    How the hell did Page not win the Heisman?

    I was kind of shocked myself to see that...the vote wasnt even close if I remember correctly.

    Consider that Ohio State played 6 teams with losing records while Cal played 3. Also, 2 time defending national champs with maybe the best o-line in the country and considering again the competition. All I can think is the year Higdon had for his team making their first ever title (iirc) as the deciding factor, along with Higdon being a Jr while Page was just a Soph. Not sure how it was weighted.

    On the flip side Page was a beast and completely dominated in every game. He had a Jim Brown type historical season and took home all major rb awards (including best player in the country). Of course he is HOF after that season.
