Why do I always struggle against the Cougs? 21-21 game at half. Went on to shut them down in the 2nd half. Cannon had a 4 TD game but did throw 2 picks, one went the other way for 6. The team was still possibly reeling from the defeat at ASU the week before. Hopefully, we can hit our full stride here shortly and make a run at the Pac-10 title!

The Cornhuskers were at the game on time. Unfortunately for Okie State, they were still in the locker room. This one was over early as the Nebraska starters all sat the entire second half. Brian Avery had 109 yds on 11 carries and a TD, while Senior QB Drew Peterson was 10-11 passing for 188 yds and 2 TD's, as well as another TD on the ground. Nebraska had 4 TD's rushing and held the ball for 22 mins.

    Red Raiders survive a shaky start, and beat their arch rival Texas A&M, 28 - 14. Reggie Smith was 22 of 29, 324 yards 3 TD's and 3 int's.

Not much to say about this one from my end. The Ducks played a strong first quarter, but could never figure out the passing attack from the Hokies. On offense, Oregon WR's had several drive killing drops that did not help anything.

Florida State wins the battle for the Jefferson-Epps trophy in dramatic fashion. The Seminoles were able to move the ball down to the Virginia 5, with 4 seconds left to play in the game. Junior kicker Erik Long blasted a ball straight through the uprights for the win. "I had to make up for the pull-hook wounded duck I kicked in the 2nd quarter. I felt good over this kick, it wasn't much more than an extra point." - Long said. Once again, the player of the game was Heisman Candidate, Sr HB Kevin Vaughn, who carried 24 times for 110 yards and 1 TD. FSU was down 21-14 to start the 4th quarter, but both sides of the ball for FSU played well in the final frame.
