Opening Day is just hours away. While we can only hope to avoid the drama from the 2019 Post Season, we have to look back on it and acknowledge that it sure was a mess. The Milwaukee Brewers came into the playoffs as the heavy favorite to represent the National League in the World Series. Their season was cut short though, as in a cruel twist of fate, they were eliminated in the Divisional Series after winning this series the previous sim. A heartbreaking loss, and unfortunately one that could have been avoided. The Arizona Diamondbacks would instead represent the NL against the hated Baltimore Orioles who went a stunning 10-1 prior to their matchup with the Diamondbacks.

Fate was on the Orioles side as they captured their first World Series title since 1983*. With one of the best offenses in the league, the Diamondbacks had no chance, losing in 6 games. We had three new playoff teams from the previous season; the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Angels and the Pittsburgh Pirates. As is the case every season, there are instant contenders, and surprise teams.

Everyone is locked and loaded, and nearly everyone feels they have shot this year. Who will disappoint and who will surprise? Good luck everyone.

Is this the thread for Orioles pictures/gifs? Because I can get on board with that.

Umm, no chance? It took my closer losing two games for the Orioles to eek out the series win home boy.
