One question Jello, because all of your notes are very clear and super helpful. After End of Bowl Season, when I place my Champion back through the schedule(ND for instance,) am I editing the bowl game part through the schedules and team schedules? Do I need to do this with ALL of the teams who played in the playoffs? Ole Miss in the winning spot for the Quarterfinal, Clemson all the way back through to the first round?

If that's the case, and I place Texas back as the winner of 'West Regional,' do I need to do anything other than just replace them with LA Tech? Through the team schedules I mean.

When you've advanced to end of bowl season, you go back and put all of the winners back into all of the games that they won. You do this by editing both "team schedules" and "schedules" under "schedule data." IE. for my last bracket that I edited :

when I finished, it would look like this, where the circled teams are in the final edit:

so in this case, I replaced :
    • ND for UNC in the Orange
    • Clemson for Houston in the Sugar
    • Ole Miss for USM in the South
    • Clemson for Air Force in the East
    • ND for KSU in the MW
    • Texas for LA Tech in the West
Rice/UCF/Alabama/Baylor won't need to be moved because they were already in their final destination when I edited the file for the quarterfinals.

So I'm starting to put together my first round, and a question I just thought about came up.

So, when I replace the winners before I advance to end of season, I'll put (like you did) ND for UNC, and ND for KSU. When I do that, will there be enough rows for ND to handle that in the schedules tab? If that makes sense.

Because editing for the first round I know there's a set amount of rows per-team in the Team Schedules tab. Will new ones be created as we go along? When replacing KSU in the bowl, I know I can change them to no game in the Team Schedules, and take them out of the Bowl Schedule as well. But will (using your example), on this last step, three different teams show Notre Dame against in the Bowl Schedule AND Team Schedule? So Utah and Texas will have columns in the Team Schedule tab saying Opponent -> Notre Dame.

These examples aren't from the bracket I posted earlier when ND won it all, bu this is for my latest season with this bracket and these edits:
    ....
I'm not sure how you're doing this, but it sounds like you're sorting by team or something so that you see all of ND's games grouped together. Is that correct?

I do it like in PocketScout's youtube video so first I reverse sort by "Game #" so that it goes from highest to lowest (because the games I'm changing are 42-11) and then I reverse sort by "Week" (because the bowl weeks are the highest #.

I then end up with something like this:

You can see from my excel edits that Michigan played (and won) in games #42 (NCG), #35 (Rose Bowl), and #16 (MW Regional) and you can see from the editor's "Schedules" tab that Michigan was replaced in all 3 of those games.

Here's the "Team Schedules" tab, which is also sorted first by "Game #" and then by "Week":
You can only see Michigan's Games #42 and #35, but if you scrolled down more you'd see their Game #16 too.

I've never sorted the schedules by "Team ID" before (which is what it sounds like you're doing) and you DEFINITELY don't want to do this when editing the teams, but when I sort it now (AFTER I've edited) I see all of Michigan's games:

And it includes our CCG (Green Wisconsin), Regionals (Black Cal), Semis (Blue UK), and NCG (Red Wisconsin).

After reading this again it really sounds like you're sorting by team first and then changing stuff like their Opponent to "no game" or something. Don't do it like that. You're not really editing the "schedules for the teams" but really editing the "teams in the bowl games."

IE. I don't edit Michigan's schedule so that they play Wisconsin as their 16th opponent. Instead I edit game #42 (which you can see from the "Bowls" tab is the NCG:
    upload_2014-3-10_11-14-46.png

Here's my file before any edits that had the Michigan/Baylor default NCG:

And here's where I edited it for the Quarters when I had 2 placeholders in the NCG:

And finally, the edited file for the final round of my playoffs with the 2 semi winners Michigan and Wisconsin facing off:
    upload_2014-3-10_11-16-45.png

Also, note that you are 1st sorting by Game # to get those in reverse order, and THEN sorting by Week #. This is because there are several repeat Game #s, IE. there will be a Game #1 for every single week. By reverse sorting Week last, then when you look @ game #42 it's week 21's game #42 which is the NCG, as opposed to game #42 for any other week:

For anyone who is still playing NCAA and wants to get these playoffs but want a dumb'ed down way to process this, Ive made a set of videos that make it super easy. I basically went through showing you how to do a 4 team and an 8 team playoff set up so those will be here in this reddit post i made. Enjoy!

I didn't check out any videos, but nowhere in the text do you give any credit to Pocketscout or Yengator who are the guys that came up with all of this. I'm sure it isn't your intent, but it sounds like you're taking credit for coming up with this methodology.

In the first video I say the guys over at Operation Sports and you (not by name but you) were the ones that brought the concept to my attention. I'll add their names though. Thanks for pointing it out man.

Yeah, I still can't thank pocketscout enough because it's AMAZING how much fun he's added to my game.

Also, I'm not sure how many here have seen his webpage creator, but it's pretty damned nice too! I haven't used it (mainly because I was already several seasons deep before I heard about it) but I've been really tempted to create one for my dynasty by going back retroactively and uploading every season (I keep a save at the end of every single season).

    Here's his thread:
    http://www.operationsports.com/foru...86-pocketscout-ncaa-2014-webpage-creator.html

and here's an example of what it looks like. It's for offline dynasties and it can keep track of quite a bit of data!
    http://pocketscout.us/Archive/Seasons.html
    (click on "Current Season")

and here's some SS examples of what he's done (keep in mind this is for offlines) and a lot of this stuff is stuff that you can't even get in game:

Top programs in your dynasty by wins, as well as the best teams in the last 3 years

    (Strength of Schedule rankings)

Coach info including a rating, as well as their original job.

All of your dynasty's national champs:

    Recruit rankings by conference:

Top performances from the season. The "Link" link will even take you to that game so you can check it out, even if it was a simmed CPU/CPU game!

Hey Jello Im looking at this and is it just something you do at the end of the season similar to the Playoff MOD?
