Outside of the first possesion, where FSU settled for a FG after starting inside B.C. field position, the Eagles controlled this game. Somehow though, that wasn't enough to upset the Seminoles who kicked a go ahead FG with 1:00 left in the game to win 22-21. Boston College really held their own in this game. The defense was able hold the FSU offense most of the day, and forcing QB E. Manual to scramble time after time. Emanual though fought through the constant pressure and completed an amazing 13 of 15 passes and also leading the team in rushing with 13 attempts for 45 yards. For Boston College QB Chase Rettig seems to slowly be making some improvements but still comes up with too many mental errors, and a lack of accuracy on key throws. The Eagles were able to keep the FSU defense off balance with an occasional hurry-up offense. The stuck to the run game to keep Rettig's shortcomings hidden. But it wasn't enough this week and the Eagles go home knowing they missed a huge opprotunity to upset a top ranked team and possibly jump into the top 25 themselves. Next up for the Eagles is another key ACC matchup with Georgia Tech.
