what's the point of having(positions that have multiple spots on the DC, but under the same list such as WR/DT/CB) seperate schemes if ratings only revert to the 1st spot as in DT1? like brockers is 77 as a run stopper, but 66 in a balanced. if i put run stopper at the #2 spot, but balanced as #1 hes still a 66.
Emmdotfrisk when resigning a player what will his salary depend on? Take Lamarr Houston as an example his 4-3 runstopper rating is 73ovr his balanced 3-4 runstopper rating is 83ovr will his salary be based on these ratings or his production, will his on the field play and tendencies change as well ?
Don't think too much as OVR as the players value, but rather the players value to that team. The salary request is based on age, production, performance, skills, and attributes.
Its very easy to get caught in being able to raise "Overall" given we lived by those in Madden's past. How about trades, when viewing other teams I'm seeing how they are rated on my team, how do I see how my player rank on theirs
the CPU will use OVR to value their players. Honestly, think of OVR as a guide. In past Madden's you could draft a 55 ovr player but for your system he could be a 75. This year it takes into account the type of player you should have at each position. This will help users get players in the right spots, and will help CPU get the players they need to run their system correctly.
When will the CCM site be fully operational? Meaning, the "coming soon" sign going away on the upper right. Also, i shared my game summary on facebook just to see how it looked. It said my team won which is correct, but said I lost when referencing my name. Also, the Rushing leader was incorrect. Just an FYI for the EA folks. Is there an issue with clock acceleration in CCM not working?
Where are the goals? I am in preseason and cannot find them... Do they populate in the regular season?
You should find them if you go over one click. I think they're in the last category of that small "list" or "menu"; or they're above the spot showing the amount of XP you have.
Emmdotfrisk, can you ask Looman, Moore, or anyone any the know if they can release the equation used to calculate OVR for each position and player type?
If Madden is anything like FIFA, Overall is provided to give more casual players a quick and easy way to digest player value. If you look at the lengths and depths they have gone to provide individual rating categories as well as scheme, player type, and traits, it makes overall seems obsolete, doesn't it? It allows "system guys" to find success. Sure does beat just sorting by Speed.
This. OVR is pretty useless to the hardcore guys. It's about finding specific attributes that fit your scheme. I like how overall makes it easier to identify players that might have these attributes by taking scheme into consideration, but that's about all it does.
Emmdotfrisk, if we know how OVR is calculated for each position type, we'll easily know which position types we want based on OVR.
If you look at a player, it tells you what their style is and what scheme they fit best in. I know for sure you can see it in the FA screen, may have to do a bit of exploring for guys on your roster. But usually, if a guy's rating is too high or low to be true (example - D. Sproles and M. Ingram on NO) then it's usually an indicator of them being a perfect fit (Sproles) or not the best fit (Ingram).
Emmdotfrisk did they take the section out where u can look over plays and create highlights.. After game there isnt a option anymore
hey Emmdotfrisk I bet this was covered , but since you are here ...... does XP carry over from one season to the next with players ? Also if it does, if I leave XP on the table for a player and in the offseason he ends up on another team does the player take that XP with him ?
