    Gameplay Rules – Defense

4-2-5/3-3-5 defenses – These defenses are allowed for use as a base defensive set.

wow, I was out of it last night. I was under the impression that they weren't available for use as a base set.

I am running what I ran last year, if I need to post all the formations I can. In addition I will be running the no huddle offense.

You're probably right...just going off past experience with those defenses. By past experiences I mean past versions of the game.

4-2-5 fits my team well this year, but if it's not allowed I'll go to a 4-3

more so. the only difference is that the 4-3 allows the right DT to get through pretty easy - the 4-2-5 and 3-3-5 get everyone through

did you intend to leave the 4-2-5/3-3-5 open, or has that been barred and you just made a typo?

We never outlawed them for use as a base playbook. People were allowed to include them in a custom defensive playbook if they wanted as well. I personally didn't see either as being an issue this year, if anything, I found that they were easier to run up the middle against (which they should be).

I am fairly certain you can get sacks at will with the 4-2-5. Unless the qb instantly makes the correct read he will be sacked by a 6 man rush (DL and LB, although DL +SS is also dangerous). Its like the nickle 6 man rush but harder to read pre snap, and with better coverage for the 1.5 seconds your qb has to make a throw. I have been so frustrated by it, I keep it in my pb just to use against those that use it against me. If I wanted to win at all cost, I would build my team for the 4-2-5 and use the formation whenever my opponent used 3 or more WRs.

Offense - Oklahoma State...may run some hurry up here and there just to keep defenses on their toes so users don't be shocked. Of course I will give the defense ample time to set before hiking the ball unlike the damn CPU.
    Defense - 4/3

Offense: Custom: Syracuse Playbook + the following formations: Close Twins & Shotgun Normal HB Wk
    Defense: 4-3

First attempt at a Custom Playbook, if I'm having trouble with it, I will revert to the Syracuse playbook

I think he's saying he is using Syracuse's PB and added those 2 formations. Go back to bed old man!

You should see me in the no huddle. I get a big play, and the defense is already set, while I wait for my whole freaking team to line up. When I am on defense, the CPU team is already to go while, I have one or two stragglers. Ugh
