Are you going to extend Ben Tate's contract? How will you replace Mario Williams? How has the addition of Wade Phillips as the DC impacted this team? What non-conference game are you looking forward to the most?
Who is going to be the #2 option after Andre Johnson? We are really not that sure but right now as it stands it would be Kevin Walter. But we are still looking towards trade or free agency to fill this hole. Are you going to extend Ben Tate's contract? Yes we do plan on extending Tate's contract he is a key to our offense. It is always good to have a very good backup on the bench incase Foster gones down or ned a breather. How will you replace Mario Williams? We believe that our young guys can fill the hole of Williams Brooks Reed in a future star OLB and Connor Barwin also is a very good OLB. I never really thought Williams fit in the new scheme to begin with. How has the addition of Wade Phillips as the DC impacted this team? I think he made are D so much better. He made us more aggressive. He also helped improve our young plays and he brought a bunch of experience to the team. We expect big things from him this year also. What non-conference game are you looking forward to the most?I am looking forward to a whole bunch of game but the main one is @Detroit because it is on thanksgiving day which is a new experience for us and everyone will be watching.
thebouncer24 Who do you think will be your starting QB this year? We will be starting the season off with Jake Locker. We feel he brings the best possibilities to our team. He has a great arm and some good legs. We need Matt Hasselbeck to help him out and teach him the ways to be a good NFL QB. After having a below average season do you think Chris Johnson will rebound to his 2010 form? Chris Johnson was at conditioning for the first time in his career with us. If that tells you anything. Along with bringing in Steve Hutchison we like what we are looking at. He will find his way back into the top 3 and even find his way to number 1! How does your defense look for this year after losing Cortland Finnegan in free agency? We lost a warrior in Cortland. He did not like to lose and was always in your face. We still have McCourty and Verner. We are looking at some other options via trade and free agent. Do you think your Titans have a chance to take the AFC South? Yes I do believe we have a legit shot at being at the top of AFC South. I have a lot of faith in the defense to keep it close and low scoring. We are looking out though with all this young talent in Blackmon, Luck and Houston always being a good team. It'll be a battle but expect Titans at the top. What non-conference game are you looking forward to the most? Patriots, Chargers, Lions. Are first 3 games are important for a good start. If we can get 2 of these wins i'll be happy. In HK history we have been down 0-3 before and still come back but I would like to get off to a 3-0 or at least 2-1 start. So these 3 teams are the most important to play.
1. MJD is available for the right price. However, we've been in discussions with him and his agent. We've been trying to get him to concede a little and to just show up this year and then we would give him his extension next year. We believe that he has been receptive to this idea and will show up for the preseason. 2. I was surprised to see this as well but this is Gabbert's team. We invested the #10 overall pick in him last year and he is our future at the QB position. If he and the Jaguars struggle again this season though, that could change next year. 3. We're an organization that firmly believes that running the ball and stopping in the run is how you win games. So we fully expect for this to continue. 4. We're really excited to see what he can do to help extend our offensive ability. There's 2 big things he can do for us. #1 Teams were stacking the box last year and, even though MJD had a great year, taking the extra guy out of the box should make it even easier to run. #2 He gives Gabbert a legitimate threat. For Gabbert to develop, he needs WRs so they should hopefully be able to work together and progress together. 5. We play the AFC East, NFC North, Cincinnati, and Oakland this year. None of them really stand out more than the others to us though. We'll just be looking to take whatever we can get.
Titans Wrap up Preseason Week 1 PracticeTennessee has the first practice of the season and a lot of good the starters showed. Offense worked it right down the field and defense had a 3 and out. This is all the first team saw, as coaches wanted to see what backups we had. LB Zach Brown and Keith Malast showed some exciting plays at linebackers. OK St. rookie Markelle Martin showed some greatness at safety but again showed some rookie mistakes, it is expected in first practice and preseason. Rookie RE Scott Solomon showed all rookies mistakes as he didn't do anything great but go 2 penalties for roughing the passer. for more info visit https://twitter.com/HKTitansLive for up to date info and news.
How will Andrew Luck manage fill the shoes of the legendary Peyton Manning? -Obviously filling the shoes of a player like Manning is a tall order; we know, Andrew knows it, and the Colt faithful know it. But we feel that Luck is a once in a decade type player, just like Manning was. Both set all sorts of school records in college, both stumped pundents by staying for the senior year and both came into the NFL with endless potential and even more pressure to succeed. Who do you plan on being your starting RB now that Joesph Addai is gone? Do you plan on singing someone? -Right now Donald Brown is our man and we are very confident in his ability. We have no plans to hit the market for a RB and are happy with our RB situation as of now. How do you think your defense will fair this year? -It is going to be a transition year so it is hard to tell. We will be going from a 4-3 to a 3-4 look and a lot of players will have to adjust to a knew role. However, we feel this transition will pay dividends down the road. Other than Andrew Luck do you have any other rookies that might have break a break out year? -We were able to sign TE Coby Fleener, one of Lucks favorite targets from Stanford a year ago, and expect great things from him. We also feel like we got a steal with RB Vick Ballard late in the 5th round. He is a nice change of pace back and compliments our current backfield. What non-conference game are you looking forward to the most? -There really isn't one game that we are looking forward. We're ready to get the season under way and right now we don't have any major rivals. You have to win to get rivals.
