This year, instead of waiting until the end of the first round do cram an hour or two of reviews in at one time, I'm going to do the TSO equivalent of a live tweeting of the draft. I'll be posting my response to each pick as I see them, not putting more than a minute of thought into any review (and in 140 characters or less).

    1. #MIL: @Deathblow3 Best talent, but outfielder. Nothing wrong with the pick, but David Burton is just as good at a scarcer position.

    2. #STL: @KingCarlBurton Very nice pick. Versatile, talented player. If he was faster, would have gone #1.

    3. #BAL: @BillyBeastOfBurden Best arm in the draft. Unpolished changeup is a bit scary, but bigtime starter prospect.

    4. #ATL: @BigBadger15 Solid arm, decent drop off from Jones. Not my favorite remaining arm, but good ceiling.

    5. #FLA: @B_Bart Stud if he learns to play defense. Beast of a #2 hitter.

    6. #CLE: @ShortAce5 Like him more than Badger, but very underdeveloped for a 20 year old.

    7. #TB: Flamethrower_42 Top 5 talent, but not someone who is known to pitch deep in games. Stud if he gets in shape.

    8. #KC: @NubsPruitt Not a fan. Mediocre contact + penchant to strike out. A mid-late 1st in my mind.

    9. #BOS: @CrashTestMoore Prototypical leadoff hitter. Okay defense, great speed, great OBP.

    10. #SD: @JTEggs Good fit for the park. Needs to work on his defense, but should fit in well.

#Terraboa is the safest and most pro ready player in the class. Could reach the Padres MLB team as soon as 2044.

Most pro ready bat. There's one arm that, IMO, is just as close to pro ready as him.

    11. #SEA: @WestIsBest1 Doesn't do anything special. A ballplayer, but not a talent worth a top 15 pick, IMO.

#Mariners pick up a versatile player that can do just about anything. Reminds me of @BMurdock30's bat but with utility defense instead of a focused position.

    12. #ARI: @HarvDog Awesome outfielder, can play anywhere. Decent bottom of order bat. Burner on the paths.

@Gravity's Metropolitans are on deck and they look hard at work waiting on the White Sox. Any surprises coming? #shakeitup

    13. #CHW @RouseTheMouse23 Best pen arm in the draft. All-Star closer talent. Highly developed.

@RouseTheMouse23 would've been a top 5 pick if he had a 3rd pitch. Probably lucky to stay in the top 15 despite his great numbers at Rice.

    14. #NYM @BigHurtEM Best all around starter left in the draft, and the rare lefty in this class. #3 upside.

    15. #LAD @Hargrove30 Versatile player who can play anywhere average or better and can do anything at the plate (beside walk). Great value.

    16. #SF @VaporLock23 High ceiling high school arm with 4 good pitches. Embarrassed high school batters.

    17. #OAK @42RamminRamos A high talent bat with good contact and power, but no athletic ability. 1B/DH only.
