Oh, and for pure style points and replay awesomeness, we may run with cosmetic damage only. I want to encourage people to get as nuts around the corners as possible. I was drifting the Legacy through the tunnel at Positano and it was fantastic! For the multi-lap events we may even do a roll off delay and score based on best lap time. For that matter, we could run 2 laps at Nordschleife and do the same as it is about the actual length of a real rally stage. Thoughts?
I got tired of series failing, people dropping out of my series just to start 10 more of their own, etc... Hot lapping could only keep me entertained for so long. And honestly, with the tuners that I test drove for, I got tired of hearing "I tuned this car purely for the fun of it, and I know it's slow as balls... But do you think you could get a top 100 time somewhere? I think it would be great on Rally de Positano section Z...." Maybe when they make a game where racing the cpu isn't akin to hot lapping, I will buy the game again.
Since (unless I'm mistaken) that part in bold was a very thinly veiled jab at me, I'll start my reply with a friendly "Go fuck yourself" and a reminder that those TTCC races ran awful late on most nights. I had to (and still have to) get up at 5am EST to make it into the office on time due to an unpredictable commute. Starting a race 7 hours before I have to get up for work was a little ridiculous, but I'll admit, I shouldn't have signed up if I thought it was going to be a problem. Thing is, I didn't think it would be a problem until I got reamed for dragging ass at work. You'll also notice that all of the series I am running start at 9pm EST, are on the weekend (except for the Thursday races, but those are usually only 30-40 minutes long, including qualifying), and we are looking at moving some of the series to an even earlier start time. The only reasons I posted over here are: 1. This section of the forum appears to be dead 2. There are people here that are still looking for some racing 3. I enjoyed racing with everyone here and figured they'd have some fun running in a series or 2. Or 10 . Regardless, if you do happen to get the itch and pick up another copy of the game, you are more than welcome to run in any of the races I host, either as a series regular or a special guest.
Hey, look... excuses. Well thanks for the offer, Dawg. One time there was this band called "Sparta" that put out a great first album, then a really shitty one that I bought sight unseen, and before the album was over I pulled to the side of the road, took the CD out the machine, and bashed it into about 200 pieces on a rock because it was just that shitty, and I was just that tired of it (and I'm kind of an idiot). If Forza didn't have value, that's what I would have done to it, and where my frustration level was. I'll leave these threads here, but everybody here knows where RR is, and can go there anytime they want for some fun and racing.