Texans Make a TradeThis just in the Eagles and Texans have made a trade. The Texans receive Dion Lewis and Ealges get Justin Forsett. Both team are pleased with the deal and are excited to see what they can do in the preseason.
Jaguars Get Key Extensions Done Jacksonville, FL - The Jaguars announced today that they have reached agreements with potential FA's LOLB Daryl Smith and RT Eben Britton. Smith signed a 5 year extension worth about $53 million and will continue to be the anchor on the Jags defense which he has been a part of for his entire career. Britton, a former 2nd round pick out of Arizona, singed a 4 year extension worth about $10 million. He's been a solid starter for the Jags and they hope he will continue to improve and play a key roll in future years.
Houston Texans pitt4life21 The Texans are having an average year by their standers. Houston right now holds a top 5 spot in defense which they hope to hold the rest of the year. The main reason for their .500 start is because of the offense QB Matt Schaub has 10 picks and only 4 TD passes. He will need to improve those stats a lot if the Houston Texans hope to take the division. Tennessee Titans thebouncer24 Tennessee is I believe the team to beat in the AFC South just because of his skills on the sticks. The Titans started off well with a win over 31-0 win over the Pats. In that game, the offense would get over 350 yards and their D would hold the Pats to under 150. If Tennessee does this more often who knows we could be talking Super Bowl. Tennessee would come back down to earth after that game still winning but only by 2 over the SD Chargers. In their next game, they would have a solid offense but the D could not hold up as they would lose a tough one 31-28 to the Lions. In week 4, it would be the opposite of week 3 with the offense struggling to get 150 yards of total offense as they would take another tough loss 22-13. Jacksonville Jaguars HAL9100 The Jaguars are off to a tough start this year, mainly because MJD is not running like MJD should as through 4 games he has yet to have a 100 yard game. Jacksonville would start off with a hard luck loss to the Vikes 27-24. The next game would be vs the Texans. They would struggle to get much going mustering only 197 yards of total offense. Jacksonville would just fall short again losing their home opener 13-10. The Jags would finally find a way to pull one out in week 3 against the colts. In week 4,the Jags would lose another game by less than 6 point to the Bengals. If the Jacksonville can find their running game and lower the amount of turnover the Jags could be a contender for the wild card or maybe the division. Indianapolis Colts @ChaoticUT The New owner of the Colts is off to a hard start just like the Jacksonville. Andrew Luck is having a Good season so far, but their D is not doing too well if they want to get better it will need to improve. In week 1, the colts would get a tough matchup in daaaaaa Bears. They would play extremely well with over 300 yards total offense, but Luck would throw 3 picks, and that would prove to be what killed them as they would lose 17-15. In week 2, Indy would get 386 yard of total O 237 of that by Mr. Luck. He would lead them to a 28-17 victory. The Colts would have a tough 2 poing loss to the Jags in week 3. We will have to see how the Colts respond to this loss in week 5. *Look for AFC South recaps every 4 weeks*
Texans Make a Trade Texans have a new young qb as they trade Ben Tate to the pats for Ryan Mallet. The texans are excited about this trade he will start week 6. Dion Lewis will take the backup roll at hb. Schaub will take a seat on the bench after throwing 15 picks through 5 games.
Tennessee Titans Week 8 Update Titans finally have a great practice and looked sharp in the process. Maybe some things are starting to change in the organization. Jake Locker pulled together the team and got some things clicking. He would hit WR Michael Preston and TE Taylor Thompson. Also the big stat came from backup RB Jaime Harper. As he would eclipse the 100 yard marker to finally give the Titans some sort of rushing attack. Titans have been using Jaime Harper in some select roles throughout the year but with the performance in practice he may have made the jump to get some more carries as starting RB Chris Johnson is struggling. The Defense also came in and looked strong only giving up a FG due to a misread by MLB Colin McCarthy. Colin quoted after the practice that the misread was his fault and will not happen in a game. Titans need a strong performance this week as they need a turn around in the season and no better way to turn around the season by getting a win vs AFC South rival Colts. Titans rushing attack has been poor and a big showing here is needed. Also Jake Locker needs to control the game a bit better. All in all if the Titans can get it turned around a push to the playoffs is not out of the talks.
