    RS Freshman Ready to Step up in Madison
    Five Red-shirt Freshman are ready to step in and make immediate impacts to the Badgers​
    QB Corey Mann; Corey's playing time will depend mostly on Jr. QB Bart Houston, If Bart stays for his senior season then Corey will have to wait one more year.​

    RB Micah Smith; With a good off-season the starting job could belong to Micah on opening kick-off. Smith is expected to bring back memories of Ron Dayne to the Bucky faithful​

    RB Matt Ellis; A complementary back to Smith, should be the Lightning to Smith's Thunder​

    WR Adam Barrett; Will be the number one deep threat and could turn into Houston's (or Mann's) favorite target. A big receiver who is explosive with solid hands will turn some heads next season.​

    OLB Derek Carter; Although a bit small for his position Carter is a standout his ability to read a play, shed a block and make a tackle will be perfect along two LB of the year award finalists in Sophmores George Moore and Ryan Coleman.​
