    #11Texas A&M 37 @ Baylor 20

The Bears fought valiantly to get back into the winners circle in The Battle of the Brazos, even taking the lead in the 2nd half. But the Aggies are used to 2nd half comebacks this season, and once again put the petal to the metal after trailing by a 20-16 margin to finish with a 21-0 barrage. The offense never seems to stop using multiple formations and play varieties, even as they become desperate late in ballgames. In fact, they never really ever become desperate. The senior leadership has brought this team to the top of the Big 12 with an 8-1 (5-0) record to this point. RB Matt Fry took over the ballgame with 139 yards rushing and 53 receiving, including a td in each phase, and the Aggie defense did the rest, holding the Waco natives to only 6 first downs in the game.

Now a challenging stretch to finish the season:

Oklahoma - The Sooners have owned the Aggies the past 4 seasons, and have an aggressive offense. However UCLA nipped them and in conference KSU came within a FG and Texas ran them over. A&M could put themselves in prime position for a top #10 showdown with UT if they beat OU at home.

Texas Tech - How bout the Raiders? They are sitting at a lowly 2-6 and haven't been productive this season when the chips have been down. However we all know that this game will not necessarily be a cake walk. 2 years ago Tech shredded a slow A&M D, and last year the Aggies pulled the game out in the final seconds. Not to mention with the Tech hire of Coach Jayrah's brother this season, it's going to be a bragging rights game for the TTU. The records don't say it, but this could and should be a classic.

Texas - The Longhorns struggled early, losing back to back games. But they were both OOC, unfortunately for the Big 12 pack, and since then the offense has been incredible. 3 games still before they clash with A&M, but they are looking strong at the right time. A&M will need to control the clock, and the ball, which is something that generally hasn't been a strong suit against the Horns.

With the polar opposite of the Cats season, UCLA forces 6 Washington turnovers in route to a 57-10 victory at the Rose Bowl. Once again, the starters played one series on offense in the 2nd half and were pulled, keeping them healthy for the showdown next with Oregon!

I game that should have been a blowout ended up being a game due to bad qb play but great defensive plays once again saves Iowa's Qb as Iowa wins 30 - 20 to start another win streak.

    OSU 45
    Cal 30

Oregon State's offense was firing on all cylinders as the the Beavers simply walked over an overmatch Golden Bears' team. Eric Stephens threw 4 TD passes and the Davis boys rushed for 70 yards a piece as the OSU's offense was simply unstoppable. The big play of the game was a pick 6 by MLB Ryan Fontenot that broke the game wide open. At the time the score was 21-10 OSU, and Cal had just recovered a fumble, but Fontenot leaped up to intercept a pass and took it back 68 yards for a touchdown and the route was on.

This game went eerily just like the one against Iowa. Ward started off the scoring with a nice catch in the back corner of the endzone. Then Holman (139 yards 1 TD) and Brown (107 yards 3 TDs) picked up where they left off last game, both getting 100 yard games. Herron went 14-16 with only one bad pass being an INT. Illinois QB Battle could not hit his receivers, missing his guys badly. Wisconsin is in prime contention to still make a BCS game even with 2 losses.

    #9 Wisconsin 42 - #15 Illinois 14

OSU grinds out another blowout win even with both starting QB and RB hurt early in the first quarter. Backup QB Joe Bryant had a great game, filling in for starting QB TJ Kirk who was hurt for the game with a shoulder injury, Bryant threw for 272 yards and 3 touchdowns and led OSU to a big win over #24 ranked Penn State. Next week OSU has a bye before heading on the road to take on Northwestern.
