My only signings so far were MR James Johnson and C Wilson Ramos. I desperately needed some help behind the plate, and while Ramos is by no means great, he's better than my other options. Johnson will help lock down the bullpen for me. Also snagged Skel Dotson in the Rule 5 draft, who i'm hoping can be a viable 5th starter.

Good to know Curt Agan will have a job next year...

I picked up a great MR option for cheap and one of the intl FA's for cheap as well.

Had offers on Vignal and Yamaguchi, should of spend my money on Gausman in retrospect.

I don't think many people bid on Gausman. Because his contract is an absolute steal compared to the market rate for pitching.

And that intl FA makes me sad. I offered him about 500k more as a bonus and he signed with you instead.

Hopefully he can contribute in Japan as a #2 hitter while playing shortstop for me. His AAA numbers were solid, so I'm hoping they translate.

Thanks, I'm hoping he does well in the NL and fits good as a #4 pitcher. What did you offer him? All I did was hit the 'meet demand' button since he was going to be my only splash this FA season.

A little more than his asking price. Funny how that works sometimes.

Ya that is why i really like this game even more. I offered tapia over 9 mill per that is 2 mill more then saw offered per. Greedy guys etc always take that extra money. But that isnt the only personality traits that matter in getting a player. (Unless you offer a guy 48 million per)

Also remember Tapia was already here in Chicago and had great success so that plus the 2 mill more didn't sway him.

Wish I went after Gausman as well rather than the Japanese guy. I did end up with Casey Kelly and a NBL reliever for some semi big money.

I was hoping to steal Gausman but figured it was a long shot. Tried to sneak a lowball offer to him hoping no one else would bid on an injured and comp player. I couldn't have afforded the offer you gave him though, so oh well.

Taking a gamble on lincecum. Hooefully I can get some decent innings out of him as a 4th or 5th starter

He absolutely destroyed left handed pitching.

He really struggled against right handed pitching. He was a stud for me, enjoy.

This offseason has sucked. Didn't get any of my main targets. Oh well. Leaves me money for next season.
