    2015 Tiger Tales-Wk5

If you are looking for a team that keeps you on the edge of your seat look no further than the 2015 LSU Tigers. A blown 21 pt lead and 3OTs? What more could you ask for in a game?

LSU's youth once again shows it colors at the beginning of this game. The young offense does not look like they click together until halfway through the 2nd Qtr. A couple of 3 and outs in the first and a fumble to give Miss St the first score of the game had the Tigers goin down the wrong road once again. After the Miss St TD and another LSU 3 and out Miss St threw a 52yd TD as time expired in the 1st Qtr.

Things didn't start out much better in the 2nd for LSU's SO QB. After moving the ball and picking up a couple 1st downs the young QB put the ball on the ground again and was recovered by Miss St and rand back 51 yds for a TD and a 21-0 Miss St lead. Once LSU got the ball back you could tell a little pep in their step was gone. They were able to march down the field to finally get on the board. Miss St was able to hook up another long pass(40yds) for a TD just a few plays later to go back up by 21. LSU got into their 2 min offense and was able to score with just 3 seconds left in the half.

The defenses picked it up in the 2nd half of this ball game. LSU score the only points in the 3rd.

The only pts in the 4th qtr were also score by LSU. The defenses dug in and wouldn't allow any scoring until 26 seconds were left in the game. Miss St wasn't able to do much with the little time they had which sent this game to OT.

After the lackluster offensive performance of the 2nd half both teams were able to score TDs on both of their 1st 2 drives of OT. On Miss St's 3rd drive the LSU defense was able to hold them to a FG. LSU was unsuccessful on their 1st 2 plays of their drive losing a yard to make it 3rd and 11. LSU's next play sent the place crashing down. After being forced from the pocket and nearly being sacked, LSU's QB scrambled to the right and found a WR crossing the back of the endzone. As the pass zipped over two Miss St's DBs heads the collective hearts stopping of all those in attendance felt like a vacuum. As the pass was caught for the TD and the LSU win, the wind of the fans was collectively let out the the Tiger celebration began.

    Final:
    LSU 48
    Miss St 45
