    I have just signed a 4 year contract to Army's Defensive Coordinator. This will be my journey through the coaches ranks trying to get to that big time BCS School.​
    From the advice of I Peench here are the sliders, coach's progression, and difficulty​

    Are you still planning on running this like I did? 2 years at Army, 2 years as D co as a better non-BCS, 2 years as D co of BCS, then whatever head coaching job you can get.

    For reference, my progression using this method so far:
    Year 1: Army defensive coordinator: 4-8
    Year 2: Army defensive coordinator: 7-5 (21st ranked defense)

    Accepted position at BYU
    Year 3: BYU defensive coordinator: 3-0

    It's great. For those following along, this really slows your coach prestige progression down as much as possible. Since job offers are based on that alone, this method makes for a more realistic coaching career. It can be very frustrating though, but that's part of the fun.
