    Celtics 79 - 76ers 63

Tough game for Philly. We started out on like a 13-2 run but Philly hung tough and even had a lead in the 3rd quarter. The C's exploded for 28 4th qtr points to take the game 79-63

We shot 48% from the field while Philly shot 34%. We shot 48% even going 2/17 from 3. Had we hit half of those (like we usually do) It might not have been as close as it was for a while.

The 6er bench completely broke my 2nd team off, outscoring them 22-6....I gotta find some ball players for my 2nd team...you know, guys like Jeff Green and Mikel Pietrus (spelling?)

Boston's POTG was Paul Pierce. He faked no injuries and scored 30 with 5 boards and 3 ast.

We had 4 scorers in double figures including the big 3 and Rondo. Garnett went 16 and 12 even though he wasn't shooting for dick most of the game.

The 76ers had two scorers in double figures, Evan Truner and Jrue Holiday who had 11 each.

gg @pagamer tough to win when your guys go on such long dry spells. But I give you alot of credit. It looked like I was going to blow your doors off and you kept it very tight for 3 quarters.

    Spurs 82 - Celtics 80 (OT)

This game was not for us to win. We had a 5 pt lead late and the spurs tied it with a few minutes left. The final 2 -3 minutes of this game were trading baskets. I'd hit one then they'd hit one. All the way down to the final buzzer. In OT they jumped out to a 5 pt lead and we started going back and forth again.

At the end we were down 2 with 1.2 seconds left. We in bounded to Ray Allen who drilled the game winning 3!

Only to have it waved off by the refs. :(

Wade Leads Heat in blowout win over Spurs 90-75

The Heat looked to get off to a fast start after losing ont he final shot to the Mavs in their last game. Many trade rumors were swirling about breaking up the big 3 with Wade speculation of trade talks. It didnt seem to bother him as he scorched the Spurs for 26 points in the 1str half as the Heat Jumped out to a 14 point halftime lead. Lebron would come on in the 2nd half as he finished with 30 points and 11 boards to go with Wade's 38 points and 7 boards as the Spurs were outmatched from the start. Chalmers also showed why the Heat decided to stick with him at PG as he came away with 5 steals, 8 assists and 11 points. Tim DUncan finished with 17 points as he was the lone bright spot for the Spurs.

    OKC - 101
    MEM - 104

OKC was down late in the third but rallied to make it close in the 4th. memphis was inbounding the ball with 4 seconds left and the Thunder attempted a quick foul, however OJ Mayo was too quick to be fouled and he hit the tying jumper to send it to OT.

In the OT, the Thunder fell behind by 6 with 10 seconds left when KD drilled a 3 pointer to get within 3. OJ Mayo missed both FTs and Durant rebounded the ball with 5.4 seconds left, sprinted to the top of the key and........missed a wide open 3 that could have tied the game.

OKC now falls to 2-2 and after the two great wins against San Antonio and Atlanta, the Thunder are left shaking their heads and licking their wounds...

    LAC 85
    DET 74

The Pistons just would not go away in this one, every time I'd get a 4-5 point lead Stuckey would do some crazy suit in the lane to pull it close. Eventually some 3's fell in the 4th and the stuckey magic died. LA was paced by Blakes 36/13 and Pauls 16/6/9. DeAndre added 4 blocks on the defensive end.

    ATL - 83

A tough battle throughout, however late in the 3rd, Daequan cook caught on absolute FIRE and drilled 3 straight three-pointers in consecutive possessions to put the Thunder ahead by 11. The Thunder would hold off the Hawks in the 4th, as the crowd chanted "MVP" at Kevin Durant as he put the game out of reach from the FT line.

    Westbrook - 20/5/5
    Durant - 31/6

    Timberwolves 22 21 24 25 92

    Pacers:
Paul George: 17 Points, 6-7 shooting
Danny Granger: 15 Points, 12 Rebounds, 3 blocks
Roy Hibbert: 17 Points, 2 Blocks
Darren Collison: 14 Points, 11 Assists

    T-Wolves:
Michael Beasley: 25 Points, 9 Rebounds
Luke Ridnour: 18 points, 8 Assists
    Webster: 14 points, 5 rebounds

Pacers were extremely balanced in their attack today, with 5 players scoring over 10 points, and 29 assists in the game. The Pacers were ahead most of the game, but then the T-Wolves made a furious comeback and tied the game. The Pacers finished out the final 5 minutes of the game with great energy. Indiana dominated with 33 fast break points compared to Minnesota's 12. Pacers shot 55% on the day.

Luke Ridnour 15 PTS, 3 REB, 7 AST
Kevin Love 4 PTS, 10 REB, 5 AST

The Knicks blow out the T-Wolves on the road 80-66, but their win comes at a price. All-NBA Small Forward Carmelo Anthony scored a quick 5 points in the opening 3 minutes, but went down in a heap with a strained back. He will miss the next 3 games.

Amare picked up the slack going for a cool 29 and 10, before sitting most of the 4th quarter. Baron Davis assumed all playmaking duties and ran the offense efficiently scoring 6, but also dishing out 14 helpers. Toney Douglas went loco off the bench pouring in 18 PTS in 16 minutes.

