With 3/4 of the 2017 in the books and many teams planning ahead for the offseason and draft lets take a quick look at some of the names that could be available on the Free Agent market:

    Chicago Bears
    • LT J Bushrod - At 33 years old he is still playing at a high level. If Chicago lets him hit the market his agent should receive multiple calls.
    • FS Q Demps - Would be brought back for depth with the Darrell Stuckey the starter.
    • QB Ben Roethlisberger - Big Ben can still sling it but has lost some in the accuracy department. If he doesnt hang it up a team could give a spot on its roster.
    • SS Trenton Robinson - Nothing more than a backup may get a look on someone else's roster.
    Cincinnati Bengals
    • FS Reggie Nelson - The veteran still has the skills to make plays.
    • C Russell Bodine - Strong young player in the middle of the line for Cincy. Could be popular target for many teams.
    • CB D Kirkpatrick - Big corner with excellent cover skills.
    Buffalo Bills
    • HB Adrian Peterson - With rookie Timario Brackett solidified as the leader, will AD be back in Buffalo.
    • LE Mario Williams - Still solid as he wraps up his 12th year. Will the former #1 pick be back in Buffalo or will he lace up his cleats elsewhere in 2018?
    • OLB B Spikes - Never been a speed demon but just seems to make plays.
    Denver Broncos
    • RG M Ramirez - Getting the job done for the Broncos, ramirez has to be in the teams plans going forward, right?
    • MLB L Barrow - The athletic depth player could concede his spot on the depth chart to rookie Lee Sharp.
    Cleveland Browns
    • SS D Whitner - Big hitter has to hit the wall at some point, could this be the season.
    • MLB K Dansby - Vet still has some skills but will he expect to be payed based on past performance.
    • MLB C Kirksey - Could he be brought back to compete for the spot vacated by Dansby.
    • TE N Kasa - The team's current starter could be moved to reserve position if bought back in '18.
    Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    • FS D Goldson - After ten season in the league could Goldson be looking to play for his third team in 2018?
    • SS T DeCoud - A reserve in 2017, what does 2018 hold for DeCoud.
    • C E Dietrich-Smith - Solid vet but will the front office want to make changes.
    • DT E Mitchell - A change of scenery could in the cards for Mitchell as the has a couple other stronger options at DT.
    Arizona Cardinals
    • LT A Whitworth - has been playing the season at center so his flexibility could mean he returns to the Cards.
    • CB A Cromartie - The Cards Nickel corner has lost a step.
    • CB B Blue - The youngster has gone from undrafted free agent to solid NFL starter.
    San Diego Chargers
    • FS D McCray - Backup to Weddle, will the team go younger for 2018?
    Kansas City Chiefs
    • HB Jamal Charles - When will he hit the RB wall? Even a decrease wont stop the Chiefs or another team from inking him to a contract to play a substantial role in '18.
    • MLB D Johnson - What more could you ask for than this solid playmaking vet?
    • MLB C Robertson - Great option to step in as the defensive onfield playcaller should Johnson prove to expensive to bring back.
    Indianapolis Colts
    • SS B Pollard - Backing up Earl Wolff so no likely to return unless its for a big pay reduction.
    • DT V Wilfork - Big Vince still has some skills, but is he in the Colts plans moving forward?
    • LG J LeRibeus - Currently the starter but the team would be better served to find a replacement.
    Dallas Cowboys
    • LB D Freeney - Father time has
    • CB Orlando Scandrick - Can still get it done nine years into his career but has been relegated to nickel back status with the arrival of Alvaro Okuyemi
    Miami Dolphins
    • OLB D Ellerbe -
    • MLB K Misi -
    • DT J Odrick -
    • DE Olivier Vernon - Solid edge rusher for the Phins
    Philadelphia Eagles
    • MLB AJ Hawk
    Atlanta Falcons
    • J Arenas
    • DT L Guion

Man doesn't look like a whole lot of big time FA hitting this year. Be interesting to see what the Lions do with all those guys though.

LB Brandon Spikes only has like 15 tackles for me this season. He actually lost his starting spot a couple weeks back only to regain it when Kiko Alonso got injured. Not sure if he will be in Buffalo in 2019.

got a feeling Mallet will make some team very happy this offseason though

I probably will. He's asking for around 6-7 mill a year if I remember correctly. His confidence right now is still in the 40s.

Nice forecast, hopefully some other depth guys fall through negotiations and hit the market. AJ Hawk has played very well in spell of my lbs. I'd bring him back on a year deal.

I'm assuming some guys will hit FA and there will be some cap casualties along the way to bolster the class because there are not many, if any, quality FA currently.

Citing a youth movement and in productivity the Jets will be moving on from the $30 million dollar corners.
Fun fact: Before benching Munnerlyn and Carr after 8 games the New York Jets had 8 interceptions. Since starting the youth movement the Jets have tallied 22 over the next 5.
