The Cardinals would get an important 24-10 victory over division rival Jon and his 49ers thanks to a balanced attack on offense and a stingy defense that was in Alex Smith's face all day. John Skelton would throw for almost 200 yards including 2 touchdowns and the combo of Beanie Wells and Ryan Williams would combine for over 100 yards and a touchdown on the ground. On defense, the Cards were able to confuse and pressure Alex Smith all day leading to 8 sacks and 3 interceptions. The Cards welcomed back OLB Obrien Schofield who was leading the team in sacks before going down with an injury and missing 4 weeks. Schofield would return to early season form as he would pressure Smith plenty of times and would finish with 1 sack. The Cards also welcomed back TE Todd Heap after missing a couple weeks and he would finish the day with 2 receptions. Next up the Cards will travel to Green Bay to face super QB Aaron Rodgers and his high powered offense.
