps, this is an offense that could put up a lot of points if Bowen is on his game.

After a disappointing year last season The Tigers return all but 3 starters from both sides of the ball LSU is looking for a big year, The Tigers also are switching to the Spread Offense and to a 3-4 defense.
    OFFENSE:
Kingsley Scott lost the starting job to fellow SOphomore Corey Arnold this spring and Coach Drunken is looking for this young man to step up and take the reigns and run with them, if not last years starter K Scott will get the call. With Terrence Magee and Brett Anderson in the backfield The Tigers are sitting with maybe the best HB Tandem in the Nation and running behind a super talented and young offensive line with 3 sophomores, 1 (RS) Freshmen and 1 Junior. The Wide Receiver COre is young and fast with 2 sophomores and a freshmen leading the way, the only thing is the lack of depth on the outside as LSU has only 5 receivers on the team, luckily we have a stable of young Tight ends that can spread out wide and fill the gaps when needed.
    DEFENSE:
LSU is switching to the 3-4 this year as last year The Tigers defense was shredded in some big games, the big glaring weakness on the Tiger defense is going to be defensive back as a the depth is just not there this year. Again the defense as a group is very young with 2 starters being freshmen and 4 starters being Sophomores so there might be a learning curve with all the young guys and switchin to a new defense but i hope the guys can adapt quick.
    KEY PLAYERS:
QB Corey Arnold takes over as starter and as all the attributes to succeed and is a big boy at 6'6" 248 pounds and has good mobility to go along with his size
HB Terrence Magee and HB Brett Anderson, these guys will split time and are both big play guys and both key hogs in the return game\
Senior RE Jeramiah Rasco will be the leader on defense and one of the only starting SR on the team
CB Brent Jackson leads the secondary in his 2nd year starting
    OUTLOOK:
WIth a very young team and high expectations from the fans an SEC Title is what we are moving towards, not sure if this is the year being loaded with young talent this team is only going to get better year by year but we better start delivering, NOW!

    2015 Virginia Tech Team Preview
After an 8-5 record and bowl win last season the Hokies look on improving on both side of the football.

OFFENSE: The Hokies will be switching to a Option style offense. Redshirt Freshman Allen Herring will be starting at quarterback and Sophomore Blake King will play on certain packages while true freshman Ryan Wiggins backup and learn this season. After rushing for over 2,000 yards last season Heisman candidate Michael Holmes is ready to show the country why he's the real deal. Kick Returner of the Year JC Coleman will return kicks and play on certain packages. The receiver core has a lot of size and could create a lot of miss-match with smaller cornerbacks. The main concern here is catching.

Offensive Key Players: Michael Holmes, JC Coleman, Allen Herring

DEFENSE: After being one of the worst defense in the country, the Hokies hope to improve and play better defense. The defense is switching from a 3-4 to a multiple defense to get the best out of their players. With 5 Seniors starting on defense the Hokies looks for experience and leadership from them. Anchoring the defensive line will be defensive linemens Tim Rooney and Jamar Brooks. At the linebacker position, the Van Dyke brothers, Devin and Ronny will be used to plug up the run or play the pass. In the secondary, Senior cornerback Donaldven Manning will line up with the opponent's best receiever. Look out for true Freshman John Holt. He is a big safety with big hits.

Defensive Key Players: Donaldven Manning, Tim Rooney, Ronny Van Dyke, and Devin Van Dyke

OUTLOOK: With a season under his belt, Coach Lee looks to improve on the 8-5 record from last season. Winning the ACC championship is the main goal for the Hokies this season. Although, they have a tough schedule this season but that doesn't stop them from anything. Coach Lee said "We'll play any team, any time, any where, just bring it!"

    2015 Florida State Seminoles Preview
    [IMG]
    Offense
Junior Jameis Winston returns with a National Championship under his belt while at the helm of the Noles but Senior Jacob Coker will be pushing him to continue to produce or he will sit on the bench.

Mario Pender will be the featured back this year with Steve Gardner, Matt Palmer and Collin Stratton spilling him.

The WR group lost most of the known names to everyone but Kelvin Benjamin returns this year as the number one taget and threat at 6'6" then Randy Holmes and Eddie Johnson will be in the two and three slots while Rob Poe and Marvin Bracy share the 4th and 5th depth chart. TE Christo Kourtzidis should replace Nick O'Leary well and this receiving corps should be solid.

The offensive line will be one of the youngest in the nation, Fr, RS Fr, RS So, RS Sr, RS Fr but grade out well overall: 80, 81, 82, 89, 86. The should take their bumps and bruises along the way but the should be able to produce another top 25 offense.
    Defense
Mario Edwards and Giorgio Newberry return after another year in the program. Edwards has provided more on the field and registered 6.5 sacks last year after having 9.0 the previous. Neal Harris is now in his junior year after coming in highly touted as a recruit in which he has provided 4.5 sacks with 14 tackles in his young career and should get some help along side fellow DT Carl Walker.

Ukeme Eligwe and Terrance Smith return from the clean up crew from a year ago and add in Reggie Northup. You might get to see Steve Williams on the field a little bit as a freshman he brings in an excellent first step, exploding to the hole forcing the back to pick a direction for the containment to swallow him up.

The secondary is led by Keelin Smith at cornerback who comes back after testing the NFL waters and will look to add to his 12 interception mark. The defense loses award winner Karlos Williams at SS but the debut of Kelvin Hicks last year at FS will make up for his loss. PJ Williams will hold down the SS spot along with getting a contribution from Nick Morris.
    Newcomer of the Year
    [IMG]
Steve Williams might be the player that will see the most game time.
    [IMG][IMG]
DJ and Aaron will battle it out in future years for the right at QB.
Colin's explosiveness and speed will be hard to keep the freshman off the field in certain formations.

    Outlook
Florida State sat out and conquered what they wanted to do last year, so this team has a large target on it their back to be stopped from repeating. It is a very talented team but young in certain positions so a let down might be evident but Coach Knight will have this team prepared to play each and every week. They will be prepared to take everyone's best shot and at the end of the day they will look for the dust to settle and see where they are. Another birth in the ACC Championship is always the first goal, where can this team go after that?
