    Final 2037 Dugout RPI Rankings

    • Domination: 4 out of the top 7 teams are from the AL West. It's almost a crime that 10 teams make the playoffs but #5 and #7 in the RPI don't get a shot. The RPI has given very favorable consideration toward the Rangers and Astros for their performance against their schedule though and expects them to win the WS. Of course, if the Astros beat the Yankees in the wildcard, it'll be #1 vs #2 in the ALDS. Potentially epic matchup for a division series.
    • Spy vs Spy: Records for all 10 playoff teams vs the other 9 playoff teams:
      1. Philadelphia Phillies 27-18
      2. Texas Rangers: 28-19
      3. San Diego Padres: 25-21
      4. Baltimore Orioles: 24-21
      5. Houston Astros: 23-22
      6. Chicago Cubs: 16-17
      7. New York Yankees: 22-24
      8. Florida Marlins: 20-24
      9. Chicago White Sox: 13-20
      10. Colorado Rockies: 16-28
    • Playoff Projection: Based on team vs team performance with RPI ranking tiebreaker:
      • AL WC: Yankees over Astros
      • NL WC: Padres over Marlins
      • ALDS1: Rangers over Yankees
      • ALDS2: Orioles over White Sox
      • NLDS1: Cubs over Padres
      • NLDS2: Phillies over Rockies
      • ALCS: Rangers over Orioles
      • NLCS: Phillies over Cubs
      • WS: Rangers over Phillies
    • Underestimated: The Rockies and White Sox come into the playoffs 8th and 9th in the RPI and 10 to 15 games behind the best teams in their leagues. However, their expected record places them both in the same ballpark as the other top teams. Have they just had some bad luck throughout the year and can they make a run through the playoffs?

NL Central = massively improved over last year.

    Not that it's saying much.

Yeah, you could be the bottom of the NL East.

or the AL East. Toronto had one of the worst dugout seasons I remember, and Tampa is bad.

But at least they didn't put 4 teams in the bottom 4 slots.
