Gentlemen, thanks you all for you cooperation in getting signed up for the online CCM. We are now at capacity and the 12th Man CCM has been advanced to the preseason.

    Free Agency:

At this time you may sign ONLY the free agents your team claimed in the Free Agency Waiver Draft.

You may continue making player releases in the CCM and may now view an updated Free Agency list in the CCM that includes all released players.

    Player Releases:

ALL TEAMS must be at or below the 53 player regular season limit by Sunday night at 11:59PM Eastern. Please keep in mind the Roster Requirements when making your cuts.

    Trades:

Teams can now post trades in the Team Management for approval by the Trade Committee. DO NOT initiate any trades (other than the real NFL trades referenced below) in the CCM until they are approved by the trade committee.

Please reference the Trade Rules for proper trade posting format. Please make note of the fact that OVR ratings for EVERY positional scheme for a traded player must be posted in the trade proposal. The HIGHEST OVR rating assigned to a player is what will be used in considering the player(s) value in a trade.

If you haven't familiarized yourselves with the new trade rules regarding allowable penalty, please do so HERE. Be sure to check out the PENALTY CALCULATOR that I have created, to assist you with determining if a penalty is allowable.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

We do need the following teams to initiate and agree to the following trades in the CCM (as referenced HERE):

Vikings Eazy E send 2013 4th Round Pick - Cardinals thafuture3886 Send CB A.J. Jefferson

Browns Michael Overman Send SS David Sims - Eagles ThaBayouChef Send 2013 7th Round Pick

Bears ferocious Send FB Tyler Clutts - Texans saintsdave75 Send CB Sherrick McManis

Panthers LtJustice Send 2013 7th Round Pick - 49ers Warhawk AKA dreadman Send FS Colin Jones

Seahawks Scikotic Send QB Tavaris Jackson - Bills Broncos218 Send 2013 5th Round Pick

Rams pittrocks43 Send RT Jason Smith - Jets Merenguito Send RT Wayne Hunter

Redskins Casino Send CB Kevin Barnes - Lions WilsT24 Send 2013 5th Round Pick

Dolphins CHUNKNESS Send CB Vontae Davis - Colts cry_havoc Send 2013 2nd Round Pick

    --------------------------------------------------------------

I know everyone is looking forward to getting started, as am I. Let's get what needs to be don out of the way and we can get things going!

Are we allowed to run practices on the CCM?

Wouldn't it be easier to just post the OVR from the practice mode depth chart? You can enter a practice to look at your team's depth chart and quit right away w/o losing your weekly practice, and these ratings are the same as the offline ones (so i'm guessing it's kinda like the player's ovr w/o a scheme attachment). Trying to hunt down 5 or so ovr's for multiple players by changing around your own team's schemes (and waiting for your trade partner to do the same) is time consuming and honestly seems kinda pointless.

If you go to one of the franchise screens it shows you the type of player they are. Use that and you will know what scheme to use the to the determine the highest overall rating. I'm not sure what screen offhand as I don't have my ps3 sry.

But this doesn't always return the highest ovr tho either... for example, my backup FB McIntyre is 62ovr w/ his preferred receiver-runner scheme used, but a 68 w/ balanced. Doesn't posting the practice OVRs kinda seem to be the most "neutral" rating available (and requires the least amt of work)?

That Jets/Rams trade involving Hunter and Smith might be a little skewed without the updated rosters.

I know Smith's contract is ridiculous and Hunter's manageable - the Jets were able to re-negotiate Smith's deal and STL took on some of Smith's contract.

At the end of the day, its a game and we are limited with what we can do. The ship has sailed as far as updated rosters.

I know you're not complaining to us about putting in some work, lol. As of right now we are going with the OVRs from every scheme. As always, if that changes, we will let you know. Thanks guys!

I wasn't talking about waiting around for the updated rosters. I'm just as anxious to get started as the next guy, but I think it's unfair to force the NYJ/STL owners to make that trade.

It's a cap killer for the STL owner. Smith has the contract of a #2 overall pick with a lot of guaranteed money and Hunter has a 1-year deal worth 2.5 million.

We can run a practice for preseason week 1. Just know that once you complete a practice, it is locked for the week. If you just want to try out your team, you can quit before the end of practice and restart as many times as you want.

It's not actually as bad as you might think. Both have 3 years left on their contracts. Smith has the huge contract, Hunter is getting $3M a year for the next 3 years.

    Currently; On the Rams, Smith accounts for $10.17M in 2012, $11.72M in 2013, & $13.73M in 2014. On the Jets, Hunter accounts for $3M in 2012, $3M in 2013, & $3M in 2014.

After the trade; On the Rams, Hunter (and the trade penalty) accounts for $8M in 2012, $13M in 2013, and $3M in 2014. On the Jets, Smith accounts for $5.17M in 2012, $6.72M in 2013, and $8.72M in 2014.

So this isn't all doom and gloom for th Rams owner, he saves cap space in 2012 & 2014. The worst part is the big cap penalty next year may limit his trade opportunities this year.

You guys spoke and we listened. We are scrapping the plan of using the OVRs for EVERY scheme. We will be using the OVR ratings from the practice mode rosters. You simply begin practice and pause it and look at the depth chart, be sure to look at that players native position. Special thanks to Tyler Broncos218 for the idea. Updated info HERE.
