    Week 1 -- Colts @ Titans

Andrew Luck had his way with the Titans defense that couldn't find any coverages to slow the passing game. Mariotta tried to keep the game tight, but got a bit overconfident leading to two INTs and missed opportunities. GG @bdhitmanwhatevr.

Lions take home the victory in season opener

The lions showed us all that there still a playoff contender team. We all had there doubts since the release of Matthew Stafford but with there new rookie proved to us that he will fit in just fine. He there for over 300 yards and had a huge td throw to the future legend Calvin Johnson in a 30 - 8 victory

    Carolina Week 1:

After naming Cameron Artis-Payne the starting HB coming into their week 1 game against the division rival Saints, Copeland and his Panthers were eager to start the year off with a win. With great play from Cam Newton all game (besides a couple random huge missthrows for int's bc CPU God mode) they were able to do just that. After taking a 17-3 lead in the 3rd quarter, the young Cory James led Saints came marching back to tie it up in the 4th with 17 unanswered points. Two good drives and two Panthers 4th quarter fg's were the difference in the game as Carolina's defense dug in and stopped New Orleans late game winning drive as a 4th down sack sealed it.

The star of the game was the Panthers offensive line - giving up no sacks.
Kelvin Benjamin also had 9 catches for 179 yards and a touchdown.

Carolina will host the Cowboys in week two. Dallas is coming off a week 1 52-35 win over the Redskins in Washington as they forced an eye opening 6 turnovers.

    AFC Championship Rematch Week 1

Raiders come to the 'Burgh this time to try and seek revenge against the Super Bowl champs. The Steelers defense looked like a different unit this game, giving up 0 points and forcing 4 interceptions. The same unit as last year, they have the looks of a defense that is starting to gel. One new starter is rookie MLB Thomas who had a few TFL in the game. He looks to fit in nicely alongside Shazier. The SB Champs understand how important defense is and they will not always win just by outscoring their opponent. They need to get stops and force turnovers this year to have a chance to repeat. GG Raidernation good luck the rest of the way.

Jets lose to CPU Vikings 23-13

Vikings force 4 turnovers (3 int) 2 by Harrison Smith. The CPU took the lead early in the game and never looked back. The Jets were down 20-13 late in the fourth but Minn was able to get into fg range and seal the victory. Good news for the Jets is L Williams had 3 tfl stepping in nicely for Richardson who was traded away in the offseason Bad news is the Jets have 12 rookies on the roster so expect a lot of growing pains. The Jets had a nice mix of run nd pass plays in the first half but being behind and turnovers forced them to throw the ball a lot more in the 2nd half which is something they don't want.
PoG Minn TE Mycole Pruitt 9 rec 179yds 1 TD

Bengals get the comeback victory on the road
The Bengals would come into Tampa Bay with a Rookie QB and without the former star of the team A.J Green. Rookie QB Dexter Blake had a huge expectations being the number 2 over all pick in the draft but would struggle early throwing 2 picks in the first half. The Bengals lack of offense would be helped by the pick 6 by Morris Claiborne. The Buccaneers seemed to have this game won, being up by 8 with 5 minutes remaining the Bucs were in field goal range on 3rd down. Instead of running to set up the field goal they would get greedy and try to pass on 3 and 10. The Bucs would get sacked on the play for a loss of 9 yards and push them to a long field goal. Without the cheesy kick arc the Bucs would miss the field goal and give the Bengals a chance to tie up the game. The drive would go well for Blake and the Bengals as they would move down the field and score with a 14 TD reception by TE Trey Taylor. The Bengals would get the 2 pt conversion they needed on a pass to the flats to Jeremy Hill. The Bucs would get the ball back with about 2 minutes remaining take yet another sack on 2nd down forcing a long 3rd and 17. The Bucs would fail to pickup the first down giving the Bengals the ball around the 50 yard line with 58 seconds remaining. The Bengals would run the clock down to two seconds and take the Field goal with time expiring for a 27 - 24 victory on the road.

Player of the game would be Cairo Santos 4-4 FG lg of 51 yards

The Cardinals were able to win an ugly game against the division rival Diablos 27-20. Do not let the score or yardage fool you, this was an ugly game. The Diablos would strike first towards the end of the first quarter, after a Mettenberger pick gave them a short field, they would take a 7-0 lead. The Cardinals were a nightmare on offense until finally getting on the board with a minute left in the half cutting the defecit to 10-7.

The third quarter continued a defensive dominated game and would see the score come out tied at 13. The fourth had almost as many points as the rest of the game combined. In the end the Cards came out on top after the Diablos turned the ball over on two short fields really shooting themselves in the foot.

