Post your recruiting wars in here.

I'll start with one that may lead to future coaching suspensions in After Midnight, the #1 overall recruit in this years class....

That's right folks, a potential QB with 95 SPD. The early Vegas odds on whatever coach gets this kid getting banned from the league by recchem2000 by the end of his first season are at 3-1.

Currently this is shaping up as a 3 horse race between USC, Oregon and Stanford.

why would Stanford want that guy? is Cheez thinking he could play HB?

might be time to buy lockpick and put my hat in the ring for that kid, damn!

Lockpick won't help you - the bottom of the guys board will be more than 2,000 points down by the end of this game week probably.

Since we got held up by the M$ gods last night, I'll post a few more recruiting battles I'm involved in.

:5stars: #3 QB Brock Little from CA

Similar to #1 ATH Jason Harwell, this is another 3 team battle between USC, Oregon and Stanford. bringbackjimmy and Cheez will be basically hoping for a lucky visit commitment, as the Trojans have the advantage in the weekly bonus points over both, about a 400 point lead over both after week 2 and the ability to dump 50 points more than them into the kid each week.

:4stars: #1 G Alonzo Brown out of OK

I've done this dance before I think, competing with CPU Miami for a highly ranked G prospect. At least young Alonzo is smart, as he's looking to escape Oklahoma for someplace closer to water that isn't used for cattle to drink from. His top 3 schools are USC, Miami and recchem2000's UCLA Bruins. The Trojans have a 50 point edge in the bonus points and are said to be dumping the kitchen sink for his services.

:4stars: #1 FS Lorenzo Tucker out of CA

Lorenzo is an elite athlete at the FS position, and he's built like a LB at 6'3" 220lbs. Right now he's looking at USC, UCLA and surprisingly San Diego St. In a familiar refrain, the Trojans look to have the advantage in weekly bonus points and the ability to outspend their competition.

:4stars: #3 CB David Thomas out of Canada

Yep, a canuck may come to the big city. He's currently debating about whether he wants to hang out with easy aspiring "actresses" in Los Angeles or have sex with the cows.....er, "women"....in Wisconsin.

:3stars: #3 K Bobby Wilson out of CA

A battle between USC and Stanford, which is really only happening because both need a K, not because this kid is awesome. Because, well, he's a kicker.

Give it a year or two and he'll be in the mid-80's. Even in the high 70's if you don't throw the ball 30 times a game it should be fine.

If I get him I'm moving to a 5 wide offense, with the main staple being 4 verts followed by a QB sprintout. Is that a problem?

:4stars: DT Jake Roberts, 81 overall , AL - Boise leads Oregon by 30 with the bonus points being just about equal every week. He visited Boise this week vs. TT and visits Eugene next week as the Ducks take on UCLA Colorado

:5stars: ATH Joshua Williams, 80 overall, ID - LSU leads UCLA by 580 and Boise by 835. Easily the best player from Idaho, Boise would love to get him. LSU kitchen sink will probably get him though. He's a WR/DB and would most likely start at corner next year if he chooses us.

MLB Carter has scheduled his 5 visits, and it looks like Baylor is the odd man out. He visits OSU, Tech, TCU, Texas, and SMU in that order starting week 7. SMU currently holds the #1 spot, with Texas 180 back and gaining some ground along with TCU at 210 back.

Also, if you get bumped down below 5th you should lose your visit...... then I could schedule that kid

:4stars: #11 G Tyler Burns - Fresno (345) leads Cal (365) by 195, UCLA (320) by 340 and BYU (295) by 570. Cal should be good with a week 12 visit (as long as he doesn't commit to Fresno week 7) but UCLA has yet to schedule so that could be interesting. Planning on being far enough up by that point for it not to matter.

:3stars: #18 OLB Dan Nunez - Cal leads Stanford by 625 and seems to be pulling away a little bit. Trying to sow it up with an early week 9 visit.

:3stars: #69 WR Larry Harrison - Cal leads Hawaii by 70 and has a substantial points bonus. Very comfortable here. USC and UCLA missed out on this kid.

:3stars: #9 SS Chris Robinson - Stanford has the lead with Nevada down 40 and Cal down 760. Bout to make a push though with a substantial points bonus in the offing and visit to be set next week, likely against Stanford in week 12.

:3stars: #35 T Brad Rogers - Cal has an edge of 420 on Washington but it looks like UW might make a push at him. They haven't offered a schollie yet but if they do he would seriously consider them with their 100 pts bonus. Hoping WGW leaves him alone.

Week 6 is gonna be big for Mr Harwell, as Oregon and bringbackjimmy is making a week 6 visit to try and get an early commitment. The coaches at USC like this as at least we will know early if we are out. If Oregon fails to secure a commitment it's likely that the Trojans real them back in and get a commit in week 14.

Update on MLB Carter. He's at 100% lock and has 7 guys still vying for him. OK State gets the first visit, with SMU coming to Stillwater. SMU could spoil the visit with a win against the Cowboys.

I don't think you'll have to worry, SMU is slowly losing all its recruits with our fine 0-5 record so far. After OK St, we'll still be defeated!

Very pleased to find out that Harwell resisted the urge to spend 9 months a year hiding from the rain in Oregon with bringbackjimmy.

Uh - how do you figure? I'll be reeling you back in every week (more so when I get kitchen sink level 2 this week or next), worst case I'll have a lead by the offseason.
