Coming in to their week 3 matchup with the Saints, Dallas CBs C. Mullins and J. McCourty were among the league leaders in INTs. Mullins was actually #1 with 4. Upon completion of their Thursday Night game, they now sit #1 and #2 on the "Most Likely to Steal Your Pass" list, Mullins now with 6 INTs and McCourty with 5. Once again, just as they did in week 1, the pair combined for 4 INTs (2 each) and the solid coverage seems to be rubbing off on their teammates. Backup FS W. Powe and OLB B. Carter got into the act with INTs, Powe's coming in the endzone as he snagged a ball intended for TE J. Graham. Carter also had a forced fumble and a fumble recovery giving the Cowboys 8 turnovers in this game. It simply was too much for New Orleans to overcome.
3 games into the season and the addition of McCourty is looking like the move of the year for this team. Of course, there's no way they can keep this pace up. But for now the team is content to let the defense keep their opponents in check, as they did this week in holding the Saints to 7pts, allowing them to lean on the run game. However, in this game, the Saints' rush DEF proved to be a worthy obstacle. Good thing there isn't a shortage of weapons for QB D. Harvin, who threw for 270yds and 4 TDs, leading Dallas to a 34-7 win.
In week 4 the Saints will host the Buccaneers while Dallas gets an early bye week, something the players are not happy about. "As good as we're playing, we don't want a break. We just want to get back out there and keep this thing rolling", said Mullins.
Will the bye week slow them down? Stay tuned...

    GG Loren!!!
