That team is actually decent offensively. It's funny because Juggs was so down on the team but in reality he had the players just not the matured players he needed. I mean Smith was always gonna be a beast eventually... lol

IIRC I recruited Smith for him... (y)

LOL.... Juggs may need a lesson on revitalizing an offensive scheme, don't be surprised if we get a player or two on the Heisman watch but maybe not because we will spread the ball around. That AA list will be full of Canes though

Unless they've grown substantionally...expect alot of disappointments in user games Noles. My guys always put up great stats vs the cpu. And then in user games...ugh. Just ask guys like JMS, Merih, and Mo. We're talking stat lines like 10-12 sacks allowed. Or 8-10 drops by our receivers. Or a plethora of missed tackles/interceptions. Or just shitty play all around.

    Team 1st 2nd 3rd 4th F
    MIA 7 14 10 10 41
    FSU 14 3 7 7 31

For the first part of the 1st quarter was a feeling out process of each team, but as they settled down 21 points would be scored. FSU had the first strike a 10 yard pass from Gorman to Huff with 3:41 left. Miami would march back down the field and score with 2:15 as Lee hit Williams for a 23 yard TD pass. The Noles would use the rest of the quarter to setup a score with 0:27 left, a 6 yard TD pass to Newton from Gorman.

It didn't take long for Miami to answer as Richard Smith took a screen pass 43 yards for the tying score at 14. FSU scored again with 1:27 left but only a FG to take the lead 17-14. Miami would use a quick drive and get in the zone with 0:04 left to take a 21-17 lead into half.

The Seminoles wouldn't take much time (6:38) and took the lead on a 17 yard scamper by Flowers, 24-21. Miami would take advantage of the aggressive dline the Noles were playing and Smith would take another screen 52 yards for the score (5:28), 28-24 Canes. Miami then would get a FG to finish out the 3rd quarter scoring (2:54), 31-24 U.

The fourth had more Miami as they scored at 7:26 on a Smith TD run, 38-24. The Canes would add a FG at 3:36 to take a 41-24 lead. FSU would fight back and score, Gorman to Huff a 14 yard TD pass (2:12), and would then proceed to recover the onside kick but would turn the ball over on downs.

Miami's rushing attack came to play today as Smith ran for 127 yards and Martindales for 107. The Canes got out to an early 14-0 lead but the Jackets wouldn't lay down. GT would come back and score 17 points in the second quarter to go down at half 21-17, but had a chance to tie after a turnover gave them great field position but were stopped for 3 points.

The Yellow Jackets came out and took the lead on a 12 yard TD pass from Washington to Stephens but Richard Smith and the Canes responded with a TD themselves, 28-24 U. GT would finish the 3rd quarter on top 31-28 on a TD pass.

Miami took 0:07 off the clock to begin the fourth with a 48 yard TD pass from Lee to Green, taking back the lead 35-31. The ensuing kickoff GT fumbled the ball and MLB Brian Anderson returned it for the score, 42-31. The Jackets had to come back and get a score and they wound up getting 3 points to cut the lead to 42-34. Miami behind Martindale this time took the ball 23 yard for a score pushing the lead back to 49-34. GT would score with 0:24 left and recover the onsides kick but time wasn't on their side, 49-41.

Miami's rushing attack came to play again today as Smith ran for 111 yards and Martindales for 64. Va Tech elected to kickoff and Miami took it roughly 12 plays for the games first score. The Hokies would answer right back on the ensuing kickoff taking it 100 to tie the game. Hurricanes winds were almost taken out of the atmosphere but Lee led the Canes back down the field and hit Williams on a 26 yard TD pass. VT would get a FG and the score would go into the second 14-10 U.

Miami would score the only points in the second quarter and played stifling defense to take a 24-10 lead into half.

Virginia Tech would open up the 3rd with a FG cutting into the lead but Miami would answer at the end of the quarter to take the 14 point lead into the 4th.

The Hokies would score early in the 4th to cut the lead down to 7 and have 7:22 left to eventually tie it. They would have their chances but Miami D proved to be too strong and able to get 3 points to push the lead to 10 with 1:50 remaining, and seal the deal 30-20.

A game where neither team wanted to show much (I didn't lol) because of the ACC championship game contest. Miami just came out running the ball in full force while UNC looked to do the same as both teams had 48 and 38 rushes.

Miami built a 21-10 halftime lead with 3 rushing TDs to UNC 1 and a FG. Richard Smith left the game early but only for one quarter and Robert Martindale picked up the ground game well. Miami would punch it only once in the second half while UNC made a comeback scoring 17 points and forcing OT. UNC made a bad read on the 2nd or 3rd play and was picked and almost housed. The first play Miami kicks the GW FG.