The Thunder led by as many as 22 in the 4th quarter but as the subs came in, that lead turned into an 8 point win. Wesbrook and Durant each poured in 20 and shot relatively well. The story of the game was the possible emergence of Rookie Point Guard Reggie Jackson, from Boston College. In his 11 minutes of action, he scored 9 points and dished out two SPECTACULAR assists. One an alley oop from half court to Serge Ibaka, and another on a wrap around pass in the paint out of a lay-up to Kendrick Perkins.

We will see how he develops, but Nate Robinson has GOT to be worried about his minutes going forward. The Thunder welcome in the Toronto Raptors this weekend. (I am a combined 1-6 against the Raptors in this game as the Thunder)...W.T.F.

Rip Hamilton and Derrick Rose both scored 32 in a rout of the Indiana Pacers. The Bulls shot 61% from three, and absolutely dominated on the offensive boards this game. Rose also hit a 5/6th court shot at the end of the 3rd quarter which really let the air out of the Pacers, and hurt them.

Indiana needs to work on defense before they take on any users, as they will get torn up. Hibbert led them with 21 points, followed by an injured Danny Granger with 18 points. Once again a very balance attack, as they had 6 players score in double digits, and two very close. Collison dished out 10 assists to lead the team.

This game was close for 3 quarters, but that seems to be the trend with me. I got out scored 28-12 in the 4th quarter. Kaman went off for 24 and 12 and Trevor Ariza had 18 points on 4/9 from 3 point range.

Dwight Howard led the Magic with 16 points.

New season, same results. Offensively we couldn't hit any shots and shot less than 35% from the field. Igoudala had 16 pts, 4 reb, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block but really struggled shooting. Evan Turner had a great game going 16/9/2 and Elton Brand had a double double, with 14 points and 10 boards. Player of the game was Steve Nash who was unstoppable. 24 points, 8 boards, 5 assists.

Have you tried Speights mid range game ? He is pretty nasty from 10-14 feet IMO , can really open in up for Brand down low or Iggy w/pick & roll

Philly just couldn't get anything to fall consistently. Boston on the other hand shot 47% from the field and lead the game in every offensive category.

Pierce led all scorers with a lack luster 18 pts but Rondo and Garnett were the stars tonight.

    Rondo had 17 , 7 reb, 6 ast, and 5 steals while Garnett chipped in 14 & 13 with 3 steals.

Dude....tough game. Hopefully what we talked about after the game helps.

    Heat: 103
    Mavs: 96

The Heat jumped out to a double digit lead in the 1st period led by Dwayne Wade who got hot early. The Mavs however would come back down by as many as 14 thanks to Dirk Nowitski who was 13/17 from the field with 26 points as the Mavs took the lead midway through the 4th. The Heat called timeout and called up Dwayne Wade once again as the Heat went on a 10-2 run in the final 2 minutes to take down the Mavs 103-96. Dwayne Wade led all with 48 points 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Lebron added 32 points of his own while Chalmers hit some big shots with 10 points 9 assists and 3 steals. Miamiw ill now play another top Western Conference opponent in Tim Duncan and the Spurs

Finally. It took OT and some coaching from BDSDIGITAL to pull this one out, but we get our first victory in the Baseline. Elton Brand was the man in this one with 23 points and 7 boards. Jrue Holiday had 6 steals and played great defense. We had leads of 11 and 9 and somehow let the pistons back in the game both times. Igoudala hit the game winning 3 pointer (his only on the day) with 4 seconds left in OT to seal the win. For the Pistons, we kept them in check most of the game, but the 2nd half was the Ben Gordon show as he scored all 14 of his points in the 2nd half and OT.

The Miami Heat traveled to San Anotnio to take on one of the leages best defensive teams despite their aging stars. It didnt look good for the Heat in the 1st half as they trailed by as many as 10 points where Wade had an off night after exploding in Dallas on 9/26 from the floor. Lebron James and Mario Chalmers helped the Heat get back into it as they outscored the Spurs 23-13 in the 4th to give the Heat the win. CHalmers had a double double with 12 points,10 assists, and 3 steals while Lebron led the way with 29 points and 8 boards. The Heat move to 2-0 as they look forward to a division showdown against ryalaman and the Wizards Thursday night

    Bittersweet Win in Cavs Opener

Cavs win, but lose Irving for 5 days

    Pacers 81
    CAVS 87

Cleveland, OH: After a horrible third quarter the Cavs would outscore the Pacers 24-11 to win a hard-fought battle at the Q. The difference of the game being the Cavs second chance points, outscoring Indiana 20-2. Andy Varejao had a big had in that collecting 4 Offensive Rebounds and finished with 10 boards total. "Andy was huge on the glass for us tonight. Anytime you can win the battle on the glass and second chance points, you should win," Coach Byron Scott said after the game. Danny Granger led the way for the Pacers going for 19 points on 7 of 15 shooting going 5-10 from behind the arc. GG makinpropel

Game Notes: Number one overall draft pick Kyrie Irving had to be helped off the court after twisting his ankle trying to grab a rebound which he was ultimately whistled for goaltending. Early reports have him listed as Day-To-Day.
