The Warriors flat out didn't show up in this one, especially on the defensive end (allowed Hornets to shoot 53%) and on the glass (Hornets outrebounded GS by 14). The continuing issue of Curry being the only guy to score consistently in CPU games is becoming a real issue....

The Knicks blow past the CP3-less Clippers in the 2nd half to seal a 98-76 win on the road. Down only 5 at the half, the Clippers struggled for buckets in the 3rd and 4th frames. New York were uncharacteristically crushed on the glass, but were especially careful taking care of the ball against Clips who force the most turnovers in the league. New York had 7 different players score in double figures and kept LA guessing.

    A few catchup posts

    POR 88
    NYK 106

New York took care of business against the streaking Blazers 106-88 in MSG. Nic Batum went apeshit in the 2nd half, scoring all 21 of his points after the break. J Smoove added 18 and 6, but it wasnt enough as Melo poured in 35 and Baron Davis ran the show getting 12 pts to go along with 15 helpers.

    GG BBKKK

    NYK 116
    TOR 109

New York needed OT to escape their neighbors to the North, beating Toronoto 116-109. The Knicks had no answer for the NBA's leading scorer, Demar DoRozan who scored 42. But Melo was just as potent going off for 44 points to go along with 14 boards. New York had 6 players hit double figures and clamped down on D in the OT period to preserve the win.

    GG JR

    NYK 121
    MIN 108

In a game short on defense, New York pulled away on the road with 35 points in the 4th qtr. Rubio did his thing, getting into the paint at will and finished with 27 pts, 4 boards, and 9 assists. Beasley was second in command scoring 16 with 6 rebounds. The Knicks again got contributions across the board with 6 players in double figures. Anthony led with 30 points, 5 reb, 5 ast. Amare challenged K-Love offensively and went for 25 and 8 of his own. Baron had another efficient game, scoring 15 to go with 10 assists and only a single turnover.

    GG Makin

    NYK 100
    PHI 82

In a game where PHI just couldnt find a rhythm, New York cruised to a 100-82 road win over the 6ers. The 6ers problem was apparent, as they were really hurting on the glass. Iguadala scored 20 to lead the 6ers while Amare's 20 pts and 18 rebounds paced the Knicks. Baron Davis' 13 assists made up his low scoring output of 7.

    GG PAG

    UTA 89
    NYK 90

New York had no business winning this game, as they were down 14 in the 3rd quarter. Through a furious comeback and some bad luck for the Jazz, New York squeaked out a 1 point victory. Face and I experienced a glitch in about the final 2 minutes of the game where neither team could see the basketball, and we were literally making passes we could not see and throwing up prayers and hoping they went it. No matter how many pauses or timeouts, we could not get the ball to reappear. Unfortunately for the Jazz, New York scored last to steal the win.

    GG Face

    WAS 107
    NYK 110

John "Ham" Wall lived up to his namesake, lighting up the Knicks for 40 to go with 14 dimes. Nick Young foudn his stroke as well dropping in 26, but the Wizards didnt get alot of contributions from anyone else and ultimately fell at home. The Knicks were led by Landry Fields' 27 points and Amare's 18 and 13.

Big night last night for the Boys from the Bay with 2 road W's.....

    GS 101
    OKC 76

Huge matchup in Oklahoma City of the top 2 teams in the West....The game opened a bit slowly for both teams and the shooting was sketchy. The Warriors were led in the first half by Monta Ellis and Tyrus Thomas, and they got a huge lift from Brendan Haywood who pulled in 10 boards coming off the bench. The game was really decided by the fact that Golden St's shooting recovered a bit in the 2nd half but the 3 stars for the Thunder really couldn't get anything going, as the team shot under 40% on the day. Russell Westbrook did the best job anyones done of holding down Steph Curry in a user game, holding him to 11-30 from the field, but the other Warriors picked up the slack on this night. Good game Mike E.

    GS 86
    DEN 70

The Warriors finally shot the ball well against a CPU team, and I think it helped that I tried very hard in this one to feed the ball more to Ellis. Also, rookie Klay Thompson had the best game of his career, scoring 25 points in 21 minutes.

These 2 wins put Golden St at 24-9, 1.5 games up on OKC for first in the West. Although that isn't going to last, as I have a sure sim loss coming to Miami while I'm at work today.

