    "2011 Season Preview"
    Pre-Season, 2011 Season
The Broncos will begin their 2011 season with disappointing news as quarterback Brady Quinn suffered a season ending injury in the Broncos pre-season finally. Quinn was in a tight position battle with former Florida sensation Tim Tebow in a fight for the starting position. Tim Tebow has officially been announced as the day one starter but sources say the Broncos are currently shopping the free agent market.
Offensively the Broncos could somewhat be considered inconsistent. With lack of depth throughout the offensive depth chart, Denver may find themselves struggling on offense at times. As stated before, the offense will be led by Tim Tebow in an offense that is sure to be run heavy. Willis McGahee will be starting at the halfback position but it slated to split carries with Knowshon Moreno. McGahee and Moreno will the be the highlight to this Denver offense and their outcomes will rely heavily on them. Spencer Larsen will be the fullback and with his lack of talent, look for Denver to line up in a bunch of singleback and shotgun sets.
DeMaryius Thomas leads a group of inconsistent receivers that feature names such as Eric Decker, and Eddie Royal. Thomas will probably be Tebow's #1 target but it will be interesting to see which receiver steps up to lead this core of below average players. The tight end group is very weak as well with Julius Thomas and Virgil Green.
The offensive line could be a problem at times for Tebow and company. Ryan Clady is sure to perform well along with Chris Kuper but question marks arise from Orlando Franklin, J.D. Walton, and Zane Beadles. Beadles who may be the weakest of the group is going to have to step up and perform in order to give Tebow enough time to see the field.
Defensively, the Broncos have a chance at having one of the best defenses in the NFL but only time will tell if they step up and perform to their standards. The front four is led by Robert Ayers, Elvis Dumervil, Ty Warren, and Marcus Thomas. The Broncos are currently anticipating the return of defensive tackle Broderick Bunkley after losing him for 7 weeks in a pre-season game as well.
The linebacking core has potential to be one of the best in the NFL but a weakness in the middle linebacking position could cause problems. D.J. Williams and rookie Von Miller are the highlights to this group of players and with Joe Mays to be starting in the middle, it will be curious to how these players will be able to contribute to run support or pass coverage.
The secondary is led by veteran Champ Bailey and Brian Dawkins, but aside them there is a lot of question marks. Quinton Carter, Andre' Goodman, and Jonathan Wilhite have a lot to prove this season if they want to be considered amongst the top of the NFL.
Overall, the Broncos could have a successful season and have a good shot at winning their division.

"Broncos Hit the Free Agent Market"
    Week 1, 2011 Season

With a few injuries from pre-season and a couple holes left in the team, the Broncos have decided to hit the free agent market and have walked away with what they think could be great additions to their team.

Donovan McNabb - QB (78 Overall)
    6'2", 240 Lbs
    - The Broncos held a workout for veteran Donovan McNabb to see what the guy still had and they were impressed with what they saw. Tebow is still considered the starter but they wanted to be able to get a reliable backup just in case! The Broncos signed McNabb to a 2 year deal worth 1.7 million.

Mario Fannin - HB (61 Overall)
    5'11", 224 Lbs
    - The Broncos decided to add Mario Fannin to their group of halfbacks. Although Fannin want see much time on the field, the Broncos were still impressed with his knowledge of the game and hope he can attribute. Fannin was signed to a 1 year deal worth 470 K.

Braylon Edwards - WR (79 Overall)
    6'3", 215 Lbs
    - The Broncos hit the market to see if they could find a physical receiver to add to a weak group of receivers and they were happy to walk away with Edwards. Edwards has had success in the NFL and they are happy to have him on the team. Edwards is slated to start off as a #4 receiver but could work his way up the depth chart. Edwards was signed to a 1 year deal worth 620 K.

Rob Housler - TE (66 Overall)
    6'5", 248 Lbs
    - After seeing some film of Housler from his days at FAU, they decided to give him a shot and he has officially been announced as the starter at the tight end position. Housler's speed and size grabbed Denver's eyes from the get go. Housler was signed to a 3 year deal worth 2.16 million.

"Broncos Win in a Tight Contest"
    2011 Season, Week 1

The Broncos were set to host the Oakland Raiders in their 2011 season debut and it was a contest that went down to the wire. The Broncos were able to manage and control most of the game but Oakland came to life late to give Denver a run for their money. The biggest story was a very consistent showing by quarterback Tim Tebow. Even though had 1 interception on the day, Tebow finished today's contest with an 80% completion percentage.

Both teams had a slow start but Denver was able to score first as Thomas hauled in a 13 yard pass from Tebow to put the Broncos up 7-0. Denver added to their lead early in the 4th as Tebow delivered on a 1 yard QB run to give Denver an early 14-0. The first half concluded with solid defensive performances by Oakland and Dever as both teams headed to the locker room with Denver holding a 14-0 lead.

