Well the season opened up for your #1 Alabama Crimson Tide with the #8 USC Trojans coming to T-Town. This was a rematch of two power house teams that just competed in the Rose Bowl where the Tide got the best of the Trojans and came away with the win. USC came to make some noise in the BCS Championship this year and knock off the Tide from their #1 ranking like they did at the start of last season. The start of the game had both teams offense sputtering and forced to punt the ball, but the Bama defense stepped up big all game and held the Trojans in check to allow the Tide to jump out to a 35-7 lead at half time and held the Trojans to another 7 pts in the 3rd Quarter. With the score being 35-14 going into the 4th quarter the Tide would score again making it 42-14. Alabama started to run the ball on a consistent basis to run the clock out and not run the score up against the USC Trojans. Coach Magoo has a lot of respect for Coach Young and gives him props for punting the ball on a late pitch on an option and where the qb was clearly going down and tackled and the ball was pitched and ended up converting it into a first down. With Bama running the ball almost entirely the Trojans defense stopped the Tide on a regular basis forcing many punts. The Trojans went pass crazy while the Tide was in a conservative mode making USC drive down the field eating up clock and not allowing anything over their heads. USC came back slowly and got the game to 42-35 but the Tide just ate up to much clock and the game ended with the Tide coming away with the win. Now the Tide looks to take on now #8 Clemson Tigers at Clemson.
