3 Trade Limit Vote!

Discussion in 'TMFL' started by fuzzyl0gic, Apr 19, 2012.

?

How should we limit trades to 3?

  1. Trades should be limited to 3 player deals (but no limit on draft day)

    72.7%
  2. Trades should be limited to 3 period (draft day + players)

    27.3%

I picked the wrong one, just picked the same spot it was in last time, lol. It doesn't look like it will be close, but if we end up with a tie swap me to 3+ draft day.

That's 13 for the first option, and 4 for the second. Still need a lot of votes guys.

On draft day even if we have went over the limit on trades we can still do trades with players right?

15/30 for option 1. One more vote passes it.

Do trades in the offseason count towards trades in the regular season?

The current season and offseason count as that season's trades. We haven't begun season two yet.

One of your trades will have to be voided then. i was in the same situation where i had 4 trades and had to void one of them to meet the limit

Do I get to pick which one to void if this is true? If that was information I had know going into the process, I wouldnt have bothered with two of the trades.

To make this fair, I want to make this a rule going forward (so everyone is at zero), but what about those that have already completed more than three trades? NeuroticTruth ideas?

I'm saying I see it from both sides. I think you and NT are the ones who have done the most trading so far, and maybe you wouldn't have made certain deals if there were a rule limiting trades and all of them counted. If I start everyone at zero, the rest of the league feels shafted because that would mean you get 6 total trades. Just fielding ideas for a fair solution.

In all honesty, even if you do it starting from here on out, if people havnt made any trades yet, they wont make more then three trades in the offseason anyway.

My other problem is, if you just cut people off at three, and void there last deals that makes a disadvantage for people who plan early and put trades in early. Also, as an example lets use my trade with KDP. Say that was his 4th trade so its now void, does my #3 now become valid again? It just creates a potential cluster fuck.

Or option three, if you're over three, regardless of how far over. You're done and all your trades still stand (still a "disadvantage" to people to havnt traded yet, but again if they havnt yet, they probably wouldnt have or atleast not gone over 3).

I just think its easier and fair to start it with next offseason. In all honesty, if I had known that trades were going to be limited to three, I would never made the trade with KDP and Ghost.

I disagree, because when this vote and idea was tossed around it may have had some others wait on the ruling for it before they did any deals rather than hand in deals quickly to the TC and essentially we are giving people an unfair mulligan. From an equal opportunity across the board perspective the 3 trades rules minus the draft day trading should be enforced and will allow for equal chances across the board and not give any team a competitive advantage over other teams.

Why dont we just cancel all trades that have occurred in the post season, put everyone at 0, and start over then? *sigh*
