Nothing worked. Silas Redd gained 101 yards but 67 came on one run. Redd otherwise gained 34 yards on 15 carries. That was the key for the Cornhuskers defense to contain the run game, specifically Redd and they did so. "We weren't afraid of their pass game because they really don't have one," said CB Antoine Bell. Bolden was a non-factor, completing only 5 of 17 passes for 66yds and 2INT's. His legs were a non-factor after the Nebraska Dline controlled the line of scrimmage. That made life easy for Taylor Martinez and the offense. Martinez was dazzling on the game, baffling the PSU defense for most of the game despite 2INT's. Martinez did throw for 325yds and 4TD's and ran a TD with a beautiful 32 yard scamper. Nebraska's win over PSU gives Nebraska back to back Big 10 titles, and for Coach Moreecemos, this couldn't be sweeter.
