In the last played season, the Colts were unsuccessful defending their Super Bowl Crown as they would eventually lose to the champion Patriots. The season was marred by inconsistency on both sides of the ball, mainly in the trenches on both the offensive and defensive lines. In the past 2 offseasons, the front office has made huge moves mainly parting with some fan favorites such as former MVP RB Bernard Pierce, speedster WR TY Hilton, FS Taylor Mays and Luck's security blanket TE Coby Fleener. With the exception of Mays, the other 3 were constantly injured which opened up chances for backups to show what they can do and as they succeeded they became expendable. There will be plenty new faces on this Colts team as they try to get back to the consistency that lead to their Super Bowl Ring.
Starters: LT Ben Ijalana(79), LG Hugh Thornton(92), C Khaled Holmes(85), RG Marty Brock(R-86), RT Tramon Hooks(85)
Backups: LT Jonathan Martin(79), C Chandler Schumacher(76), RG Greg Guthe(85), RT Guiseppe Swanson(80), RT Juan Ramos(R-79)
The offensive line welcomes 2 new faces in LT Ben Ijalana who is taking over for longtime LT Anthony Castonzo who became a cap casualty and Rookie RG Marty Brock who the team drafted this past draft. Young maulers Thornton, Holmes and Hooks are back and hoping to provide plenty of holes for new starting HB Freddie Barclay.

    Starter: Andrew Luck(97)
    Backups: Frank Partyka(73), Jonathan Washington(72)
At the helm is franchise QB Andrew Luck. There's not much to say about him that hasn't already been said. The coaches had Luck put in extra time in the weight room and training this offseason in hopes to avoid the injury bug that hit him a couple seasons ago, especially with 2 unproved quarterbacks behind him.

    Starter: Freddie Barclay(83)
    Backups: Kristian Faine(75), Telvin Barr(74)
Youngster Freddie Barclay finally gets the expanded role he has wanted. Barclay stepped up and played admirably when Pierce went down in the last played season, and played well enough for the front office to ship him out of town. His combination of size, speed, and catching ability has the coaches raving. Speedsters Faine and Barr will both get shots to spell Barclay as well as return duties.

    Starters: DHB(89), Denarius Moore(88)
    Backups: Jamel Attaway(R-78), Brandon Tate(79), Brion Nichols(71), Broughan Arriola(70)
DHB and Moore remain the starters for what seems like forever and the front office knows what to expect from both. However, due to the fact both have had injuries in the past the team spent a top 10 pick on Jamel Attaway who comes in with great hands and will take over the slot and eventually a starting role. Tate, Nichols and Arriola provide depth while Tate will fight for return duties with Faine and Barr.

    Starter: Dwayne Allen(88)

    Backups: Vance Mcdonald(74), Nelson Rosario(73)
Allen takes over for the departed Coby Fleener. Allen provides a more stable presence as Fleener always seemed to get hurt everytime he went over the middle. Allen also has great hands and is a great blocker and should help setting the edge on outside runs. Mcdonald and Rosario are primarily receiving threats and will be used in 2 and 3 TE sets.

Starters: LE Kendall Reyes(86), DT Jameel Blassingame(81), RE DeMarlo Tyson-Gulley(81)
Backups: RE Stephen Paea(85), RE Nick Williams(82), RE Lawrence Guy(81), DT Branton Mayes(R-78)
The defensive line remains intact from the later half of the last played season, that sparked their 2nd half surge. All 3 starters not only possess the ability to hold blockers but also can rush the passer. Stephen Paea was the prized addition this past offseason and will see time as the primary backup at all 3 spots.

Starters: ROLB Shea McClellin(87), MLB KJ Wright(91), MLB Jerell Freeman(82), LOLB Steele Grable(74)
Backups: ROLB Bjoern Werner(88), Kavell Connor(78), Micah McFadden(R-64)
The linebacking core, like the defensive line remains intact from the later half of the last played season. McClellin offers the weakside rushing while Grable most often takes away the opposing TE. Wright and Freeman are tackling machines and can defend the pass as well. Werner comes in and replaces Grable as a pass rushing specialist on 3rd down.

    Starters: DJ Hayden(88), Jonte Green(87), Cortez Allen(88)
    Backups: Tremaine Brock(88), Martaze Bourne(83)
Hayden comes over from the Raiders and immediately steps in as the #1 slot. Green now slides into the #2 spot where he played opposite Vontae Davis for a couple seasons and Allen maintains his position at nickel where he is a playmaking machine. Brock and Bourne will see action in Dime and Quarter packages.

Starters: FS Trevance Serratos(89), SS Joe Lefeged(85)
Backups: SS Marcus Gilchrist(76), Clim Regoo(75)

3rd year player Trevance Serratos takes over the FS slot left by Taylor Mays after lining up at SS his first 2 seasons. Joe Lefeged finally gets his opportunity to start after being on the roster from the beginning of the franchise and biding his time while also improving in many areas. Regoo is being primed to eventually take over the Lefeged's spot while Gilchrist was picked up off the street to provide depth