AFC South Recap Up To Week 8Houston Texans pitt4life21 In week 5, Houston would have their worst performance so far as they would give up 34 points and just get tore up by currently the best team in the league the Jets. This would end up being Matt Schaub’s last start as, after the game the Texans would announce that they traded RB Ben Tate to the New England for 2nd yr QB out of Arkansas Ryan Mallet. He would take over and perform well vs. the Packers, but Houston would lose with 8 seconds left in the game. It did not get any easier on Houston as they would have to face the team they lost to in the playoffs last year the Ravens. In this game, Houston would start slow, but in the end, the Texans would get some breaks and pull out their 3 W of the year. We will have to see if they can keep it up coming off a bye week vs. Buffalo. Tennessee Titans thebouncer24 As like most teams in the AFC South the Titans continue to struggle at the halfway point of the season. After their week 4 loss to the Texans, the Titans would end up taking a hard to Minnesota 28-20. Chirs Johnson in this game would be held to a total of 2 yards. As most of us know if CJ2k finds his Madden 12 form who know what Tennessee can do. In week 6, Tennessee would have another tough game with the Steelers. As both teams would fight hard, but Tennessee would fall short again 24-17. In week 7, Tennessee would get 1 more yard of total offence but still would struggle and pick up their 5th straight loss. The Titans would pick up their 3rd win in week 8. We will have to see if they can keep it up in week 9. Jacksonville Jaguars HAL9100 Oh the Jaguars just continue to struggle. In week 5, they would pass well but as is the story of their year no run game, and they would not be able to pull it out as they would lose 27-24 to daaaa bears. After their bye week, the Jags would play the Raiders. In this game, the Jags offense would be average with 223 passing yard but only 16 rush yards which as I said before is the story of their year. They would fall again 34-28. It would not get any easier in week 8 vs the buzz saw called the packers. In this game, the Jags would get take a thumping 49-14. If the Jags get MJD going, maybe they can turn this season around. Do I sound like a broken record talking about this team? Indy Colts ChaoticUT The Colts continue to struggle to find the W column which is kind of the story of the AFC South in 2012. In week 5, the Colts would draw the Packers and in this game, both offense statically matched each other, but the Colts would fall “a day late and a dollar short” and fall 27-24. The Colts would then get another top team in the Jets and as the Jets do, they would not overwhelm you with O, but they still blow you out As the Colts would lose again 27-10. In week 7, the Colts would find themselves and respond by taking it to the Browns. In this game, the Colts and Luck would throw for 298. This game proved that Luck is the key to their team as they would pick up W number 2 34-21. The Colts in week 8 would face Tennessee. They would give up 300+ total offense which would be the downfall to them in this game.

Jaguars Make Blockbuster Trade For Fitzgerald Jacksonville, FL - The Jaguars announced today that have come to terms with the Arizona Cardinals to trade star WR Larry Fitzgerald to Jacksonville in the biggest trade of the offseason. In return for Fitzgerald, the Jaguars traded the Cardinals their 1st and 3rd round draft picks in the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft. Fitzgerald was reportedly shocked to be traded by the Cardinals as he expected to play for Arizona for his entire career, but was excited to join a young and talented Jaguars team that just missed out on a Superbowl Championship. The Jaguars management have been really pleased to get this trade done. "We had an amazing season this past year that well surpassed expectations and are really proud of all the hard work the guys put in", their HC said, "However, we hope this trade shows our players, our fan base, and the rest of the league that we are not satisfied. Larry will make our offense much more dynamic and much harder to defend as we try reach our ultimate goal."
Titans Gear Up for AFC South Passing Attack With the past AFC South Champ Jacksonville gearing up at Wide Receiver, Titans have countered with some Cornerbacks. Getting Brandon Browner 6'4 221 in FA and Jarvis Morgan 6'2 220 in round 1 of the draft. Titans coach says 'no hiding it, we sucked vs the pass last year, Jags have brought in Fitzgerald to supplement Mapa to Blackmon so we are preparing for it.' Titans first 4 picks were defenders, already a good defensive team is looking to regroup and get some shutdowns. Titans are looking for a rebound year after a rough season. It won't be easy but with a revamped defense and a new offensive coordinator, the Titans will look to compete again at a high level this season.
Colts hire new Offensive Coordinator; a day late, but hopefully not a dollar short In a division that was once dominated by superstar RBs and run heavy offensive gameplans; however, that is no longer the norm. As are the times, more and more teams are moving to a pass oriented offense, rightfully so. With top talent at the skill positions and top WRs being in a surplus. The Colts have taken a step back to reevaluate where they stand, however. What was once a team trying to find an identity with newly acquired #1 pick, Andrew Luck seems to have settle on a new man to call the shots on offense. A former assistant in the Ravens organization the new OC will bring a more run heavy attack to Indy. Although, the Colts won't forget where the money is, errr... the skill. Andrew Luck. He will get his attempts but they will be more calculated, taking advantage of his athleticism and ability to move around and make a smart decisions. Will this new philosophy pay dividends? Only time will tell.
