The score is a lot closer than the game ever was. Bama couldn't do much right in this game. The offense sputtered for the first 3 quarters, throwing 2 picks and never getting the ground game started. QB Greg McElroy was injured and replaced by sophmore Star Jackson, which might have been a blessing in disguise. Jackson led 2 fourth quarter td drives and looked impressive doing it. He will be the week 3 starter. Julio Jones was the lone bright spot, with 9 grabs for 92 yards and a score.

Julio Jones is a beast. My team had safety help on him all game and he still caught 9 passes. There was literally nothing my defense could do to stop him. Only thing we did do was keep him from making any big plays. Bucks also did force a few incomplete passes his direction when McElroy was still in the game.

What a difference a week makes. There wasn't much that didn't work against the Gamecocks. Star Jackson has made the QB position his. He completed 14/20 for 204 yards and 2 td's. He also ran for 40 yards and a score. Mark Ingram was really the star, rushing for 180 yards adn 2 td's. Nice win to open the conference season. Looking forward to Arkansas next week.

The Tide loses this game in a stunner. Bama got out to a 17-3 lead, only to see everything go the Hogs way. Two late interceptions by QB Star Jackson and an inability to stop Ryan Mallet did the Tide in. Mark Ingram had another 100 yard rushing game in the loss.

Big win for the Tide, hopefully the start of winning streak. Big plays by Julio Jones were the difference. Jones caught a slant and took it 67 yards to the 3 yard line, setting up a td run by Terry Grant. Jones also caught a 45 yard td when QB Star Jackson caught the Gators in a blitz with no deep safety. RB Mark Ingram was knocked out of the game in the second quarter, although he did have about 77 yards rushing at the time. Ingram had a big fumble in the first quarter, as the Tide had a first and ten on their own 14, Ingram broke off right tackle and got blown up by the strong safety, who recovered the ball for Florida's first score. RB Terry Grant replaced Ingram, who will be back next week, and finished the game with 2 td's and 94 yards rushing.

The Tide got all it could handle from the Cavaliers, who brought a lot of pressure defense all day long. HB Mark Ingram led the way with about 77 yards, but was knocked out of the game with back spasms. Ingram will miss the next two games, which means he will miss the upcoming game against Tennessee. Awesome!

The Tide brought the hammer in this game. The defense was dominant in this game, holding QB Jevan Snead, who was talking all kinds of smack in the week leading up to this game, to less than 125 yards passing and 3 interceptions. Snead only completed 31% of his passes. Terry Grant filled in for Ingram and was the player of the game, with 132 yards and 3 td's. The Tide turns its attention to next week's matchup with Tennessee. Roll Tide!!

Bama rolled over the Volunteers, racking up almost 300 yards rushing and controlling the clock, with almost 21 minutes time of possession. Running thru huge holes, HB Terry Grant ran for 250 yards and 2 touchdowns. Third string HB Trent Richardson added 2 scores and WR Julio Jones caught 1. The Tide defense was equally dominant, holding the Vols to 119 total yards of offense, with 58 of them coming on a TD run by Bryce Brown during garbage time. The Tide is heading into a bye week and hoping to get HB Mark Ingram healthy for a HUGE match-up in 3 weeks with LSU. Roll Tide!!!

    Good game masler

Bama was able to pull off the upset. The Tide opened the game with a 4:45 minute drive that ended in a field goal. Their defense got a 3 and out and HB Mark Ingram was able to cap a drive off with a 15 yard TD run. Then the Tide defense stepped up. Pinning the Tigers deep in their own territory, Bama was able to pressure QB Jordan Jefferson and got a interception returned about 20 yards for a score, taking a 17-0 lead. Jefferson came out and got redemption on a great option pitch to HB Micheal Ford, who ran about 70 yards for the score, pulling his team to 17-7. Bama went 3 and out, but they got a great punt, again pinning the Tigers deep in their own territory. With less than 2 minutes to go in the half, the Tide came out in a cover 3 zone, and LSU dinked and dunked down the field, inside the Tide's 35 yardline. Then the play of the game, Jordan Jefferson, under heavy pressure, threw another interception at about Bama's 15 yardline. The pick was returned 85 yards for a score. Ingram added another TD in the 3rd quarter and finished the game with 100 yards rushing. Good game Horn, I look forward to our next game.

Great Game man. I couldn't get anything going. You got up early and I had to get away from the run game. Then you had pressure on me every play. I kept seeing guys open, but I was always just a split second late hitting the button. Absolutely dominant. Hopefully I can recover and make a BCS game.

Bama fell behind 7-0, but was able to peel off 35 unanswered points. The defense was again dominant, however, they were never able to force a turnover. HB Mark Ingram was again nearly unstoppable. Ingram ran for 200 on the day, and passed 1000 on the season. With this victory, Bama clinched a spot in the SEC championship game.

    #4 Alabama 48

This game was a little delayed getting started, the team bus for Michigan had trouble starting. Once they got to Bryant-Denny Stadium, they probably wish the bus hadn't started at all. Tate Forcier had trouble telling the white jerseys from the Crimson ones, throwing 6 picks, 3 of which were returned for touchdowns. Mark Ingram was injured during the game, but did return to action.

Michigan had some early success running the ball, but once the turnovers starting mounting it was too much to overcome. Good game Crunch.

Bama has a bye next week and hosts Arkansas in 2 weeks.

Bama rolled into the Swamp with a 14 game winning streak and was able to extend it to 15. QB Star Jackson had one of his finest games, passing for 250 yards and 2 TD's. Julio Jones caught 8 balls for 160 and 2 td's. The Tide defense was too much for the Gators to handle, forcing 2 interceptions and holding the Gators to 15 yards rushing.
