Going into the season I will have to grade the Diamond Backs as a negative off season. They lost -4.3 War and there development declined as a team. They went (87-75) last season making the World Series. Projections this year in game have them at (101-61). I will put them as a decline this year from last and fighting tooth and nail to win a 4th consecutive NL West title at (82-80)

Good work on the start, cant wait to read the rest. It will be interesting to see how Arizona overcomes the loss of Escalante, Donnelly, and Skaggs. Adding David Price was huge for them.

Sorry about that error. I just updated the top post I had listed Skaggs as having major decline but it was Price. Adding Price over Skaggs is a -2 imo

Price can eat up innings though, which will be important for Cole this year.

This off season was a step in the right direction for the Padres and a improvement. Last season they finished with a record of (65-97). OOTP has them projected to go (86-76). With a 3.5 WAR improvement and a score of 4 on my analysis my projection for the Padres is (79-83)

With a .7 WAR upgrade and a 5 point improvement scale there is improvement in this team from last year. Last years record was (84-78). OOTP projections has it (85-77). I see this team finishing at (87-75)

Having a -3 on my scale and a loss of -4.6 WAR this was a significant regression team wise this off season by the Dodgers. Last years record was (74-88). OOTP has them at (79-83). And i will be placing them to finish the season at (66-96).

With a 1.4 WAR increase and a scale of 10 the Rockies imo are the most improves team in the NL West. Last year they finished (75-87).OOTP season projections have it at (60-102). I am going to roll with the Rockies to finish (85-77).

So with that wrapping up the NL West preview it imo is a 3 team race Between Arizona,Colorado and the Giants. With the Giants winning it the last week of the year and the Rockies competing for a Wild Card spot. Good luck fellas was fun doing this look forward to next year.

NOW 3 OF YOU DO THE AMERICAN LEAGUE !!!
