    2017 Missouri Tigers

The Missouri Tigers had their best season yet under coach Mizzourah in 2016. They finally got over the hump and won a big 12 Championship and took an undefeated 13-0 season into the Orange Bowl to take on national power Alabama in a rematch of a game that Missouri won in September in Columbia. Unfortunately the talent discrepancy was to much the second time around as the Tigers fell in their first ever BCS National Championship to the Alabama Crimson Tide 38-25. While the Tigers lost a significant amount of players in the secondary and their big play receiver 6'7'' Bryant McCollum they look to rebound with star QB Anthony Hargrove and first team all-american Brad Ford returning to lead the offense.

The Tigers return the majority of their potent offense from last year. However a void was left in the receiving corps as Senior burner Lance Newsome left and in a surprising move sophomore wideout Bryant McCollum decided to leave very prematurely for the NFL. However if there was one thing the Tigers did have it was depth at the receiver position, so while there may be a little bit of a fall off at the position, we shouldn't expect much with pin point QB Anthony Hargrove at the helm. Another key loss was the big Left Tackle Tom Chandler. His power really helped freshman HB Brad Ford find the spotlight as he lead the nation in rushing yards as a freshman. Look for the Tigers to rely on Ford and blue chip recruit Alex Raymond to lead this balanced attack and for a receiver to emerge as the go to man this year.

The 2016 Missouri Tigers were lead by their stellar secondary. 3 of the 4 players in last years secondary were first team All-Americans. Unfortunately Stud FS Brett Murphy and standout corner Damien Peterson left tp pursue an NFL career. While the secondary will need to prove itself this year the defensive line and the linebackers should be a strong suit of this years team. The defense has a lot to prove this year.
