Now that the holidays are gone, the 12th Man is back up and running its regular schedule. The year may have changed but one thing remains the same in The 12th Man that makes it one of the best leagues out, and that's PARITY. Every division is up for grabs with the exception of the NFC North(those damn Packers), and in this edition of "A Look Inside the 12th Man" i will focus on those division battles.....

    AFC NORTH

In the tightest division race in the league, the Ravens currently sit atop the division with a 8-4 record, followed by the Bengals at 7-5 and the Steelers and Browns tied at 6-6. The Ravens have the inside track with a 3-1 division record along with the Steelers. The Bengals and Browns would most likely need to finish with a better overall record in order to win the division.

    Games to watch:
    Week 14: Steelers vs Browns
    Week 16: Bengals at Ravens
    Week 17: Ravens vs Steelers

    AFC SOUTH

The Colts were in control of the division until a rare 2 game skid(including an unfortunate sim) let the Titans and Texans back in the race. The Colts own the best divisional record at 5-1 but with the Titans only 1 game behind and the Texans 2 games behind, a lot can happen in the final 4 weeks.

    Games to watch:
    Week 14: Colts vs Chiefs
    Week 14: Texans at Titans
    Week 16: Titans vs Jets

    AFC EAST
    [IMG] vs [IMG] vs [IMG]

The Jets and Patriots are currently tied at 8-4 with the Jets having the advantage with a 4-1 division record compared to 2-2 for the Pats. The Dolphins are lurking at 6-6 and coming off an impressive victory over the AFC South leading Colts. With each team playing each other once in the final 4 weeks, keep your eyes on this divisional race.

    Games to watch:
    Week 14: Pats vs 49ers
    Week 15: Pats @ Jets
    Week 16: Pats @ Dolphins
    Week 17: Dolphins @ Cardinals

    AFC WEST

Another hotly contested division with 3 teams with 2 games of each other. The Broncos lead with a 7-5 record, with the Chiefs at 6-6 and Raiders at 5-7. The Broncos also have the best division record at 4-1 and appear to have the easiest schedule remaining.

    Games to watch:
    Week 14: Chiefs @ Colts
    Week 15: Broncos @ Panthers
    Week 16: Raiders @ Panthers
    Week 16: Chiefs @ Saints

    NFC SOUTH
    [IMG] vs [IMG]
The NFC South is home to 2 of the best teams in the league with the Panthers at 11-2 and Saints at 10-2. With both teams splitting the season series it will most likely come down to who has the better overall record. The Panthers have the edge with an easier remaining schedule but this race is going down to the final week.

    Games to watch:
    Week 14: Saints vs Cardinals
    Week 15: Panthers vs Broncos
    Week 16: Saints vs Chiefs
    Week 17: Saints vs Eagles

    NFC EAST

    [IMG] vs [IMG]

The Eagles are in control of this division riding a 5 game winning streak after they thought they were down and out. The Giants sit 2 games behind at 5-7. With these 2 teams facing in week 14, it could make or break somebody's season.

    Games to watch:
    Week 14: Giants vs. Eagles
    Week 15: Giants vs Bengals
    Week 15: Eagles vs Ravens
    Week 17: Eagles @ Saints

    NFC WEST
    [IMG] vs [IMG]

The Cardinals stand at 8-4 with a 2 game lead over the 6-6 49ers. Having beat the 49ers twice, the Cards hold the tiebreaker as well as a better division record. However, after seeing this 49ers team get hot in season one and make the playoffs, the Cards do not want to leave this one in the hands of the computers.

    Games to watch:
    Week 14: Cards @ Saints
    Week 14: 49ers @ Patriots
    Week 17: Cards vs Dolphins

Well that wraps up this edition of "A Look Inside the 12th Man". Hope you enjoy and see ya next week! (y)
