Much excitement is expected when these two division rivals get together. And this game did not disappoint. Washington struck first as RGIII snuck a deep pass to Garçon for the game's first score. The Dallas offense would settle into a rythym but only on 3rd downs. 1st and 2nd seemed like the players were going thru the motions only to awaken on 3rd down and come up with big plays. But 2 drives into Redskin territory would only result in 2 FGs. Then in the 2nd, another deep drive finally concluded with a TD, a strike to D. Bryant. The Dallas defense continued to play in lock down mode, forcing drops and turnovers. With less than 2:00 to go, Dallas got the ball back and mounted a drive. On 2nd down, D. Murray would take the toss and promptly fumble the ball, which was picked up by OLB R. Kerrigan and returned for the TD, 14-13 Washington.

That's how the 1st half would end and then Dallas would receive the kickoff and turn the ball over again. But technical difficulties would force the teams to restart. The new 1st half, which was really the 2nd half, started out with both teams exchanging scores. But after that it was all Dallas. Once more the 'skins' offense couldn't get going while their defense could not slow down M. Austin, who had over 150yds receiving and 1 TD.
Final score: Dallas 30 Washington 21
