Wr Damon Jones leaves us in the lurch for NFL and DE Jesse Barber does the same. Swayed back DT and P.

Only returning 1 starter each of cb, lb, s and d-line on defense and 2 o-linemen on offense. Protecting the Pac 12 title is going to be an incredible challenge. In fact, I predict we won't have a chance to do it. We'll be lucky to make 2nd place in the North with WSU getting constantly better but we can do it. New superstars are ready to emerge in Berkeley!

    recchem2000 and Cheez

Cal fans rejoice as Ben Reese's Heisman Trophy from last year means Cal is not the only team losing its top 2 backs! Stanford will be breaking in a new 1000 yard rusher next season :)

recchem2000 you should edit your first post to reflect that Ben Reese of Stanford can also not be swayed.

Do we have a +1 or +2 rule for recruiting?

Also, what is the threshold for "walk-ons" I have quite a few players hovering around 65 that I would gladly cut if I could sign a 4* to replace them

I think you are stuck with them...but that was for the original members. You can cut the walk ons you have now but any you get in the future you're stuck with.

Right, so what's the ovr cutoff for a "walk on"..... 50? 60? 65?

I have one scholly left assuming the walk on rule is strict (I have a FB rated 40 something). I have one recruit on my board who is a 215 lb ATH with C blocking I was going to put at FB.....

So rec, if you could just throw an hour at him and a visit week 1 he is likely to sign and ND will be done recruiting....

If I can cut the 60 some guys I have laying around, make a run at some offseason "new" recruits

In any case, I should be on around 1030 - 11 to do pos changes, cut scrubs the CPU tacks on and fo preseason

    What's his speed?

FB – Player must be under 6’3”, weigh at least 220lbs and have a speed of 86 or lower.

QB Ryan Johnson will be back for his senior year as will junior WR Jonathan Brown. Star HB Kevin Alexander is leaving though as he was also the best returner in the nation the last 2 years.

listen captain ruleslawyer, he has 104 speed and I will run nothing but FB sives all year long...... I believe there is a rule saying an ATH can always play his best or "natural" position. If not there should be. Pretty sure he has B or B- speed, so 77-84 roughly..... Hopefully 87 so I can put him there anyways and drive you nuts. :p

He's got you on that one cheez :) That rule applies to position changes. Yes, if thats his best or natural position, its fine Neal.

As far as your 60 rated players, how many do you want me to keep...PM me a list of what you want done until you show up tonight.

That's the same rule we've used for athletes throughout the entire dynasty. And it's because you're assigning him a position - essentially a "position change"

If that's the case, I think I still have a 200 lb safety that has really great speed whose natural position was Lb. and I'm changing him to that tonight. He doesn't meet any of the criteria for a LB, but if that doesn't matter then he should be able to play there.

EDIT: We have been a little forgiving with the rule - as in if they are pretty close it slides. So, for neal's fb - as long as it's close (and it appears he will be) it will be fine. i just brought up my safety because in your definition of the rule, he would have been able to play linebacker despite being way too small and too fast (the only criteria listed for LBs).

I thought it was for position to position...say you recruit a TE and change him to a FB or vice versa. I don't know, I didnt make the rules.
