Starting in the 2017 season, I am putting an official moratorium on using the right-most defensive tackle in a 4 down lineman set on defense. After years of evidence, there is clearly an issue with the right guard in terms of blocking. It does not appear that this issue extends to the left side of the line, and does not appear to be as extreme in 3 down lineman sets - hence the specifics of this limitation.

So again - when in a 4+ down lineman set (4-3, 4-2-5, Nickel, Dime, etc.), please refrain from using the right-most defensive tackle. Please respond with "read and understood".

    Thanks!

Side note: this has been an unofficial thing for the while - but I figure this is as good of a time as any to make it official.

Sounds good I almost never play DT anyway. Just wondering though... Is there some kind of proof for this?

Common experience throughout this dynasty and other dynasties we have played in. It seems as if the right guard just gets owned by the user controlling DT. Initially we saw it in Night Owls, as recchem's SJSU's right guard got continually owned by any of us who played that DT. We just thought recchem's right guard sucked, but then we started noticing it in our other dynasties, that the right guard continually ole'd the DT. Every one's DT had a large number of sucks, that didn't seem realistic.

The reason Michigan State has a DT in the hall of fame in this league is because that user took advantage of this. It's something regarding the new blocking logic. Specifically, I couldn't tell you what the problem is - but the RG is almost always destroyed. Most top RG's play about as well as Jimmy from south park.

What ever CPU controlled player I have at DT #1 gets way more sacs than any other player. He is not really more talented than other D-linemen but he has twice the sac totals. His back gets plenty of sacks too in limited playing time.

you're absolutely right. But CPU controlled linemen get more sacks than user controlled linemen. Hence why using DT #1 in a 4 down lineman set is unfair.

you wouldnt be the first. Worthy from MSU got in on a very similar premise when Corey Volting was controlling them - and he got in unanimously
