Week 1 - Clemson Falls in the Horseshoe
Ohio State 30
Clemson knew they needed an almost perfect effort to knock of last year’s national champion and #1 ranked Buckeyes. Clemson gameplan worked well in the 1st half as they were only down 14-10, but they couldn’t hold on for the whole game. Star HB Terry McIntire was injured in he 2nd, which hurt Clemson’s chances. Ohio State won this game fairly easily thanks to 3 Jonathan Jordan interceptions. Jordan was benched for the 4th quarter and the QB controversy is underway. Clemson begins ACC play against Maryland next week.

#3 Florida State 48Oklahoma State 20
The Seminoles started the game off with terrible offensive play, punctuated by 3 first quarter interceptions by starting QB C.J. Bernard. Following that horrendous start, Bernard was pulled in favor of Sophomore Eric Murphy.
However, as the game progressed, Florida State changed up their offensive strategy in favor of the run. This worked out quite well for the Noles, as they rushed for 364 yards in the game. The offensive attack was lead by HB Jason Butler and his 16 carry, 293 yard, and 2 TD performance. Junior HB Trey Gardner was also able to add 2 rushing touchdowns on only 7 carries.
Unfortunately for Florida State, standout WR Jerome Lewis went down early and will be sidelined 3 weeks with back spasms. With the skills that Lewis possesses, he was expecting nothing less than a record-setting season. Hopefully missing the next few games won't hurt him too much, and he will be able to come back more determined than ever.

Turnovers and playing from behind brought down the Canes today against #7 Ranked Penn State. The Canes fell behind in the first half after a fumble and 2 interceptions and went into halftime with the score 21-7. Right before the half JR QB Andrew Hawkins who lead the Canes all last season was sent to the bench in favor of RS JR Ryan Walker who many Canes fans have been waiting to take the job. Walker performed well putting the pressure on PSU and breathing some life into the team going 8-12 for 123 Yards and getting 42 yards on the ground in 6 Carries, but there was not enough time and the defense was having trouble stopping the PSU running attack. PSU sealed the game late in the 4th with a running touchdown to bring the score to 35-21.Next week the Canes head to Arizona a team that they are not too familiar with, and it looks as if QB Ryan Walker will get the start. It will be a primetime game (all of the Canes 1st 5 games are) so the energy will need to be there.

#3 Florida State at West Virginia
Florida State travels to West Virginia for a mid afternoon game. Florida State shouldnt have any problems with the below par Mountaineer squad and they look to run wild again just as they did last week against Oklahoma State.

Miami looks to bounce back after a disappointing loss to Penn State last week. QB Ryan Walker gets his first start and the Canes are looking to make a statement in this game and gather momentum.

Miami played sloppy today against Arizona but thanks to the leg of Kicker Aaron Bell they got the win. Coach Bucsfan was enraged after the game despite the victory. We put the ball on the ground three times, completely unacceptable. This is a team that we should run over. We continue this kind of play and we are going to be at home come january.
The Canes now head to Virginia, a team that has historically given them trouble and try to right the ship in time to face FSU the next week.
Clemson Rolls Past Maryland7vs.43
Clemson was just 1 second shy of a shutout before their 2nd string defense allowed a Maryland TD. Clemson absolutely dominated Maryland’s offense and this game was over by the first possession. The QB controversy for the was not at all resolved as Clemson ran the ball all game. Last week’s starter was the only player to pass and went just 4-9 with 1 INT. Backup Sean Anderson ran twice for 16 yards. Clemson’s 1-2 punch at halfback ran for 198 yards and 3 TD combined. Clemson’s defense recorded 7 sacks and 3 interceptions. Clemson is now 1-1, bouncing back from a tough loss at #1 Ohio State and looks forward to playing Rutgers in week 3.

Florida State QB C.J. Bernard was able to recover from his terrible start to the season and go 15-21 for 283 yards and 3 touchdowns. Although Bernard had a very successful day, the offense was lead by its running attack. As a team, the Seminoles rushed for 261 yards and 5 TD's, including HB Trey Gardner going for 130 yards on only 8 carries. He also added a touchdown.
The Seminole defense played well once again, holding the Mountaineer run attack to under 100 yards. They also forced 3 turnovers, including 2 fumbles and an interception.
Once again, Florida State was bitten by the injury bug. Starting HB Jason Butler went down early with a strained back and will likely be back in 3 weeks. Hopefully the other Seminole running backs can step it up in his absence.