The 76'ers somehow beat a team with a winning record. It hasn't been often, especially a user no less, but we got it done tonight. We came out scorching hot, scoring 30 points in the 1st quarter and never looked back. It was a pretty balanced effort, and although Iggy scored 27, he took a backseat at times to Brand and Lou Williams. Both of which took over at key times in the game to keep us comfortably ahead. For Orlando, they could never really get going until it was too late. The final quarter saw them finally hit the 3 ball more frequently as they scored 33 points. We held them off though, and ended up winning by 14.

Our bench played stellar with Thaddeus Young and Lou Williams leading the way, and we outscored the Orlando bench 39 to 30. In addition, we racked up our highest rebounding total all year and dominated on the glass with 51 rebounds to Orlando's 43. Orlando shot a whopping 31 3 pointers only hitting 32%, we took limited shots from beyond the arc (11) but hit 45%. On the night we shot at 51% from the field to Orlando's 42%. Stuckey was cold all night, and was the difference in this one.

Break up the Sixers. We just won 3 in a row! We led by 15 at one point, but the Nets came storming back behind Marshawn Brooks' 22 points and Darren Williams 21 points. Once again though, our defense was too much. Igoudala had a great game with 27 points, 6 boards, 2 assists and 4 steal. Thaddeus Young is finally finding his groove after being shopped around and was second in scoring with 17 and 6 boards with a block thrown in. Lou Williams continues his hot play off the bench scoring 12 points in 15 minutes. Even with Evan Turner injured, I was very happy with our performance and hopefully we can keep it going.

Ugly game by both teams, with each shooting around 41% from the field. Nash had a chance to win the game on two occasions with a 3 but failed to convert. No real winner in this one though, as the warriors would lose monta to an injury for 3 games. Good game anyway BDSDIGITAL.

T-Wolves beat the Nets by like 18 behind a Wolves Season high 38 from Beasley, but the second that game became final my power went out for 2 hours. Don't know if they game counted or not. I doubt it.

    OKC - 119
    CHA - 86

The Bobcats took a 29-26 point lead into the second quarter. However that's when everything started falling apart for the 'Cats. James Harden absolutely ERUPTED in the second quarter, scoring 22 points and helping the Thunder score 42 for the quarter. At this point, it was too much for the young cats to handle as the THnder put this one to bed early.
    gg ZCar352

    Harden - 26 points
    Durant - 20 points
    Westbrook - 25 points

    OKC - 92
    MIL - 79

THe THunder jumped out to a big lead early and led by as many as 30 until the backups came in and let the gap close. Russell Westbrook had his finest game of the season scoring 18 points, dishing out 15 dimes and swiping 9 balls fromt he young Bucks backcourt.

    Westbrook - 18-15-9
    Durant - 25 points
    Ibaka - 11 points, 9 boards

    OKC - 92
    CLE - 83

The Cavs would not go away in this one. Kevin Durant however, proved to be too much for the Cavs to handle as he scored 34. Harden put in 22 and Westbrook had another great night at the point. Cleveland could not get stops down the stretch and allowed the THunder to pull away in this one.

    Durant - 34-6
    Harden - 22 points
    Westbrook - 14 points, 8 dimes, 5 steals
    Ibaka - 10 points, 7 boards, 4 blocks

Oklahoma city now sits one game back of the red hot Warriors in the west with a 25-10 record. THey enter a stretch where they play 8 users in a short span. This stretch will show if the Thunder truly are ready for the big time.

    Team Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 F
    Bulls 29 21 27 24 101
    Trail Blazers 16 29 14 34 93

It looked like the Bulls were going to run away with it, taking an 18 point lead into the 4th quarter, but the Blazers made a hell of a comeback and even brought it to within 2 on the back of some zone D, and Nicolas Batum. The zone really gave us fits, as it didn't allow us to go inside to Hibbert nearly as often as we'd like, and our shooters were just cold from outside. Once the Blazers were within 2, they switched back to man and we were able to open up a bit of a lead again, and the Blazers would fall just short. Batum went for 37 points on 15/28 shooting, and Aldridge and Smith both chipped in 18. Hibbert and Rose both had 21 to lead the way for the Bulls. But the 2 big stories were Terrico White and Carlos Boozer. White, having just flown into the Windy City after being signed by the Bulls earlier that day, scored 16 points in 16 minutes and really provided a spark for us off the bench. Boozer pulled down 21 boards and added 15 points, in easily his best game of the season. His prowess on the glass kept quite a few possessions alive and only gave the dangerous shooters of Portland one chance. His performance was especially impressive given the size Portland has across the board. Good game bringbackjimmy

