Hey, basketball season aint far for you guys (Killer especially)
I predict Duke will have worst record.
Nah, I'll beat all of my CPU opponents, except maybe Bama, and UNC if I get really unlucky, but I've beaten UNC with Duke the last 2 games I've played, and my favorite playbook is pretty bad for that.
I should go at least 50/50 with my user games.
Honestly you'll probably beat me, lol. I've played a couple of games with Maryland and these sliders, and I think I should do well against the cpu. We'll see how the user games go though haha.
All Wake Forest wants is a bowl bid, and to beat the Dookies!
My defense stinks!!! lol
Nobody has all that good of a defense in the ACC except for BC.
Yeah BC has a solid linebacking corps. I don't have much of a defense though either. Noel Devine went for 200+ and 3 tds on me earlier. I know he's good but I sure wasn't expecting that kind of a beat down from the computer.
Did you end up winning?
Nope I lost. I really like the sliders so far. I've beat the teams I should beat and games with teams that are better than me have all been close.
The sliders we have set right now?
Yeah I've been using them the last couple of days. However they're set in the league description is how I set them for the dynasty I'm doing right now.
Good deal man. I hope they provide a good challenge for everyone.
I had fairly realistic stats in the game I just finished too. QB was 12/24 176 yards 3 td 1 int. RB had 22 carries 127 yards. Only odd stat was my MLB had 17 tackles lol.
I just beat Bama with my Blue Devils... greatest 4th quarter I've experienced in an NCAA game... oh my god...
Sliders good then?
I going into the half down by 6.
I score 16 in the third to make it 31-21.
At the start of the fourth, I get another touch down to give me a 17 point advantage with 7 minutes to play.
Game over right?
Bama drives down the field and scores. I go three an out (Dropped ball on 3rd and inches, grrr). They score again with 2:35 left to play.
I'm moving it down the field well, eating some clock. I see a decent hole on the right, so I roll out. A backer starts to come up (spy maybe) and I see my receiver has about a step and a half on the corner. I throw it deep, but it was just a little too short and my receiver loses the jump ball. They've got the ball with ~1:30 on their 10.
They had about 4 3rd down conversions on this drive... and a really long screen play with Ingram. Anyway... they end up scoring a touchdown with 18 seconds left. I am now down by 4, so if I need a touchdown. I was heartbroken when they put in that score. Ugh, it felt awful, after I had played such a great game.
Well, I had a long pass play to my Wide Receiver. He breaks a tackle and I end up getting 55 yards out of it, putting me at the 18 yard line. The 18 yard line is really tricky, because there aren't a whole lot of routes designed for that. I end up choosing a play where all of my players ran streaks, and had my tight end run a slant, just in case the coverage was too good down field. My 2nd best receiver, who is decently tall, got injured in the third, so I would lose a jump ball no matter what. They were in a cover 3, so I threw it on the inside shoulder of my slot receiver, and he ran it in with one second left on the clock.
I was soooo pumped.
Greatness Score : 1571
Ended with 577 passing yards.
I had 3 receivers with over 100 yards, and 1 of those had over 200.
Dont take this the wrong way, but sounds like passing needs to be harder.
Maybe. They just blitzed a lot of guys on every play. I ran out of 5 wide a lot and was able to find the open guy.
dk how #2 wasnt intercepted haha.
Good game tho champ.
I think the position with his turn was weird. If you watch closely, you'll notice that he was quite a bit of the way in front of me, then my guy made his cut and he started turning as I threw it.
At first I wasn't worried, then when my receiver caught the throw and I was like WTF!
Just for shits and giggles