Oakland put up the first points in the second half as Sebastian Janikowski put a 28 yard field goal through the uprights to narrow the margin to 14-3 Denver. Janikowski was able to put another field goal through early in the 4th quarter as he knocked a 34 yarder with ease. Denver was able to answer back with a field goal of their own as Prater connected on a 20 yard field goal to give Denver a 17-6 lead. Oakland was finally able to get into the endzone on their next drive as Palmer connected with Heyward-Bey on a 1 yard touchdown pass and converted on a 2 point conversion to bring the score to 17-14 Denver.

Oakland was able to hold Denver on their ensuing drive but time would not allow them to get into field goal range to attempt to tie it up. Both teams battled all day but it eventually came down to third down conversions as Denver was able to convert 71% compared to Oakland's 27%.

"Broncos Fall to Bengals for Their First Loss"
    2011 Season, Week 2

Coming out of a tight contest against the Oakland Raiders, the Devner Broncos struggled in the turnover category in which eventually cost them any chances at earning a victory against the 1-0 Bengals. The Broncos seem to stray away from their clock control offense and even though they had success in the air, it seems they needed a bit more time of possession to keep their defense fresh.

The first quarter saw two Prater field goals and a 58 yard run by Cedric Benson to give the Bengals a 7-6 lead heading into the second quarter. M.Dell was able to receive a 1 yard toss from Tebow to put the Broncos up 12-7 after failing on a two point conversion. The Bengals put a late field goal through the uprights to close the gap to 12-9 heading into halftime.

The Bengals dominated the third quarter which is was ended up propelling them to victory. Two touchdown passes later from rookie Andy Dalton, the Broncos found themselves down 24-19 late in the game and never could get things together to put anymore points on the board. The Broncos will look to regroup this week as they head to Tennessee to play the 2-0 Titans in their first road contest of the season.

"Shootout in Tennessee Provides OT Entertainment"
    2011 Season, Week 3

Tim Tebow was once again the story of the day in Tennessee as he took complete control late in the game that gave the Broncos a huge win in overtime against a 2-0 Titans team. Tebow and the Broncos offense was able to put up 481 yards of offense today in a game that was nonstop till the end.

After a slow start, the Titans were able to score first as Hasslebeck connected on a 20 yard touchdown pass to Kenny Britt to give the Titans an early 7-0 advantage. The Broncos were able to put up two consecutive touchdowns though as McGahee and Tebow were able to put together back to back rushing touchdowns to put the Broncos up 14-7.

The Titans took control again as Jermaine Graham caught his 25th career touchdown pass and an Ayers 25 yard interception return gave the Titans a 21-14 lead. Prater was able to connect on a 27 yard field goal as the half expired as both teams headed to the locker rooms as the Titans held a close 21-17 lead. Nate Washington blew by Mike Goodman and caught a 40 yard touchdown pass to put the Titans up 28-17. The Broncos came to life once again as Prater put another one through the uprights but it was Tebow who scored on a 37 yard touchdown run and with a successful conversion brought this game back to a 28-28 deadlock.

Nate Washington once again put Goodman in his place as he caught a 68 yard touchdown pass to give the Titans a 35-28 lead with less than 2 minutes remaining. Tebow led the Broncos down the field and capped the drive with a 5 yard pass to M.Dell to tie the game once again and send it to overtime. The Broncos would receive the ball first after winning the toss and it was all Tebow again as the Broncos marched down the field and Tebow connected with Dell again to give the Broncos the win!

"Denver Capitalizes against an Injured Green Bay Squad"
    2011 Season, Week 4

Denver headed to Green Bay to face a Packers team that wasn't quite in full force. Green Bay would be without star quarterback Aaron Rogers and linebacker Clay Matthews. Denver took advantage of the missing players and attacked Green Bay at it's weaknesses. Backup quarterback Matt Flynn struggled throughout the day as he finished 17/32 with 279 yards and 1 touchdown with 58 of that and the touchdown coming on the last play of the game.

Denver's running game was outstanding today as they put up 215 total yards on the ground along with 207 yards passing. Denver was attacking Matthews spot all game and it showed that Green Bay was missing a key part to their defense.

Green Bay got on the board first with an 11 yard run from James Starks to give the Packers an early 7-0 lead. Green Bay increased their lead early in the second with a 30 yard field goal from Crosby. Denver was able to put some points on the board just before half as Braylon Edwards caught his first touchdown pass as a Bronco on a 1 yard reception thrown by Tebow.

Denver came out firing in the second half and rising star Rob Housler caught Tebow's second touchdown of the game on a 5 yard touchdown reception to put the Broncos up for the first time with a 14-10 lead. Denver didn't look back as they put up three consecutive scores; one being a 21 yard field goal from Prater, and the second being a 6 yard run from Tebow. Prater connected on a 40 yard field goal with 5 seconds left to put the Broncos up 27-10. Flynn connected on a 58 yard pass to Jennings to end the game.