Two nice road wins without the injured Monta Ellis for the Warriors. The keys to the win were the defense and some balanced contributions from the Warrior bench. Against Memphis, the bench was led by rookie Klay Thompson, who poured in 28 points on 12-14 from the field. Vs the Hawks, Roddy Beaubois stepped in for Ellis and scored 14 points with 4 boards and 5 dimes. Steph Curry averaged 28 points, 3 boards and 6 assists in the 2 games, and hit 13 three point FG's in the wins.

    Bulls - Thunder Double-Header!!

    Game 1

    OKC - 105
    CHI - 84

This one was close in the first quarter as the Bulls put up a great fight in Oklahoma City until The Durantula took over. Kevin Durant was a stud all night scoring his normal 30-odd points, but a more determined effort on the glass yielded 16 boards for the All-Star Forward. The Thunder pulled away late in the 2nd quarter, then jumped all over the Bulls in the 2nd half. gg Timpegoose

    Durant - 33 points, 16 Boards
    Ibaka - 16 points, 9 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals, 5 blocks

    Rose - 21 points, 9 Assists

    Game 2

    OKC - 109
    CHI - 98

All game long, the Bulls dominated this one. Derrick Rose was on fire and Rip HAM-ilton was lighting it up as well. For the Thunder, Russell Westbrook started poorly at 2-10 shooting. Luckily, James Harden was there to keep the game from getting out of hand. Down 82-72 near the end of the 3rd and starting the 4th, it looked as if the Bulls would walk away with this one at the United Center. However an unlikely scorer emerged for the Thunder while James Harden was on the bench. Daquan Cook came up HUGE, scoring 8 points in a hurry to pull the Thunder within 4. Kevin Durant then took things over and Russell Westbrook found his groove and the Thunder went on a 20-6 run to take this game from the Bulls.

    gg Timpegoose

    Durant - 32 points, 8 boards
Harden - 28 points (career high)
    Westbrook - 23 points, 10 assists
    Cook - 14 points

    Derrick Rose - 32 points, 8 boards, 5 assists
    Rip Hamilton - 23 points, 4 boards, 3 assists

Not sure if anyone is even doing CPU game summaries anymore, but.....

    GS 84
    ATL 73

After 2 games against the Hawks in the last couple of weeks, I can confirm they stink on ice since the trade with Portland. Gerald Wallace sits on the perimeter and is not aggressive at all, and the only guy on their roster you have to worry about is Joe Johnson. This game was never in doubt and the margin was 20-25 points for most of the 2nd half until garbage time in the last 5 minutes. Steph Curry led the way with 24 points, 5 boards, 8 assists and 5 3-pointers.

I played them last night too and they were awful.

We fucked up assuming that they would slide Horford to the 4 and start Camby. Instead they have some 59 OVR turd at the 4 and Camby coming off the bench. :(

We as a league may need to rethink how CPU/user trades are analyzed next season. The two biggest CPU/user trades this year that I can think of have killed the CPU team:

ATL/POR - ATL went from a middle of the pack playoff team to 3 games out of the 8th seed since the trade.
SAS/UTA - SAS has been flat out horrific since the trade of Jefferson for Kanter (since they are starting Kawhi Leonard at the 3 and he can't score), and they are now 6 games under .500 and completely out of the playoffs. I'm fairly certain that they were solidly in the playoff hunt when that trade happened.

Both those deals now really look like the users raped the CPU. If I recall the reasoning on some of those may have involved young players/cap space, but let's be real, we'll play maybe 1-2 more full seasons so none of that will help the CPU. I think CPU trades should center more on what can help the CPU team in the short term to keep them competitive rather than long term implications. But that's just me....

Finally got my internet to work for a couple hours.

    T-wolves: 89
    Nets: 83

Minny got Derron Williams out of the game for the first 3 quarters of the game because he was in foul trouble, but in the 4th quarter he went off. His explosion of 16 points in the 4th quarter was not good enough, as Minny was too far out in front. Kevin Love got a triple double in the game, I don't remember the stats but I believe it was like 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Beasley scored 26 points.