ACC Games to Watch for 2016
Rutgers at Clemson Week 3
A big test for Clemson, an out of conference win against a quality ranked team would do wonders for the perception of the ACC around the country. After losing early to Ohio State, Clemson should have this game circled in order to make a statement.
Florida State at Miami Week 4
Another Chapter to be added to arguably the greatest rivalry in the Nation. This will be the first time these two coaching staffs face off but it wont be the first time these players face each other. Many went to the same high schools and there is mutual respect and familiarity, but as they say Familiarity breeds contempt. Florida State is the better team on paper but you can throw all of that out of the window win these two meet.
Clemson at Notre Dame Week 10
Clemson travels to Southbend in Week 10 to face off against the Irish. On Paper the Irish are much better and this should be a tough one for the Tigers. Clemson as defending ACC Champs should be looking to strike a blow for the conference in this one.
Clemson at Florida State Week 11
Last season Clemson derailed Florida State’s shot at the National title and FSU should be looking for some get back. The winner of this game will likely be the Atlantic rep for the ACC Championship. This has the potential to be THE game in the ACC this year.
Miami at Notre Dame Week 12
Catholics vs Convicts. While this moniker may not be as literal as it once was this game is still important to both schools. The battles these two programs had in the 80s were some of the best of all time and rest assured the passionate alumni at both programs will remind the current players. I give the slight advantage to Miami as they will be coming off of a bye and Notre Dame will be fresh out of a battle with Clemson. Miami is hoping to get a signature win late in the season.
Auburn at Miami Week 13
These two schools have met before in recent years and Auburn has come away victorious. Miami will want to play with a ton of energy if they hope to beat Auburn. These two schools have also invaded each other’s territory recruiting wise lately(with Auburn regularly plucking from Florida and Miami grabbing top recruits from Alabama) forming a rivalry in that sense.
Florida at Florida State Week 13
Gators.Noles. What more needs to be said? Both of these teams are looking at National Title runs this year and both of them would absolutely love to spoil the others chances. This is about as evenly matched as they have been in recent years and it will come down to the little things like scheme, penalties, and turnovers.
#13 Miami at Virginia
Miami will try to gather momentum for their match up against FSU next week, but Virginia will come out fired up as it is their season opener. Miami has been stressing defense all week in practice as they have statistically one of the worst in the nation.
Boston College vs #3 Florida State
Florida State looks to keep things rolling against Boston College, Dont expect the Eagles to put up much of a fight against the Noles.
#14 Rutgers vs #16 Clemson
Clemson takes on Rutgers in the ACC Game of the Week. These two squads are evenly matched and both would love to make a statement with a victory here. We're going to give the edge to Rutgers, their offense may just be too much for Clemson.
Week 2 Players of the Week
Offense: QB CJ Bernard of Florida State, 15-21 283 Yds 4 Car 5 TDS
Defense: LE Scott McKenzie of UNC, 6 Tkls 4 TFL 6 ATK 2 Sks FF
Clemson barely holds on to beat Rutgers
Both Rutgers and Clemson needed wins today. In a game with astronomical running numbers, Rutgers looked like they were going to win when HB Darren Peterson was injured in the 3rd. Peterson rushed for 194 yards on 8.8 YPC. Backup Jonathan Johnson managed 88 yards on 6.2 YPC but was not much of a factor. Clemson ran for 430 yards on just 32 carries and killed the Rutgers defense with their option game. The difference in the game was Rutgers 4 turnovers compared to Clemson who didn't lose it all game.

Clemson Rolls Through Boston
Boston College 24
Clemson didn’t seem like themselves against BC but was able to pull out a win despite their poor defense. Clemson allowed 400 yards passing and 474 total yards. Yet again the dynamic duo of running backs, Melton and McIntire were spectacular running for a combined 271 yards. Clemson moves to 2-0 in ACC play but will have to improve to beat teams like FSU. Next week Clemson travels to play a weak Wake Forest team and looks to improve off their performance at BC. Clemson will use Jonathan Jordan as the starter next week and in the future.

Defensively, Florida State played great, holding Miami to only one offensive touchdown.
The Noles look to build on this momentous win and keep their National Title hopes alive.

Clemson should go visit Boston College and ground the Eagles offense.
Miami and Florida State meet again , some think FSU just has too much talent, but it will all be settled on the field where you wont know what to expect just as anytime these two programs meet.
Florida Atlantic vs #3 Florida State
This is going to get ugly, fast. FAU has no business being on the field with the Noles.
Boston College vs # 16Miami
Miami and BC renew their rivalry. Expect the Canes to come out after a poor performance against Florida State last week fired up and ready to go.

Over Before It StartedClemson 54Wake Forest 0
Clemson pulled out their most dominating performance of the season, blanking the lowly Wake Forest team. The biggest story of the game though, is Clemson QB Jonathan Jordan’s injury. Jordan was injured on an option play in the 2nd quarter and will be out 9 weeks. Clemson was in the midst of a QB controversy, so backup Sean Anderson will fill in. Anderson was 1-1 for 22 yards and ran twice for 32 yards and 1 TD. Clemson doesn’t use the QB much as they are the number 1 rushing team in the nation. Jordan’s absence may not even be noticed, as Anderson is even better at handling the option. Clemson’s HB’s yet again shined vs. Wake. McIntire ran for over 100 yards and 3 TD, and backups Aaron Harris and Sean Odom ran for over 100 as well. #2 HB Jay Melton ran for just 17 yards before being injured. He will be back next week. The most exciting part of the game was Clemson goal line stand in the 3rd. Wake has the ball, 1st and goal on the 3 and Clemson stuffed them 4 times to hold the shutout. Clemson allowed just 1 Wake Forest completion and no 3rd down conversions.

ACC Week 6 Games
Wake Forest vs #4 Florida State
Two teams on completely different sides of the college football world. FSU will continue to make teams look straight ugly this week against Wake Forest.
North Carolina vs #9 Clemson
Clemson will use its top ranked rushing attack to show that it is the best team in the Carolinas.
#15 Miami at Duke
Miami is still struggling mightly on defense, but they may catch a break this week as Duke's offense is equally as horrendous. The one bright spot is it finally looks as if Miami has a true Quarterback with Ryan Walker.
