In the first matchup between Kemba Walker and Kyrie Irving in NBA2K13 it was Kemba and his Bobcats pulling out the narrow win to get Charlotte's first win of the season. Kemba shot poorly (3-16) finishing with an ok stat line of 6 points 5 rebounds and 6 assist on the night while his counter part Kyrie Irving went (6-16) and ended with 17 points which led the Cavs in scoring. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Ben Gordon were huge in the win as MKG finished with 17 and Gordon added 15 off the bench but the game came down to the last play of the game as Kyrie was doubled but was able to get out of it and he had probably his best look of the game but it went begging off the back iron as time expired. GG JFace907 I look forward to round 2 of Kemba/Kyrie.

After getting there first win of the season Charlotte played host to the Utah Jazz and the Bobcats would snag here 2nd win of the season behind Ben Gordon, Kemba Walker, and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Kemba played his best game of the season recording a double double with 25 points on 10-14 shooting and 12 assists while MKG almost recorded his first career double double just coming up 1 rebound short finishing with 22 points 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Ben Gordon is making a strong case for the 6th man of the year early in the season as he had a field day with the Utah defense as he scored 28 points and was able to knock down 5 from beyond the arc.

    Rockets - 95
    Mavs - 62

The Rockets continued to play great defensive basketball as they won the 4th game in 5 nights. The defense was suffocating and the boo-birds were out early at the AAC. Especially for poor OJ Mayo who finished with 4 points on 1-19 shooting(!!!). Jeremy Lin led the charge on offense, dishing out 13 more assists and scoring 14 points. Kevin Martin had an off night but was still able to put 20 points in.

    Lin - 14/5/13
    Martin - 20 points
    Lamb - 20 points, 7 boards
    Asik - 4 points, 13 boards, 2 blocks
    Parsons - 12 points, 8 boards

    Brooklyn- 98
    Portland-88
This game was close through three quarters. The Nets trailed by one entering the final quarter, but outscored the Trailblazers 29-18 in the fourth. Deron Williams led the team with 30.

    Brooklyn- 99
    Charlotte- 75
This game got ugly real quick. Brooklyn outscored the Bobcats 32-12 in the first quarter and never looked back. Joe Johnson led the team with 18 points. 5 Nets were in double figures and everyone scored. Gerald Wallace welcomed Michael Kidd-Gilchrist to the league by dunking in his grill.

    Brooklyn- 96
    New Orleans- 85
This was another close game for most of the game, until the Nets went on a run late to extend the lead to double figures. Joe Johnson led the team with 29 points and made several big shots late to seal the game.

    Must See TV
In a game of runs, the Cavs sprint to a win

Cleveland, OH: GMs BBJ and JFace have had many sparring battles in recent years, but they can't help but acknowledge their teams put on a whale of a show last night. Both display plenty of youth and athleticism and gave the Quicken Loans Arena crowd the best show on the hardwood. Terrence Williams of the Blazers confused the game for a dunk contest and Kyrie Irving confused the game for the skills competition. "It was a show. We can't get wrapped up in that though. We came away with the victory, but we did far too much wrong. We must learn from the mistakes. No one should get into the paint as easily as Williams and Batum did. They are great players, but we have got to play better," said Cavs Head Coach Byron Scott. As far as Kyrie, he was dropping dimes and setting up spot up shooters all game long finishing the game with 12 assists. Jon Leuer benefitted the most from Kyrie's assists going for 14 points on 5 of 11 shooting including 1 from shot from behind the arc. As far as Uncle Drew's scoring, Kyrie was doing ok in the first three quarters with 15 points, but checking in with about 5 minutes remaining, Kyrie Irving was ready to put on a scoring show. In those 5 minutes Kyrie would score 16 points, putting the team on his back for the crucial victory for the Cavaliers. "I really can't explain it. I want the ball late in the game and so far this year the ball is going in the net," said Irving. Great game bringbackjimmy

    Stats

    Blazers:
Nic Batum 21 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast
Terrence Williams 18 pts, 3 reb, 2 ast
Damian Lillard 16 pts, 3 reb, 7 ast

    Cavs:
Kyrie Irving 31 pts, 12 ast, 3 reb
Alonzo Gee 19 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast
Jon Leuer 14 pts, 2 reb, 2 blk

    Getting caught up again....

    Chi 107
    Jazz 69

The Jazz are really not good. Bulls were led by the Booz (32 and 7) and Rose (29 and 9).

    Chi 83, Cle 79

This was a game where the Cavs outplayed the Bulls for 3 quarters, but DRose kept Chicago in the game and made enough plays down the stretch to pull out the road W. Derrick had 31 and 6, out scoring Kyrie by 8. Good game JFace907.