    T-wolves: 100
    Grizzlies: 81

Kevin Love was absolutely dominant in this game, scoring 36 points and shooting over 60% on the game. Love also had 11 rebounds on the game. New Timberwolf from the Grizzlies, Tony Allen, shut down O.J. Mayo, so other than Rudy Gay, no one else really stood out and played well.

    Washington 127
    LA Clippers 114

A really fast paced game. Washington always likes to push it and the Clippers were more than happy to oblige by taking a bunch of pull up transition 3s early in the shot clock. CP3 was a disruptive defensive presence at times (forcing 10 Wall turnovers), but his gambling also led to a lot of easy looks for Washington when Wall was able to keep the ball. The win also puts the Wiz in a tie for 7th in the east with the Magic.

    Washington stats:
John Wall- 32 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists (10 turnovers)
Nick Young- 24 points, 5 assists
JaVale McGee- 23 points, 8 rebounds (11-11 shooting)
Andray Blatche- 18 points, 16 rebounds

    Playing Catch Up

    Mar 6th
    Pistons 107
    Kings 99

Tyreke and Knight were at each others throats all game and both finished with 25+ points and 10+ assists. Some great guard play in this one. The Pistons got a little more support from the other players though as both Gordon and Maxiell finished with 20+ points. A big 4th quarter proved to be the difference and The Pistons get the cross conference W.

    Mar 13th
    Jazz 114
    Pistons 116

Richard Jefferson came out of nowhere in this one and was virtually unstoppable the entire game. He finished with a great 38 point performance. The Pistons really pushed the pace in the 1st quarter but slowed down a bit in the 2nd Utah looked as if they were gonna grab the victory. The Pistons were having trouble scoring consistently and were consistently down by 5-10 points. In the 4th B Knight went to work though and would lead a great comeback attempt. The Pistons took the lead with about a minute left I believe and Utah went into intentional foul mode. Richard Jefferson would hit a beautiful 3 pointer with about 10 seconds left in the game to tie things up and try to force OT. Left a little bit too much time on the clock though and Knight hit a beautiful spinning mid range jumper as time expired to grab the victory and break Utah's heart. Great game JFace907

    March 18th
    Raptors 91
    Pistons 98

Another great match up with two over achieving teams in this one. Demar DeRozan was unstoppable and put up 44 points along with 11 boards. Toronto did a good job early on of frustrating Detroit's bigs but it was clear Brandon Knight was gonna carry the team again. I believe Detroit lead for the bulk of this one with Toronto right on their heels and in the end they pulled away by 7 points to secure the victory. Knight finished with 34 points. GG JrRawlins

    T-wolves 22 25 19 29 95
    Suns 25 25 24 16 90

The Timberwolves went into Phoenix looking for a win to keep them third in the playoffs, and stay out of OKC's way. It was close, and they may not have deserved to win, but Minnesota did in fact win behind a huge 4th quarter and great defense from Tony Allen. The Suns got ahead early and kept that lead at about 8 the entire game except for when Minnesota went on mini runs at the end of the quarters. Granger dominated the first 3 quarters, scoring 33 points in those first 3 quarters until Tony Allen, who played most of the game on Steve Nash, switched over to Granger and shut him down. Granger ended up going 15-32 for 38 points. Steve Nash also added 28 points and hit 4 threes in the 2nd half. No other Suns player scored in double figures.

The T-Wolves went on a huge run in the 4th quarter when they were down by about 9. Every missed shot they ran the floor and scored on 2 on 2s or 3 on 2s. When they had to settle down, they got it inside and were able to make plays from the post. Kevin Love did not shoot the ball well, but he was very good inside. Beasley hit a couple deep shots in that run to tie it up, and Tony Allen hit a three from the corner to take the lead. The Wolves held on from there and took home the victory. Beasley ended with 29, Love went for 19 and 11. Rubio added 16 points, but only 3 assists. Tony Allen added 9 points in the 2nd half alone. GG BDSDIGITAL

Dallas capped off the season series 2-0. Dirk Nowitzki had 28 on 13/19 shooting and Shawn Marion dropped 17 on 8-12, at least 6 of those were dunks as he had a monster game inside. Glen Davis was the leading scoring for the Magic with 15. Dallas shot lights out the entire game going 59% from the field and 38% from three point land. gg Bondzai
