This game was a lot closer than the score. I needed a late TD from Preston Weldon, the second for him on the day, to seal it. Marcus Young topped the century mark again, going for 130 yds on 20 carries and 2 TD's of his own. Next stop, Big 12 Championship.

It was a great game with the Nittany Lions traveling to Oklahoma. This was a close game most of the way with both offenses making big plays. This game came down to the fourth quarter. Oklahoma was up 7 and Penn State was in the redzone when this happened:

A few moments later Oklahoma sealed the win with this play by Chaz Benjamin:

Yeah Texas Tech played some very tough defense but some redzone turnovers on on offense cost the Red Raiders. Austin and Ellis both had mediocre days for Miami thanks to the Tech defense. There was not big running lanes so Ellis had to work for every yard. He did score 2 touchdowns but finished with an abysmal yard per carry. Over on defensive side, Johnson had 2 interceptions, and Hollis and Ingraham grabbed one each. The defense also had 4 or 5 sacks in the game and had a few more knockdowns.

Highlights (sorry Harris, only plays I could find were the interceptions)

Redzone interception #1, by Ingraham: http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/21655213

Redzone interception #2, by Hollis: http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/21655247

Johnson's first pick of the game: http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/21655269

Johnson's 4th quarter INT to seal the game: http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/21655259

Them picks were bad, especially the last one. I hit the wrong button, but that's nothing new.

How about that pass to the 1 yard line as the half ended? I forgot all about highlights. I would have got the one of my O-lineman picking up the fumble and running.

Yeah that sequence at end of half was crazy. You had a WR drop it near end zone and on next play you catch it but get tackled at the 1.

GG Ceewo, losing the turnover battle (-4) always sux. I don't know if I should be mad at my QB or the man behind the sticks. Your deep ball was killing me too, especially the one right before half. GL to ya the rest of the way. Hoping to get a rematch in '11.

I really hope LSU or Notre Dame loses. If I can avenge my early season loss to FSU and 1 of those 2 lose it would be a cake walk National Title game against CPU :).

I was thinking the same thing until I traveled to Oklahoma. I guess I was looking ahead. Either way I am still rooting for it. You always hate to see a cpu vs cpu playing for the NC.

What started as a game that looked like it could come down to the end, ended up to be a blowout win for the hokies. After ending the first half down 14-17 the Hokies allowed no more points for the Wolverines. The hokies D became too much and the offense came alive as the hokies reeled off 28 unanswered and 21 in a 2 minute span. No more svoring was needed and Va Tech mercifully ran out the clock. GG suge...

Now VaTech must watch from home as this mockery of a acc champ game is played wishing theyd had their shot at a second national title apperence in 3 years and a 3rd straight ACC title.

Coach DJ's comments: "What can I say we should be undefeated right now looking at a NC apperence and a 3rd straight ACC title right now but due to a bs ot loss (on sim after being played) and my absence we are not."

I'll probably lose on the sim again, leaving all the pressure on me to get a bowl. Wonderful.

The Ducks win the final Civil War match thanks to two backup running backs. After Townes went out early, Eric Berry came in to run for 71 yards and a score. And after Berry got hurt, freshman Rod Martin scored two TD's while also rushing for 70+ yards. Scott returned a kick for 6 to win the game for Oregon.

I think I will go ahead and advance. Recchem is pretty busy And this is a pointless game anyways with the Pac-10 title already locked up. Me and Reech will have plenty of matchups in NCAA 11 to look forward too.

Good call on advancing. Once 11 drops, things should be settled down here at the home front.