    Carolina Week 2:

After crawling out of week 1 with a victory away from home, the 1-0 Panthers made their home debut of the 2018 season against the 1-0 Cowboys. Carolina came out guns blazing driving down the field on their first possession as Cam Newton was on fire. They finished that drive with a 1 yard touchdown run on the goal line from recently acquired Ryan Matthews, who will see most of the goal line work this season. Just a few plays later the Panthers and also recently acquired Chris Cook forced an early interception of QB Brock Osweiler.. They quickly turned the lead to 14 with another great drive by Cam who ended up punching it in himself with his legs. You could see Dallas needed something, anything to get back into this game. They did just that with 14 unanswered points sparked by one of the more pretty looking interceptions I've seen in a long time by FS Wilcox of the Cowboys who saw that Panthers receiver Devin Funchess was wide open down the sideline for what looked to be another big play for Carolina so he bolted as fast as he could and made up a shocking amount of distance as he dived for the ball and came down with it.. the momentum had shifted. With 6 seconds left in the first half, after a catch by Kelvin Benjamin on the goal line and a spike to stop the clock, head coach Rivera made the tough call to try and go for a touchdown. This ended up being the wrong decision this time as star DE Greg Hardy came up with a sack to end the half at a tie 14-14. Fast forward to the first play of the 4th quarter, with Carolina leading 17-14 but Dallas on the goal line trying to take the lead. The best LB in the game Luke Kuechly had a chance to tip the momentum overboard as Brock Osweiler made a bad read that someone ended well as he connected with a slant for the go ahead TD as Luke was in perfect position he just didn't finish the play. Copeland was very upset after the game about that play stating "we just can't ever give up on plays out there.. especially from guys like Luke who I expect to be a leader.. that play made me sick." After a Panthers field goal and a defensive stop, with 3 minutes left in the game Cameron Artis-Payne decided to turn on the mother lovin' on switch. After just a decent performance last week and Ryan Matthews on his tail on the depth chart, he put in one of the more solid performances of any player in the league so far this season. Trailing 21-20 he took the hand off from the good side of the 50 on a shotgun counter play.. He proceeded by putting Cowboys corner Scandrick on his ass with a ginormous truck and then having the strength to break not 1.. not 2.. but 3 defenders as he raced to the endzone for a highlight reel 46 yard touchdown run people will be talking about all season. With the lead at 26-21 after an unsuccessful 2 point conversion, Carolina held the Cowboys yet again after Rookie pass rushing standout DT Marquese Barnes forced a 4th down punt with a huge sack. As if his first touchdown wasn't enough.. Artis-Payne wasn't satisfied as he busted another 47 yarder for a touchdown the first play after the two minute warning to wrap up the 33-21 victory at home.

After a 2-0 start the Carolina Panthers will host the 2-0 Ravens in week 3
    Great game again charter04

    Players of the Game:
HB Cameron Artis-Payne - 176 yards and two touchdowns on 22 attempts/2 receptions for 24 yards
Panthers O-Line - allowed only 1 sack, their only sack allowed in their first two games/0 holding or false start penalties
DT Star Lotulelei - 2 sacks

The Fumble Part 2: Not Us This Time

    Chargers 19
    Browns 20

Optimism was high in Cleveland after a whirlwind offseason saw the Browns add Aaron Lynch to the defensive line and a change in defensive coordinator. The change has led to the Browns now playing in a 4-3 system based on pass rushing specialists along the front 4. The scheme proved to be successful as the Browns largely limited the Charger offense only giving up one touchdown. What the Browns didn’t account for was how inept the offense would be. Through the first 3 and a half quarters the Browns did not even break 100 yards of offense.

The scoring started when Turbo Royster took a slant to the house after beating 1 on 1 coverage. The Chargers would take a ten point lead into the half before adding another field goal midway through the 3rd. On the ensuing kickoff Travis Benjamin would take the return to house going 99 yards topping it off with a slick juke to beat the final man. The Chargers and Browns would exchange field goals to keep the Browns within a touchdown. The Chargers would then seemingly put the icing on the cake kicking a field goal shortly before the 2 minute warning when Duke Johnson coughed up the bal close to the 40. It certainly seemed the nail was driven through the Browns coffin when Kolton Stone threw an interception on a jump ball in 1 on 1 coverage. “Before we hit the ground he ripped it from me. Not much else I can say about it,” said Lucas Parks about the play.

With one time and a minute and thirty-four seconds on the clock, the game was assumed over. The Chargers could take a few knees, call it a day. That’s not what they did.. Sure handed Brandon Oliver was brought into the game and carried the ball on the first down for about a 4 yards gain. The Browns did not use their timeout. On second down the ball was handed to Oliver again. Oliver got the necessary yardage for the game clinching first down, but coughed up the football! Big man Danny Shelton dove on the ball like a ham on Christmas night. After an incomplete pass on first down, Kolton Stone found Gary Barnidge about 30 yards down the field wide open. Barnidge caught the pass and ran it the remaining 11 yards for the score. The Browns would need to recover an onside kick to keep the miracle by the lake alive.

Recover an onside kick is exactly what they did. Punter Andy Lee attempted the kick and in an odd strategy darted the ball directly at the feet of the front line. It deflected off of a Charger and bounced around within their front line before popping out and into the chest of a diving Pierre Desir. Browns ball. The Browns took the ball up to the 27 yard line giving Potter a comfortable field goal attempt. “In the most unbelievable fashion, John Potter has the game on his foot. From 44 yards. Snap good, hold down, kicks up. IT’S GOOD! IT’S GOOD! THE CLEVELAND BROWNS HAVE COMPLETED THE MIRACULOUS COMEBACK TO OPEN 2018!” The call heard on the Cleveland Browns Radio Network.

