Updated. SS D. Morris was not signed as you are out of cap space. Please let me know if you would like to revise your list.

Also, be sure to include the players ages next time.

These guys are on my spreadsheet, but were never on my roster on the console when I joined the league.

    WR D. Reed
    TE D. Pitta

I guess I should have put them in the 'drop' column during FA. That will free up $2. I also have a ROLB D. Ivory (83 OVR) whom I neither dropped nor re-signed, as he was signed in season 2 and I assumed a 3 year contract for him as he was a rookie. I can't view the old state of the spreadsheet so I'm not sure if he was ever on there.

What to do about that ROLB? He will probably push me over the cap; when the sheet was updated and reflected the new cap I had to work with, I assumed he was included and I'm just now realizing he isn't on there.

    Signed:
    TE E. Hudson, 57 OVR, 22 years old (+ $1)
    LG E. Williams, 61 OVR, 25 years old (+$2)
    LG L. Heal, 46 OVR, 23 years old ($0)
    C J. Bortles, 69 OVR, 24 yers old (+$3)
    RG C. Chester, 78 OVR, 29 years old (+$6)
    RG W. Love, 53 OVR, 23 years old (+$0)
    DT R. Storey, 53 OVR, 23 years old (+$0)
    DT A. Ball, 42 OVR, 23 years old (+$0)
    SS D. Morris, 69 OVR, 22 years old (+$2)

So this puts me $12 over the cap. It will go up once you can determine the value of D. Ivory's initial contract. I will work on dropping some guys and getting it under the cap. Sorry for the cluster fuck, I will get better at this. :)

    @Keller

This is all based upon the assumption that D. Ivory signed a $4 contract as a rookie. That would put me $16 above the cap with all the above signings.

To free up some cap space, I am NOT resigning/signing:

    FB L. McClain (-$6)
    WR R. Wallace (-$3)
    MLB T. Gooden (-$4)
    MLB D. Ellerbe (-$4)
    LG E. Williams (-$2)
    C J. Bortles (-$3)
    TE E. Hudson (-$1)

    Leaves: $8 cap

    Signings:
    FB N. Tahi 77 OVR 31 years old (+$3)
    RG A. Thomas 56 OVR 23 years old (+$0)
    C N. Williams 55 OVR 24 years old (+$0)
    TE T. Heap 83 OVR 32 years old (+$5)

You forgot to remove WR D. Reed and TE D. Pitta, they were never on my roster on the console. I never managed them. Thanks for maintaining this btw.

That should free up $7, and with that free cap space, I am signing my last FA of the year:
MLB D. Jackson 85 OVR 28 years old

Right but those guys should be on your console roster. Either cut them or pick them up from FA.

By cutting them, you accept the penalties involved with cutting a player still under contract. The penalty is that you must pay the player half of his salary for the remainder of his contract. In the case of Pitta, it didn't matter because he retired. All retired contracts come off your cap. However, in the case of Reed, it does matter. Half of Reed's contract stays on the books, putting you over the cap by .5

How would you like to handle this @fuzzyl0gic ? You can either reconsider the signing of D. Jackson or cut someone else.

    Ravens give up:
LB Terrell Suggs 86 overall A potential? age 29

    Falcons give up:
CB Sean Smith 82 overall B potential age 26
    2nd Round Pick

I believe this leaves me -4.5 under the cap, with D. Jackson signed.