    Chi 95, LAL 88

Chicago controlled the game for the most part but could never really put the Lakers away. Rose had 23 and 10 and Booz/Noah both had double/doubles for the first time this year. Kobe was huge for LA with 35 points. Good game recchem2000.

    SA 100, Chi 96

The Spurs just took it to the Bulls in this one, especially on the offensive glass with 21 offensive rebounds. The lack of rebounding wasted a good defensive effort by Chicago and big games by Booz (30 and 8) and Rose (27 and 12).

    Chi 96, Phi 88

Similar to the game with Cle, the Bulls were outplayed for much of this game, but we're able to tighten up the D in the 2nd half and get the win. The Bulls were led again by Booz/Rose, but 12 points off the bench by Barbosa were huge. Good game PAgamer07.

    Chi 98, Min 81

The Wolves were never really in this one, and the bulls cruised to an easy victory. There was balanced scoring with only Rose going over 20.

    Nuggets - 80

The Suns head into Denver and get a huge win on a late basket by Michael Beasley. Beasley had an off night, shooting 30% and only scoring 9, but he showed up when it mattered, scoring two huge baskets in the last few minutes. The team was led by Goran Dragic tonight though, as he went for 19 points while going 3-5 from downtown. Wesley Johnson and Rudy Fernandez were key off of the bench as well, scoring 15 and 11 repectively.

    Stats:

    Suns
    Goran Dragic - 19 pts, 3 reb, 3 ast
    Wesley Johnson - 15 pts, 3 reb
    Rudy Fernandez - 11 pts, 4 reb
    Demar DeRozan - 11 pts
    Michael Beasley - 9 pts, 6 reb
    Kendall Marshall - 6 pts, 4 ast

    Nuggets
    Andre Iguodala - 30 pts, 3 ast
    Ty Lawson - 19 pts
    Johnny Flynn - 10 pts
    Wilson Chandler - 10 pts
    Danilo Gallinari - 9 pts, 4 reb
    Evan Fournier - 2 pts, 4 reb
    Kenneth Faried - 0 pts, 9 reb

Gg man, I really have to get better at user defense. That's what killed me all game letting you get open shots and of course that gw shot by Beasley. First person to really lock up Ty Lawson, you earned this win, forced me to change my gameplan

Where Amazing Happens? I Think So
Two buzzer beaters and two overtimes later, Cavs come up with huge road win led by Kyrie's career high

Portland, OR: We didn't think the Cavs and Blazers could top their epic matchup back in Cleveland, but they certainly did last night. The Trail Blazers led most of the game and seemed to be cruising their way to victory until Kyrie Irving entered the game with just over 7 minutes to play. Kyrie would go on to score 20+ points int he fourth to give the Cavs the lead however it wasn't enough. Down 3 with 10 seconds to go the Blazers called a 3 point play for Nic Batum, Alonzo Gee closed out Batum to force the miss but no one boxed out Wes Matthews as he corralled the offensive rebound to find Batum open for a second chance. This time no one was there and Batum buried it as the clock hit zero. With all the momentum the Blazers went into overtime looking to put away the Cavaliers and their second year point guard, however as always, Kyrie wasn't ready to take a loss. The Cavs drew up a play down 3 to get Troy Murphy an open 3 point shot off of a pick and pop but the Blazers defended it wonderfully. Kyrie was forced to chuck up a last second heave with 0.43 seconds left on the clock and he BURIED it! The refs had to take a second look at it to make sure, but the ball certainly left Irving's hand in time to force overtime #2. In the second OT the Cavaliers took over spreading the wealth with Alonzo Gee actually scoring most of the points. However, Kyrie's 4th quarter and overtime performance will not soon be forgotten as he scored 43 points in crunchtime and finished with 56 on the day. Great game bringbackjimmy

    Stats

    Cavs:
Kyrie Irving 56 pts, 9 ast, 5 reb
Dion Waiters 20 pts, 2 ast, 5 reb
Alonzo Gee 18 pts, 6 ast, 5 reb

Clippers and Lakers had a fantastic game last night, will add more later this afternoon/evening. This should be a fun rivalry if the games go down to the wire like that every time!

    Lakers----15--22--24--27--9--97
    Clippers----25--19--18--26--16--104

LA rivalry has formed. The Clippers took a 44-37 lead into halftime and then the Kobe show started to become a little bit more featured. He finished with 32 points and was the key in forcing OT for the Lake show. On the other side, CP3 was relatively quiet through three quarters of play but a strong fourth and OT pushed the Clippers through for the victory. He finished with 22 points, one behind Griffin, along with 15 assists. DeAndre Jordan led the team in rebounds with 8 along with 8 points and Matt Barnes provided 7 boards himself and played excellent D.

The teams will play again down the road on March 8, with the Lakers court behind featured in the Staples Center. Good game recchem2000 can't wait to do it again!
