    Heisman Race
As the season enters Week 12 the Heisman Race is one of recent memories closest races as it appears like week in week out there are changes to the order. John John Anderson has maintained his #1 spot for quite some time with a dual threat quarterback stat line to remember. Just 18 rushing yards and less than 80 passing yards to surpass 1000 and 2000 respectively, Anderson has thrown for 18 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions. He clearly understands his role in the offense and has #3 Heisman contender Randall Maddox to share carries with. Maddox has accounted for 2241 all purpose yardage so far and 22 TDs. Because the offense is so balanced and potent, it may be an achilles heel for these two that they're both so valueable to their team that it may not be as outstanding a single preformance.
Dark horse on the rise? Marcus Johnson came into D1 college football with the lofty unanimous #1 player in Coach Macc's first full recruiting cycle. His commitment to FSU was very much a roller coaster ride and then heard about the scrutiny coming in as a "bust prospect" due to missing the final 3 games of his regular season. Johnson not only put all doubters to rest, he's etched himself in college football history thus far as one of the best ever. This offense is tailored around MJ88's ability to dominate a game by simply throwing it anywhere near his wide catch radius. There's no player in the country more valueable to his team so if he can stay healthy, he has an easy matchup vs Maryland , along with a rival game vs the Gators that he will be chomping at the bit to play in since he missed last years victory.
Eric Rodgers the freshman from Plainfield, NJ the football factory of Holy Spirit in New Jersey has made a name for himself this year. Wisconsin's powerful rushing attack is headmanned by the massive 6-2 225 .lbs bowling ball. He put his redshirt year to good use apparently and came out firing on all cylinders. Rodger's is responsible for about 80% of the running back hand offs in his offense and has found pay dirt 15 times through the air. If there's too much competition this season, expect Rodger's to be among the front runners off the hop for this award next season.