Next up for the Browns is welcoming the rival Bengals for the first division game of the season.

    Great game Ace847

Good summary... Painful every time I watch or read about this game... Bee on ESPN all week... Fans calling for McCoy to be fired... Fans egged Oliver's house... It's been a tough week for the organization... Good thing we bounced back with a win in Oakland...

It was a rainy day in Chicago as the Bears hosted the Bucs from Tampa Bay. It was a defensive battle all day, and the Bears D made the play of the day when they forced a fumble on their own 1 as the Bucs were going in for a TD. Both teams were plagued with a bad case of drops, but the Bears defense really stepped up and made more plays in crucial situations. Bears win 10-3, and this guy

EAGLES WELCOME THE OILERS BACK TO THE NFL...

Blake Bortles last years' MVP struggled with his season opener on the road vs the Eagles. Blake tossed 3 interceptions before being pulled by management in favor of Case Cole. Geno Smith found success, keeping throws safe and relying on DeMarco Murray and Jeremy Langford who both went over 100 yards on the day. Jordan Matthews had a huge day out on the edge making several big time catches over the Oilers young stud CB.

LIONS FALL AS ROOKIE QB GETS CARTED OFF THE FIELD...

The Detroit Lions had high hopes for Reid Weaver to take control of the team following the departure of long time QB Matthew Stafford. But unfortunately the hopes were met with silence as the crowd watch the rookie peal his self from the Lincoln Field turf. Weaver was injured twice in this game as he tried to make plays outside the pocket. Geno Smith had a very pedestrian day but took care of the ball. The two headed monster of Murray & Langford again proved to be productive as the two totaled for 107 yards and 4 TDS

    Week 1
    Hou 31 KC 17

Houston opened the season with three new rookie starters on offense, and dominated.

7th overall pick Cedric Gordon carried the ball 33 times for 204 yards and two TD. Ethan Jordan "managed" the game going 16/27 for 170 yards. Rookie TE Philip Robinson was not a target on any pass attempts, but he made several key blocks including a nice cutback block to free Gordon for a 56 yard run.

WR Trevor Carpenter was a one man show for KC with 8 catches for 153 yards, but lack of balance proved costly for the Chiefs.

The Houston defense had 3 ints to start the year.

Opening night from the Atl saw the Ravens doing wtf ever the felt like and physically dominated thus game. #34 went crazy as he rambled his was to over 150 yards on the ground. The Ravens defense was equally impressive as they were smashing my receivers like ping pong balls. Gg Papa Perry you came out ready to play. Excellent job of mixing up your plays on offense bro. I watched film of the game and I wont be afraid to call those plays in my games in the future. Gltrots bro.

SD rattles off second straight after historic failure against Browns week 1...

The chargers win comes with a cost as Flacco was knocked out early on a hard hit as he released the ball at contact and it fluttered to a SF interception...

In comes Kaepernick, the former SF QB and clutch SD backup... This was his 7th time being called upon in two years and he did not disappoint! He threw 3 tds including a 99 yarder to WR Brandon! SF did well containing Gordon on the ground but Kaep did what was necessary to take over in the first on a tie 7-7 game to go on to win it 41-20 game and catapult the bolts to 2-1.

The chargers had some home field fortune in this one to be certain with a pick 6 and a lucky redline pick as well.

Lions fall to Bears at home

Owner David is becoming more an more unhappy with his teams garbage play on both side of the ball. Jimmy clausen is showing why he was a free agent to begin with. He did throw for over 30 yards but that doesn't matter if there not scoring. Bears dominated the run game and passing even though they passed for over 100 yards they were able to cap 3 tds out of it. Final score Lions 22 Bears 27

    Week 4:

After their first loss of the year last week at home to the Ravens, Copeland and his Panthers were hungry for a bounce back win in week 4 on the road in Minnesota. On the back of the breakout player of the year Cameron Artis-Payne, they did just that. A 34-24 statement win that put Carolina on the map in TMFL as a team that is forreal. Artis-Payne rushed for 127 yards on 15 attempts and 72 yards and 2 tds on 2 receptions as once again the opposing team could not stop his big play ability. Cam Newton had his second straight rough game as his accuracy has been an issue as of late. Copeland talked with reporters after the game and said "Cam has got to be more accurate for us if we are going to have any shot moving forward." Nonetheless, this was a huge win for Carolina who remains on top of the somewhat struggling NFC South so far this season at 3-1 and will look for win number four next week as they continue their road stretch in Tampa Bay against division foe BRUCE80 ..

    Seahawks Def 49ers

    Story Of the Game
These teams were heading in opposite directions momentum wise. The Hawks had won their opener after an 0-16 season while SF was absolutely shut down by the Denver Broncos. The Seahawks seized the day and the momentum in the season.

    It Was over When
Seattle was intercepting everything Hundley threw. The 49ers were outplayed in every facet of the game and it showed.
